A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 581: Controlling the Void Fortress

The last will of the Ancestral Sevenfold Rainbow enveloped the World-Core!

The will did not raise any fear, only desire.

Any creature could have easily arrived at the World-Core with a layer of the essence of the ancient Sevenfold Rainbow’s blood.

However, once the Principal Will of the world had completely fallen into the hands of the Magnetites, the last will of the Sevenfold Rainbow would have followed the final rainbow law into oblivion alongside the Ancestral Sevenfold Rainbow’s reward.

On the other hand, if a ‘rainbow creature’ were to pass the trial and attain the ‘approval’, when the last Magnetite Star has been brought down, the final will of the Ancestral Sevenfold Rainbow would become an inheritance that would be passed on by will and attach itself to the one who could bring down the Magnetite Star.

‘Bringing down the Grand Peak Magnetite Star!?’

Beneath the Mask of Truth, Grimm’s eyes lit up with burning passion. He deftly stared into the seven-colored fluid that formed an orb.

As expected, the path to acquiring the finest material for his Robe of Representations was never meant to be easy!

Without the strength of a World Lord, taking down a Magnetite Star alone was almost impossible.

It would take another full ten years to wait for the Magnetite Star to fall off on its own accord by virtue of the rejecting forces of the world. By then however, the Light of Constellation of the Grand Peak Magnetite Star might have finished dealing with the Evil Blood Dreadlord and would be here to look for the World-Core.

What should he do, give up?

Although his destructive spells had improved by leaps and bounds, it was still impossible for him to bring down a Magnetite Star, not to mention the ancient Level-3 Magnetite Warriors above.

“No, wait!”

Grimm, who had partially fallen into despair, suddenly thought of another possibility. He was startled for a while. A crazy thought appeared in his head.

Grimm could not help but feel excited by his unconventional idea. There was a hint of evil thrill in him!

Yes, there might yet be a slim chance for Grimm.

However, there would be high risks involved and a high price to pay. The only thing Grimm could afford to do right now was use the last of the Awakening Rays on him.

“There’s no more time for hesitation.”

Time was running out. The Grand Peak Magnetite Star could be on its way here. The Hydra Wrath Sorcerer Academy of the Holy Tower of Six Rings could have started the Academy War, as well as the imminent third civilizational war that was about to befall the Sorcerers World.

Grimm clutched onto his Sabbatic Goat Staff tightly. There was a sound of bones crackling. Grimm disappeared in a distortion of space.

At the side of this Foreign World that housed the World-Core, even with the blessings of the Principal Will of the Sorcerers World that was permeating, the law of the world was still rejecting Grimm to the point where he felt pressured and breathless.

At the Void Fortress of the Principal Will of the Sorcerers World.

In a spatial distortion, Grimm reappeared in his old private cabin. The bored Little Myna was flipping a page off a novel of the Sorcerers World. He was pleasantly surprised by Grimm’s appearance as he flew to perch on his shoulder.

“Caw! Caw! Young Master, have you got what you wanted?”

Grimm walked quickly toward the deck of the Void Fortress. With hastened breaths, he replied, “No, but I have big plans soon!”

“Big plans? What kind of big plans? Come on Young Master, tell me, what’s your big plan? Caw! Caw! My beloved master, don’t tell me you plan to overthrow the Magnetite rulers of this world? Caw! Caw! What big plans, I’m panicking here…”

When Little Myna heard Grimm’s tone when he mentioned the “big plan”, he became thrilled to the point of madness.

Little Myna was probably bored out of its wits.

Grimm went to the Void Fortress’s top deck and looked down from the edge. There was no longer any scene of fighting between the four Stigmata Sorcerers and the five eternal mirrors blessed by the Light of Constellation of the Grand Peak Magnetite Star as well as half of the Evil Blood Dreadlord’s river of blood. All five of them had completely disappeared.

Only a chaotic aftermath of a bloody battle remained on the ground. There was also a huge cave opening into the abyss where tens of thousands of Demon-Hunter Sorcerers were busy at work, commanding the Mechanical Marionettes to clear up the scene and collect the spoils of war.

In mid-air, pieces of huge Magnetite Stones that were fragmented into tiny little stones were falling endlessly from the sky.

“Looks like it’s over, this is the last chance!”

As Grimm turned around, the Grand Peak Magnetite Star was no longer as enchanting as before. Although there was still a number of huge Magnetite Stones around, it was almost less than half than it used to be. The Grand Peak Magnetite Star itself had fallen as well. It was almost beneath the layer of clouds.

