Chapter 599: Deterrent Confrontation

Grimm casually brought Little Myna along into the High Level Elemental Knowledge class of Hydra Wrath as he was about to conduct a lecture for tens of Sorcerer-Apprentices in the class.

They were recognized by the academy as Elite Sorcerer-Apprentices as they had already started to learn and understand more about sorcerer knowledge while modifying it to suit their own attributes, they were different from low-level Sorcerer-Apprentices that would only mimic the same fundamental theories.

Although Grimm was assigned by Master Peranos to take on the mission to cultivate the Sorcerer-Apprentices, however, there were still high costs incurred for the lessons, and each Sorcerer-Apprentice would be required to pay ten Magic Stones for each lesson.

On top of that, there would still be a thousand additional Magic Stones given by the Sorcerer Tower for Grimm’s basic mission reward.

Those were the rightful treatment that a Level-2 Sorcerer would have.

The first mission to be a Stigmata Sorcerer was to gather sufficient supportive resources to sustain the functioning of a Sorcerer Tower Academy system, as there would be an enormous cost incurred to support thousands of official Sorcerers as well as hundreds of thousands of Sorcerer-Apprentices every hundred years.

“Prying on higher degrees of leverage law, elemental combination or elemental structure would be the best way for Sorcerers to master the fundamental techniques.”

While explaining, Grimm raised his index finger and an Ice Hornet appeared with high frequency buzzing sound from its wings, it was vivid and realistic.

“Caw caw caw, Lord Myna is commanding you to pay attention to the Ice Element and do not think that this is irrelevant to your own elemental experiment, I have seen a lot of these since my early days, and I am telling all of you, Sorcerers…”

Grimm moved Little Myna aside and indicated for him to stop being arrogant like he always was.

“This Ice Hornet Sorcery is able to pry the Ice Elemental law thirteen times, while there are sorceries among the official Sorcerers that would be able to easily pry the Elemental law twenty times; therefore, this sorcery would be considered as less powerful than the others.”

Sorcerer-Apprentices that were below the stage seemed to be slightly lost and did not really understand the lesson as they recorded their notes.

Sorcerer-Apprentices who had been following Grimm’s lessons for the past one year would know that his lessons were different from other Sorcerers.

What was the difference?

While other Sorcerers would lecture on theories and knowledge of sorceries, Grimm would lecture on sorcerer knowledge, which was the method for a Sorcerer to pursue the truth!

Sorcerer knowledge would be able to transform a normal person into a Sorcerer-Apprentice, however Sorcerer-Apprentices would only be able to move to the next step to become Sorcerers by mastering sorcerer knowledge, low level Sorcerer-Apprentices might only be able to understand the tip of the iceberg when it came to Grimm’s lessons; however, the same lesson would be a cultivation method for high level Sorcerer-Apprentices to become Elite Sorcerer-Apprentices.

However, for Sorcerers that were similar to Grimm’s level in pursuing the truth, how many of them were Arcane Sorcerers?

How many of them would sacrifice their time to conduct lessons for these Sorcerer-Apprentices?

“Furthermore, this is just fundamental elemental energy knowledge that can be mastered easily in the early stages; however, theoretically, there is still a limit on its ultimate potential where it would be more difficult to improvise the elemental sorcery structure after prying the law ten times, and Sorcerers can never rely on restructuring the elemental structure to fulfil the endless prying of laws for power.”

A poof sound was heard when a fireball was conjured between Grimm’s fingers, it was a fundamental sorcery that pried the Fire Elemental law five times.

“Apart from restructuring the elemental structure, we can also improvise on its elemental attributes by using the same fundamental knowledge of Sorcerers prying on elemental laws, an example would be compressing the energy of this flame which is formed by Fireball Sorcery!”

The fire ball started to shrink in Grimm’s hand and filled itself with an unstable explosive state.

