“What did you say!?”

Phwoosh!

It felt like all the flaming coral bushes were burning at the same time when Grimm coldly dropped the “the same fate awaits you” line while charging up the Destructive Force. The Bloodcoral beast’s eyes lit up in a fiery rage. The golden horn on top of its head exploded into a pure ember-gold color. A mist of bloodfire was about to consume Grimm whole.

The ignited bloodfire was pouring ceaselessly into the black hole on top of Grimm’s Sabbatic Goat Staff. It created a force from all directions that overwhelmed Grimm!

Hmm!?

Grimm was startled as his plan to overpower the creature into fleeing failed.

The ancient beast was definitely not just any Level-3 creature. It must be one of those super-powerful ones!

Creatures like this were bound to appear in every world. They were at the top tier of all Level-3 creatures that had more potential to become a World Lord!

The most classic example would be Jyurongshan from the Shadow World.

The creature in front of him might not have reached the level of Jyurongshan where a World Lord had taken notice of it yet, but the power that it possessed might not be something that could be handled by a Level-2 Sorcerer like Grimm.

He was able to kill a Level-3 creature thanks to his super-powerful destructive spell, his sneak attack, and the fact that these ancient creatures were weakening.

When all three of the conditions were not met, the difference between Grimm and the Level-3 creature was astounding.

“Roar! Do not lump me together with the others, you arrogant Sorcerer!”

Whoosh! Its speed was too fast! The Bloodcoral beast appeared in front of Grimm in an instant like a blazing flame. Although its body was only three meters in length, the Bloodcoral creature seemed like a trailing fireball that was ten meters long. Its scaly red claw came down for a maim!

Underneath the Mask of Truth, Grimm’s pupil instantly contracted.

The Bloodcoral beast’s tremendous speed had triggered the Mask of Truth’s motion sensor. It was the only reason why Grimm could react to it. He swung his Sabbatic Goat Staff that was absorbing light from within a hundred meters’ range in an attempt to block the attack.

Boom!

On one hand, the black destructive arc penetrated tens of meters of the fireball shield layer. The Bloodcoral beast’s claw that landed on the destructive flame of the Sabbatic Goat Staff was pulverized.

On the other hand, scorched by the ten-meter tall flame, Grimm crashed into the ground like a meteorite falling out from the skies.

“Femurs—broken. Right rib cage—all broken. Massive bleeding in the lungs. Right hand—”

Grimm analyzed his wounds instantly in the crater that was more than ten meters wide. He quickly consumed the super healing potion that was made from the King of Snowthread’s Ice Top.

An astonishing surge of life energy followed the elemental power of frost. A blazing fast regeneration process was accompanied by the dissimilation sorcery. There was a crisp crackling sound coming from Grimm’s flesh. The structural tissues in his body were being weaved by hundreds of thousands of soft feelers. The scene was unhuman-like, as if a monster had taken on the skin of a human being.

“Level one Wild Instinct, open!”

A layer of dark scales that appeared like silver coins covered his whole body. In just one breath, Grimm’s body that had finished its repairs completed his Wild Instinct Transformation.

His body was slightly pulled longer. The power of the wilderness drew out a feral look in him. The life energy and frost element from the potion had actually created a layer of ice crystal armor on his body.

Still, the layer of ice armor was nothing compared to Grimm’s Sorcerer’s Barrier that had been easily ruptured.

“Mass reduction! Negate!”

Although Grimm’s wounds have yet to heal completely, he did not hesitate and used the Star Stone to reduce his mass to the lowest possible limit. Complemented by the negating forces and the first level of Wild Instinct Transformation, Grimm, who had achieved maximum peak in his flesh catapulted himself tens of meters away.

Bam!

Under the approaching ember-red light, a massive bloodfire shockwave impacted the crater that Grimm was in moments ago. The crack in the ground spread hundreds of meters wide. In the middle of the crater, the Bloodcoral beast raised its head. Its pair of wrathful eyes was locked on to the fleeing Grimm. It suddenly opened its mouth.

Lightning was crackling in the sky. After teleporting more than a hundred meters away, he could sense that he was being locked on by an unbelievable amount of energy. The hair on his body stood up on ends!

