“Student of the 12th District, you had better give up.”

Wicky lightly shook his crystalline, black granite-like head, before speaking further with words that astounded Glenn, “Yesterday, there was already an 11th District student who came around and he was also helpless even though I just stood still and did not retaliate. That student’s strength should be very inferior compared to yours, but nevertheless, he was very strong and quick-witted in battle, a student who studied a rare sorcery of light element.”

Glenn’s expression sank. He had arrived a day late?

If two legendary students simultaneously gathered, Glenn couldn’t say for sure whether or not he would once again utilize the Black Isotta Friendship Key in order to gain absolute victory during this time’s tryouts. And presently, there was only a student who had an indestructible defense yet didn’t possess a competitive spirit. The fact was, it was too much of a waste.

In the midst of this thought, Glenn did not respond from behind the Ashen Mask. He silently mouthed an incantation before a 4-meter tall Greed Flame Giant slowly appeared beside him.

*ROAR!*

After letting out a deafening roar, a tremendous sword formed out of a mix of water and thunder elements appeared in the hand of the Greed Flame Giant. The mouths on its stomach and back were both excited, simultaneously letting out ear-piercing, intoxicated howls.

Glenn didn’t summon the Bloodlust Doll because, with his opponent’s ridiculous defensive strength, it would only be regarded as decoration.

After making this move, Glenn saw that his opponent still had not moved at all. Together with the Greed Flame Giant, he charged toward his opponent from both sides in a pincer attack. From one side there came a thundering, earth-shaking roar while on the other side there was a swift-footed, nimble ghost. One ax and one sword simultaneously fell toward the student whose body was covered with crystallized black granite.

Underneath Wicky’s arched black granite crystal brows, his deep-set eyes flickered.

“What? This activated element transformed organism is actually really special and seems like a somewhat wonderful ability. Only, there is no definite material used to create it…” Wicky’s eyes narrowed slightly. He used a hand to lift his gigantic hammer to meet Glenn. He used his other hand, which was made huge and only covered in crystallized black granite, to block against the Greed Flame Giant and unexpectedly, some kind of special energy fluctuated before he resisted the Water-Thunder Element sword.

*POW…*

At the same time, Glenn backed up as he threw a small vial of medicament at Wicky’s cumbersome body using repulsive force. Immediately, purple smoke filled the air.

The vial had contained an uncommon chemical compound customized for Sorcerers to use in the study of the skeletons of certain ancient organisms capable of corroding seemingly solid rock. Perhaps this drug would be ineffective on common earth element sorcery, but the opponent’s sorcery was somewhat special. It was perhaps possible for it to have some effect.

*HOWWWL*

Suddenly, the Greed Flame Giant let out a howl of grief. Glenn was startled at the response through their mental link, while his expression also changed slightly.

This was…

The disintegrating characteristic ability of the earth element?

The Greed Flame Giant, howling in anguish, withdrew from the range of the purple smoke. At this moment, its entire right arm was unexpectedly in a loose, granulated state. Specks of black flame changed to granules, specks of light vanished and continuously fell apart. The effect appeared to be some kind of curse in general.

As far as Sorcerer-Apprentice ranks went, the earth element’s most basic two types of characteristic transformations were precisely petrification and granulation. Regarding the petrification characteristic, it was an unavoidable research of the property that all earth element students on the whole practiced. However, it was very rare for students to study granulation.

Along with this property known as the earth element disintegration transformation capability, the study would be later followed up by granulation in more in-depth applications of the possibilities of the earth element. Even some uncommon earth element runes could also immediately bring about this kind of result.

The purple smoke dissipated, and Wicky looked at Glenn as if nothing had happened.

‘I don’t know whether it was the drug having no effect or my opponent’s earth element disintegration energy effectively disintegrating the molecules of the chemical compound,’ Glenn deeply contemplated. He unsummoned the Greed Flame Giant, his gaze somewhat solemn.

Even if this legendary level student had the restriction of being unable to separate from the earth, his strength had to be a lot greater than what he could imagine. Or it could be said it was a sorcery setup which was a perfect control of oneself.

But…

Glenn’s figure distorted as he flew and arrived at a stone pillar 200-meters away. He took a deep breath before suddenly spreading out his arms, one hand for fire element and the other hand for water element. The two elements with repelling natures weaved together, guided and controlled by mystic mental strength. In front of Glenn, it started to rapidly assemble, taking the shape of a dark-red sphere of energy.

This was Glenn’s second time demonstrating his Fire Blast Spell. Moreover, his calculation error from before was already fixed. Even though it still had water element rising and an uncommon rune of this unstable element, the speed in which it assembled was nevertheless very fast. In the span of several breaths’ of time, this dark-red energy sphere was already close to finished.

Glenn sighed slightly in his mind.

The uncommon water element rune of Bionna’s gift, on one hand, helped Glenn complete the Fire Blast Spell. Yet, at the same time—because of some unstable characteristics together with the destructive property within the Fire Blast Spell seeking out water—the fire element was stable but attaining stability with the success of the destructive reaction gave it an unstable factor.

So this was why Glenn had additionally demanded 100-milliliters of Ice Age Mille’s blood when he had agreed to sign a contract with her several days ago.

The Fire Blast Spell itself was public knowledge, not at all worth the efforts made by Glenn to thoroughly study it because one would not be able to genuinely reach the pinnacle of his potential just by following the footsteps of predecessors in this period; this would already be reflected during the period of time spent as a Sorcerer-Apprentice. What Glenn truly cared about was conjecturing the nature of the destructive energy property after the creation of the Fire Blast Spell, the wondrous energy which had baffled countless Sorcerers from antiquity.