During his time as a Sorcerer-Apprentice, Grimm had discovered the initial ideas of the “Fire Element Intensified Fire Shield Sorcery”, but he did not conduct further experiment for deeper discovery.

After the Sorcerer-Apprentices were done with their observations and notes, Grimm dissolved the intense fire ball, he continued to wave his hand and his Sabbatic Goat Staff was extended out from his flesh.

The scene spooked many of the Sorcerer-Apprentices that were below the stage, as they gasped and thought that Grimm had use his own flesh to create an evil magical staff, for low level Sorcerer-Apprentices, they would always have various bizarre imagination toward high level Sorcerers; Grimm was also one of them, and it was caused by the isolation between representations and truths.

“A magic tool is also one of the ways for Sorcerers to increase the magnitude of elemental law, as both fundamental theory and knowledge prying law share the same attributes; therefore, other than rune magic array knowledge, gaining Magic Stones and resources would also represent a level of wisdom.”

Grimm let out a sneer under his greyish-white Mask of Truth.

“Disdained? Huhu, if you have enough wealth, a hired Sorcerer would be your greatest magic staff!”

Huh…

A few Sorcerer-Apprentices were shocked by Grimm’s “ridiculous and unrealistic” statement.

Hired Sorcerer?

It would be difficult for the Sorcerer-Apprentices to imagine when they only had tens of hundreds of Magic Stones to live by, if they were to have enough Magic Stones to be changed into Sorcerer Essences, it would eventually make sense to them.

The lesson paused for a moment, and suddenly Grimm broke the silence by letting out a laugh.

“Of course, these are representations of energy. Although it might allow you to look seemingly more powerful, however, it is still far from the true power that is sought after by Sorcerers!”

Grimm spoke in a mysterious deep voice under his Mask of Truth, and a thunderous lightning sparked between the Goat Horns that were on top of his Sabbatic Goat Staff, the thunderous lightning discharged around the staff while the hedging of Ice Element formed into Destructive Force that was contained by the World Veil thunder law, the lights within the classroom were bent and drawn toward the Black Thunder from all directions.

Bent lights had caused irregular dimming and shining of the lights in the classroom, and Grimm stared at the Sorcerer-Apprentices with an emotionless pair of eyes, they were all shocked by the supernatural representations in front of them, and it was as if Grimm was looking down from the highest spot of truth.

“This is the true energy sought after by an Elemental Sorcerer, a high level law fundamental energy!”

The majority of the tens of Sorcerer-Apprentices were astonished, a few gasped in shock and there were also a remaining few that showed strong desire and yearning, as if they had seen the Sorcerer’s journey from the top of a tower.

“Master!’

“Ah, Master…”

Suddenly, there were huge changes in the expressions of the Sorcerer-Apprentices that had shown strong desire, two of them shouted loudly, as if something unbelievable had happened.

Grimm squinted from the corner of his eyes under the Mask of Truth, and managed to sense a slightly unusual movement from behind him.

“An unknown Spectral World?”

The Elemental Rune written on the blackboard behind had started to bend itself and was shaped into the face of an old and skinny Sorcerer, and there was a black claw that seemed dried up, as malevolence appeared on the blackboard and was about to extend from it to mount a sneak attack on Grimm from behind.

Spark!

A black arc discharge flashed through and the blackboard was destroyed, and the destruction from Grimm’s powerful attack had triggered the Magic Array Alarm of the Sorcerer Tower, then, there were large numbers of Guardian Marionettes, Academy Guardian Supports and Arcane Sorcerers rushing toward the classroom.

“You are now my prey, and you will have a full experience of the fear before death, now tremble, now run, huhuhuhuhuhu…”

A deep and croaky voice was heard from the void, and it immediately caused goosebumps to appear on every Sorcerer-Apprentice in the classroom as they trembled in cold sweat.

Grimm remained stationed on the stage and let out a sneer, “Hehe, I dare you to reveal yourself and come forward, you will have the same ending as the two previous concealment Sorcerers.”
