A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 552: Dull Experiments

Grimm’s experiment that required him to look for materials that carried Destructive Energy needed to be carried out one part after another.

Basic materials, basic energy, complex synthetic materials, complex synthetic energy, undocumented unknown materials, exotic energy, mystical energy…

Among them, both the basic materials and basic energy were the simplest parts.

Even so, Grimm’s basic material filtering experiment went on for decades before his expedition to the Infernal Spirit World!

The number of complex synthetic materials was thousands or tens of thousands of times as many as that of basic materials. If he wanted to complete all the experiments, did that represent tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of years?

Not to mention the complex synthetic energy as well…

The number of both these synthetic materials and synthetic energy were several times or dozens of times more than both the basic materials and basic energy combined. As for the undocumented unknown materials, strange energy, and mystical energy, luck was needed…

Even if the resources were sufficient, it was simply impossible to complete all the experiments with the ‘Feel Time’ that an official Sorcerer had within ten thousand years!

It was even impossible for both the “Half-step Time” of Level-3 Sorcerers and the “True Time” of Stigmata Sorcerers!

Although Destructive Energy was more powerful and difficult to study than other higher energies, it was not difficult to see that the higher energy research that must be completed to achieve the level of a stigmata did indeed require a lot of effort and some luck!

Three months later, a Purple Tulip Family Sorcerer sent Grimm all the custom-built Basic Crystallized Energy Stones.

Therefore, the Destructive Energy experiment was able to continue on!

Grimm did not immediately experiment with these Basic Crystallized Energy Stones, but experimented with some “special” energy that he had collected.

First, it was naturally the Darkness Pool!

This was the mystical energy that originated from the Frozen Throne of the Dark Destroyer Kingdom’s Capital that the Vulkshy Infernal God once contacted.

By mastering the Darkness Pool, one could easily walk in the darkness, become the darkness, and conceal one’s self most perfectly in the sense of light and vision, become friends with the dark creatures and obtain their innate dependence and protection.

Grimm opened his mouth, and spat out a black crystal nucleus.

This was the nucleus formed when the Savage Flame Giant evolved into the Dark Devourer Infernal Spirit Giant. Waves of the Darkness Pool’s mystical energy lingered around, devouring the penetrating rays of light.

Grimm’s hand seemed to reach into a dark mass.

For this reason, Grimm’s elemental creature, the Dark Devourer Infernal Spirit Giant, entered the Infernal Swordsmanship via the “Vulkshy Infernal Curse” and possessed the Infernal Blades. This became a leapfrog sorcery that Grimm could use to directly face Level-2 official Elemental Sorcerers.

Grimm did not summon the Dark Devourer Infernal Spirit Giant, but instead took out a special crystal vial and collected some Darkness Pool surrounding the Giant’s nucleus.

After swallowing the crystal nucleus again, Grimm looked at the crystal vial.

The Darkness Pool in the crystal vial was dark, extremely solidified and stable, but it seemed to have lost its ability to swallow light, which was completely different from the situation where the Destructive Energy absorbed light in all directions.

This was true darkness. Although it was a mystical energy, it had approached the nature laws of the Endless World.

After a while.

Grimm put this vial of darkness in the Energy Intensified Rubber of the Destructive Energy Observation Recorder Tool, waiting for the Rubber Cubes to gradually transform from liquid to solid.

The energy experiment substances that Grimm had collected in the Infernal Spirit World was not only the Darkness Pool.

A grotesque strange fish with blood-red flesh tumors was taken out of the world laboratory by Grimm. The fish was about one meter long, with a sucker on its long tongue. It was cruel and cold-eyed.

This strange fish was an abyssal fish creature in the Infernal Spirit World. It was found when both Grimm and Claudia intended to lurk into the Acraepoid City to collect Abyss Cataclysm information.

Crackle!

A black electrical arc that came from the strange fish struck Grimm.

Grimm was already prepared. As he reached for the black arc with one hand, a special Crystalized Stone the size of a fist appeared.

After a short while, under the control of Grimm’s subtle energy, the black electrical arc was completely contained in the Crystalized Stone.

“Mhmm, it’s done. This black electrical arc that disrupts cell connections and causes unresponsiveness is very special, and it is indeed an abyssal creature.”

Grimm put this small special Crystalized Stone, with the black arc sealed within, in another Energy Intensified Rubber of the Destructive Energy Observation Recorder Tool, waiting for the Rubber Cubes to gradually transform from liquid to solid.

At the same time, the first Energy Intensified Rubber Cube of the Destructive Energy Observation Recorder Tool containing the Darkness Pool had been completely solidified.

“Let’s take a look and see if the Darkness Pool is the carrier of Destructive Energy!”

As Grimm thoroughly activated the Destructive Energy Observation Recorder Tool, in a deafening energy mixing buzz, the ground began to shake with rumbling sounds. The lights in the Demon-Hunter Castle began to distort in an irregular state and were being sucked into a crystal vessel.

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!

Indescribable pressure was released from the crystal vessel.

In every one-eighteenth of a second, the instrument internally conducted fifty-four intense mutual repulsive energy mixing for a short period of time, and an extremely dark flame appeared.

After waiting for the Destructive Energy Observation Recorder Tool to return to its original state, Grimm sighed in disappointment after looking at the empty space inside the instrument.

“It seems that the Darkness Pool is not the carrier of the Destructive Energy.”

Although he was already prepared for it, facing a mystical energy that was being placed with extremely high hopes that ended up just like other basic materials, where nothing was left after the use of Destructive Energy, Grimm felt tremendously dejected.

It seemed that a certain time had come.

Grimm instinctively took out a broken lightning-patterned branch and used the Mask of Truth to make a dynamic visual observation for a moment, then placed it on the experiment table.

The secret of the broken branch had been revealed with Grimm’s efforts worth hundreds of years.

What were the laws of this stable and harmless Lightning Force?

With his body’s gradual inclination toward this law, it would lead to a new lightning law, changing his body into a material similar to the broken branch. What kind of change would it be?

After hundreds of years of hard work, it was finally time for harvest.

Having taken out the Destructive Energy Experiment Notes, Grimm wrote down the power of the Darkness Pool’s mystical energy before drawing a red cross after it and making a short note.

Without any rest, Grimm placed a new Energy Intensified Rubber into the empty Destructive Energy Observation Recorder Tool, which was then followed by an Ice Top!

This was a stupid experiment only conducted by Ancient Sorcerers.

One’s relentless experiments with one material after another in hopes of finding the desired answer instead of using basic calculation formulas was exactly like gambling.

The Sorcerers World seemed to be much stronger than the Ancient Sorcerers World, and had made great progress in many basic materials. But in terms of true advanced knowledge, the Sorcerers World had not been changed qualitatively.

At this time, the Energy Intensified Rubber of the Destructive Energy Observation Recorder Tool containing the abyssal strange fish’s black electrical arc had been solidified. With an uneasy feeling, Grimm activated the Destructive Energy Observation Recorder Tool again.

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!

With the deafening energy mixing buzz, the ground began to shake with rumbling sounds. The lights in the Demon-Hunter Castle began to distort in an irregular state once again.

Three seconds later, after waiting for the Destructive Energy Observation Recorder Tool to return to its original state, staring at the empty space inside the instrument was something Grimm had already gotten used to.

“It seems that the black electrical arc is not the carrier of Destructive Energy either.”