Grimm now realized that he was fighting against a creature that was the most powerful in this world other than the Evil Blood Dreadlord and Light of Constellation of the Magnetite Star. This creature was an even more terrifying existence compared to the main body of the Evil Blood. Thus, Grimm abandoned his goal to gather the Evil Blood and flaming coral bush.

But he did not think that the beast was intent on obliterating him.

Moreover, it had the ability to do just that!

A fist-sized shining pearl appeared from the mouth of the Bloodcoral beast. Grimm could feel an exasperating energy locking on to him. He sensed the power of the Magnetite Star within the shining pearl.

That was one of the Star Cores that had fallen from the Magnetite Star!

It actually had one with it!?

Even before he came to the Magnetite World, Grimm already had knowledge of one of the world’s treasures, the Magnetite Star Core. Even for a Stigmata Sorcerer, the gemstone was tantalizing.

The Light of Constellation of the Magnetite Star had already lost the blessings of the world and was demoted to a creature beneath the World Lord. But by leveraging the power of a Star Core, one could mobilize the entire light of the Magnetite Star and become an existence that could face off with a World Lord.

The Evil Blood Dreadlord was only a Level-4 World Lord before it was sealed away. But as the power of the world continuously pulled down Magnetite Stars from the sky, the Star Cores were pulled into the river of blood by the Principal Will of the world. The Star Cores had brought with them unthinkable energy after millenia that had helped the Evil Blood Dreadlord to become a Level-5 creature!

Some of the Stigmata Sorcerers were so passionate in sealing the Evil Blood Dreadlord away to obtain the Star Core within its body.

It was also one of the reasons that they have chosen to side with the Magnetites.

But right now, at this moment, within the mouth of this Bloodcoral beast…

The energy felt like it could deal a damage of over 10,000 degrees. Grimm understood now the despair felt by Noble Yimo when he was instantly wiped out by his Essence of Black isotta when he first stepped into the Infernal Spirit World through the Burrow World’s gate.

The ancient beast had attained such a high level!

“Die, you arrogant, unrefined, evil Sorcerer!”

A light column that was more than ten meters wide shot out from the mouth of the Bloodcoral beast, causing the cavern to quake violently. The radiant light decimated all traces of the thousand-hornet explosive spell that had been heedlessly cast by Grimm, shattering them into ice flakes. The column of light had swallowed Grimm up completely.

Grinning coldly, the Bloodcoral beast opened its mouth again. The Star Core was now back within the beast.

There was a gaping hole that was a few hundred meters long stretched across the top of the cavern. But the cave had been reinforced by the Bloodcoral beast to prevent cave-ins.

The beast looked toward the sky where Grimm had been pulverized without a trace. It then returned to the flaming coral bush. In a painful moan, its claw that had been decimated by the destructive spell started to grow back again within the light of the flaming coral bush.

“So, this is the Sorcerer. What a troublesome creature. Who knows how many more Sorcerers of this level there are other than the four that had been led away by the Sevenfold Rainbow. I better leave this world as soon as possible, there’s no more time to waste!”

Buzz…

Suddenly, a streak of lightning startled the Bloodcoral beast that was still regenerating its claw. It jumped up in disbelief and yelled, “Impossible!”

On the other hand, the fleeing Grimm was in a state of dizziness. After triggering this round of Immortal Body, his mental strength had dropped by thirty over points!

“Great, this piece of information regarding the Star Core would go into my contribution toward the expedition this time. I must issue a Rank-3 Honor Badge mission immediately back at the Void Fortress and lead more Demon-Hunter Sorcerers here to finish the mission!”

It was unfortunate that he could not acquire the Star Core for himself. Still, it was not within his capabilities anyway.

However, through issuing the mission to steal the Star Core, Grimm would earn himself a huge sum of Sorcerer Essences after the expedition once the mission had been accomplished.

“He didn’t die… sh*t.”

The Bloodcoral beast’s heart sank. It knew that it would be exposed soon. It could no longer afford to be at ease.

In a state of disbelief and shock, the Bloodcoral beast decided not to pursue him in the end.

The flaming coral bush was already at its most critical period. The Bloodcoral beast would never leave the flaming coral bush behind. Grimm, however, had teleported away and vanished from the cavern.

The beast curled its tongue and swallowed the Star Core again. It gritted its teeth. With a feeling of uneasiness, the beast once again laid down beside the unusual flaming coral bush. Its eyes lit up as if it were pondering upon something.