If Glenn could master bringing these two contradicting energies together and bring into being a new type of energy and use it…

In the wake of the dark-red energy sphere formed in front of Glenn, in the distance, Earth Heart Wicky’s expression changed slightly!

On one hand, Wicky absolutely could not separate from the earth or else Glenn would use that intriguing Repulsive and Gravitational Forces Sorcery to pull him up into the sky. On the other hand, Wicky’s physical defense was absolutely unable to resist this kind of destructive attack, a spell which surpassed their class as students.

A spotlessly white set of teeth could be seen gritting between his black granite armor. Feeling a headache, he said, “This guy—in the end, what system of sorcery did he study? Why can’t I also see a bit of the orthodox elemental Sorcerer system? He really is just like a freak! Hey… Forget about it. Fortunately, I selected this place beforehand and prepared for a very long time. This is genuinely the first time in this world that I have to use this unique formidable sorcery of mine!”

Saying this, Wicky’s body actually began to emit marvelous soul waves and earth element. The powers of life and dark element magic waves combined. Following an incantation rapidly chanted in a deep and low tone, the fascinating yet indescribable, groundbreaking revival of life was actually enacted by the hand of Wicky!

This sort of feeling being given off was similar to the marvelous power which the earth used to nurture life in ancient times!

A deep and low roar was let out. “Wicky Activated Reincarnation Great Sorcery!”

*Rumble! RUMBLE!*

Suddenly, the earth started to tremble, as if some kind of colossus was beginning to awaken. Accompanying the wake of an oppressive roar, the enormous stone pillar behind Wicky, which had a diameter of seven-to-eight meters and height of thirty-plus meters, unexpectedly sprouted limbs. It slowly stood up, and then a pair of vivid and realistic eyes the color of lime unhurriedly opened.

*RUMBLE!*

Apparently somewhat excessively heavy, this terrifying obelisk giant rigidly lifted up its right foot and set it down in front of Wicky to cover him.

On top of a distant pillar, in the split second Glenn heard “Wicky Activated Reincarnation Great Sorcery,” he nearly couldn’t believe his ears.

This 14th District student unexpectedly also used his own name to christen unique sorcery?

When that over thirty-meters tall obelisk giant had slowly opened its eyes, Glenn was thoroughly shaken. This kind of inconceivable sorcery?! This was the wondrous sorcery which bestowed new life to dead matter?

No…

Perhaps it only temporarily bestowed life, but Glenn had never heard of this kind of amazing sorcery spoken of. Even in his dreams, he never could have fancied this. Crossing this sort of sorcery and activated element transformation sorcery was a concept from two completely different dimensions

In the instant that the terrifying obelisk giant had opened its eyes and took a single step, the dark-red energy sphere before Glenn’s chest was completed at last.

In the next moment, the sky became dark. Amidst a dreadful calm, a dark-red beam of light flashed past.

*BOOM!*

A deep-red wave of fire suddenly rose over thirty meters from the ground, completely submerging the obelisk giant in no time at all. The vast stretch of black soil was overturned in the midst of a flaring, stormy blaze. The ground began to sink in bursts and invisible shock waves spread outwards in all directions for hundreds of meters.

Behind Glenn’s Ashen Mask, his long golden hair swayed in the wind.

Abruptly feeling his mental strength tingle, Glenn—in a state of shock—hastened to take back the mental strength he was using to observe the situation. His pale, astonished expression was mixed with pleasant surprise.

Even mental strength was incapable of interacting with Destructive Force?

No wonder sorcerers of antiquity highly regarded this type of mystic energy…

No less than nearly ten breaths’ of time later, a mushroom-shaped fog rose nearly 100-meters from the evaporated moisture of the black soil, and dirt gradually rained down from the skies. After hearing the sound of the 30+ meter obelisk giant shattering into pieces and toppling over, Glenn’s pupils suddenly became pinpricks.

There was a gigantic pit with a diameter over 30-meters and a center-depth of 7 to 8 meters.

Besides the already collapsed thirty-plus meters tall obelisk giant, located behind this pile of broken rock was an obelisk giant only over 10-meters tall which was marked all over with traces of damage. Behind it stood the tall Wicky, carrying his huge hammer. Albeit startled, he excitedly said, “You see. I already said this fight was meaningless…”

Although Wicky’s words were relaxed, he was gasping for breath while simultaneously using a hand to support his waist, furtively checking his space pocket. Glenn’s Fire Blast Spell had truly frightened him.

As Glenn took a breather, he actually got an absurd feeling at this very moment!

His so-called trump card. Used once during the battle with Hill Woods. Used once during the battle with Wicky, which was happening right now, and it was actually…

At this very moment, Glenn was simply like how Kyrie was during the time of the First-Year Trial. The Wicky right before him was precisely like Glenn when he was using the Ashen Mask as a defensive cover. There was nothing he could do…

Gritting his teeth and while gasping for breath, Glenn said, “Wicky Activated Reincarnation Great Sorcery. Earth Heart Wicky from the Seven-Ring Holy Tower’s 14th District, I am 12th District Black Isotta student Glenn. In the future, if there is an opportunity and fortunate timing arises, I am willing to use the highest price I am capable of paying to exchange for your unique knowledge of this activated reincarnation sorcery!”

When he finished speaking, Glenn—regardless of Wicky’s reaction—departed without looking back. He headed to a distant location followed by Claytia, who had long been overcome with amazement.

“Exchange?” Wicky shook his head. He seemed to not have even the slightest interest in Glenn’s words.

This sort of exclusive knowledge that seemed to be just like Glenn’s Life Code—at what price would it take to get that in return?