“Caw! Caw! Previously the Demon-Hunter Sorcerers allowed more time for the Evil Bloods to clone so that they could spend more time looting. That’s why those Evil Bloods were able to wreak such havoc. The Magnetites then wasted a huge effort and paid a large price in order to kill off those clones.”

“Hmm.”

Grimm had already expected this earlier.

He walked quickly toward the interior of the Void Fortress. A patrol leader of the Bright Sorcerers nodded at Grimm as they passed by each other.

After a round of scans by the green light across Grimm’s body, and passing through layers of checks, the huge metal door creaked open. Grimm entered the Battle Command of the Void Fortress.

The expedition was already coming to an end and victory was almost assured. An idle elite Sorcerer of the Battle Command Group nodded at Grimm calmly, thinking that Grimm was merely doing his rounds out of boredom.

“Sorcerer Grimm.”

A sorcerer who sported a white goatee greeted Grimm. It was the same Sorcerer that Grimm had asked to issue a mission to capture the Star Core from the Bloodcoral beast with the promise of a Rank-3 Honor Badge as reward.

Grimm surveyed the Battle Command for a brief moment. He calmly asked,” Is there any Stigmata Sorcerer in the fortress? I have an emergency battle message to announce.”

An emergency battle message!?

Not only the white-goatee old Sorcerer, but also the whole Battle Command room became silent. All of them shifted their eyes toward Grimm without a word.

“White Glazed Tile Stigmata Sorcerer, Thunder Razor Stigmata Sorcerer, and Big Ben Stigmata Sorcerer are two hundred and thirty two hourglasses away from the fortress. They have followed the Light of Constellation of the Grand Peak Magnetite Star into the caverns in search of the World-Core. Elland Garden Stigmata Sorcerer is twelve hourglasses away heading toward coordinates 77421,1837 after an unexpected incident with the Star Core mission of the Bloodcoral beast.”

Did that mean that there were no Stigmata Sorcerers in the Void Fortress, and that even the Light of Constellation was also not at the Magnetite Star?

That…

That was great news indeed!

Grimm was almost out of breath from becoming excited. A once in a lifetime opportunity was ahead of him!

As the old Sorcerer heard about the emergency battle message, he asked in a low voice, “Although the Stigmata Sorcerers are not within the Void Fortress, but if there’s an emergency battle plan, we can easily contact Elland Garden Stigmata Sorcerer who is the nearest to us.”

“Hee Hee Hee Hee, hee hee hee hee.”

Beneath the Mask of Truth, Grimm laughed in an eerie manner. He slowly raised his Sabbatic Goat Staff. The Star Stone turned into a fume of black gas which enveloped his body. His appearance turned into an evil, mysterious, and diabolical figure of a Dark Demon-Hunter Sorcerer. No one could figure out what he was thinking inside.

“Sound the battle horn of the highest authority in the Void Fortress. Gather up all the Demon-Hunter Sorcerers around, we’re launching an all-out attack on the Grand Peak Magnetite Star!”

At the same time, Grimm had mobilized the Principal Will of the Sorcerers World. He appeared authoritative as he gently pressed his left hand at the heart of the Void Fortress within the Battle Command!

Buzz…

The Principal Will of the Sorcerers World represented the highest authority within the Void Fortress. At this moment, Grimm had taken full control of the Void Fortress!

“Caw!? Didn’t you guys hear what my young master said? Move!”

Little Myna was screeching at the group of elite Sorcerers of the Battle Command who were still in disbelief and hesitation.

“I disagree with your plans to escalate the war. The Magnetites have applied to join the Sorcerer Coalition. We’ve completed the Fate Contract of wiping out the Evil Blood Dreadlord. We can’t renege on the Magnetites without a good enough reason, and abandon a stable source of income as well as the production of Sorcerer Coins in this world…”

A Level-2 Sorceress that had a green veil covering half her face protested.

Grimm, who was focused on controlling the heart of the fortress, suddenly turned his head. Beneath the Mask of Truth, with no tinge of emotion, he calmly called out,” Guard! Arrest her, hold her in the quarters for now.”

Stomp, stomp, stomp!

Within the Battle Command, more than ten high-level advanced Mechanical Marionnettes approached the Sorceress.

The Sorcerers around her were taken aback. Controlled by Grimm’s will, strands of fierce-looking vines reached outward, threatening anyone who dared to oppose his orders with lightning attacks. Even the magical arrays in the Battle Command room were activated. The tremendous amount of magical pressure made them breathless.

Controlling the Battle Command meant controlling the whole Void Fortress.

Now, Grimm was the highest authority of the Void Fortress!
