Soul Emperor Martial God

Chapter 128: Chapter 127: Mysterious Profundity Realm, Transcending the Mundane and Entering Dao

”””On the huge screen, Breaking Core, Meridian Melting, Qi Condensation Spring, the three steps, all in one breath.

Qi Pill, True Veins, melted into the Qi Spring Space.

Thereafter, the projection returned to its original form; and then it repeated these three steps again.

Two hours later, on the projection, the three steps had been repeated dozens of times.

Xiao Yi watched every second, not daring to slack off in the slightest, and sought to familiarize himself with all the steps, clear in his mind.

In this way, when it was his turn to really make the breakthrough, he would be fully confident.

His eyes dared not leave the screen’s projection for half a second, staring intently.

What he didn’t notice was that at his side, Elder Yi was smiling faintly.

”You little brat, when I said I could guide you, you wouldn’t come; when I refused to exchange the Mysterious Profundity Breakthrough Record for you, you simply went out to experience it yourself. That’s rather bold and quite proud.”

...

Two hours later, Elder Yi waved his hand, and the huge screen shrank back to its original size.

Xiao Yi was startled, obviously not having had enough, but he immediately responded and bowed to Elder Yi.

”Thank you for your guidance, Elder Yi,” Xiao Yi said gratefully.

This casually projected screen from Elder Yi had given him great help.

The detailed explanations also increased his knowledge substantially.

Had he relied solely on his own external experiences, who knows how long it would have taken.

Elder Yi waved his hand and said, ”I agreed to guide you for a day, and now it’s only been two hours, it’s not yet time to thank me.”

”Stop.” Elder Yi exclaimed, and the image on the screen projection instantly froze.

It froze at the position where the Qi Spring Space appeared.

”Next, I will explain the disparity in the Qi Spring, and how to cultivate in the Mysterious Profundity Realm. If there’s anything you don’t understand, feel free to ask me.”

As soon as Elder Yi’s voice fell, the surrounding trees trembled, and then numerous green leaves danced toward them, finally consolidating into two leafy cushions.

”What a marvelous technique,” Xiao Yi said, slightly startled.

If it were a Plant Type Martial Artist, controlling these leaves would be simple.

But clearly, Elder Yi did not use Martial Soul Power, but rather his internal True Qi.

Meaning, this was a technique.

”Sit,” Elder Yi said quietly with a smile, ”These techniques, after you break through to the Mysterious Profundity Realm, you will also be able to use them. Binding space, controlling all things. Of course, I will explain this to you later too.”

The two sat on the cushions.

”Alright, back on track, let’s talk about this Qi Spring. Ten zhang in length, width, and height, it contains True Qi that is obviously much more than what was stored in the Qi Pill and True Veins before.”

”It’s more than a hundred times more,” Xiao Yi said in astonishment, ”I feel that reaching the Mysterious Profundity Realm, one has already surpassed the category of Martial Artists.”

”Correct,” Elder Yi nodded, ”How do you think Mysterious Profundity Realm Warriors’ capacities to fly and tunnel come from, and how these magical techniques come about? Naturally, it’s by the immense True Qi within the body.”

”Moreover, after the Mysterious Profundity Realm, one can be termed as a Cultivator.”

”In the eyes of ordinary people, even Low-Level Martial Artists, the Mysterious Profundity Realm is seen almost like a divine existence, capable of anything.”

”Of course, Cultivators are still Martial Artists. In this world, all rules, all trajectories, are formed from Martial Arts; those who cultivate Martial Arts, no matter what realm, whatever strength, are all called Martial Artists.”

”Only, the Mysterious Profundity Realm is too strong, far exceeding the Innate Realm and reaching another level of realm, thus being honored as Cultivators.”

As Elder Yi spoke, he said gravely, ”There is a more accurate term for the Mysterious Profundity Realm, called ’Entering Tao’. However, I don’t know if you understand, and it’s hard to explain. Whether you can understand it depends on your own comprehension.”

”Entering Tao?” Xiao Yi’s eyes shone as he murmured, ”Ascending from the mundane to the Dao.”

Elder Yi nodded in satisfaction, ”Not bad, your understanding is also acceptable, it seems your comprehension far exceeds what I expected.”

Elder Yi suddenly changed the topic, ”Alright, let’s not talk about this for now. How strong the Mysterious Profundity Realm really is, you’ll have to wait until you truly break through to feel it for yourself, talking more now is of no use.”

”Back to the differences. The Qi Spring, ten zhang in length, width, and height, that’s the minimum standard.”

”The minimum?” Xiao Yi was startled.

”Mm,” Elder Yi said, ”For typical Mysterious Profundity Realm Warriors, their Qi Springs are several dozen zhang, ordinary geniuses can reach fifty zhang; even more formidable geniuses can reach eighty zhang.”

”For an Outer Disciple of our Sky-splitting Sword Sect, the weakest can reach one hundred zhang. Currently, the strongest among the Outer Disciples has just reached one hundred fifty zhang.”

”Whereas the Inner Disciples can at least reach two hundred zhang. The strongest today has reached three hundred zhang.”

”The size of the Qi Spring, all depends on oneself. The potency of the Qi Pill, the strength of the True Veins, the grade of the Martial Soul.”

”As I mentioned before, the stronger the Qi Pill and True Veins, the more power needed to melt them; naturally, the condensed Qi Spring will be larger.”

As Elder Yi finished speaking, Xiao Yi’s face was completely astonished.

Three hundred zhang, what an astonishing concept. To store so much True Qi in the body, if it were to be released, what terrifying level of combat power would that reach?

”Surprised already?” Elder Yi chuckled, ”This is the difference between geniuses and mediocres, as well as the disparity in power.”

”But, do you find it terrifying?” Elder Yi asked.

”How could this not be terrifying?” Xiao Yi exclaimed.

”Fool,” Elder Yi scolded with a laugh, ”Don’t be scared by the numbers. Take the best disciple of our Sky-splitting Sword Sect, three hundred zhang, compared to an ordinary genius’s fifty zhang, it’s only six times more.”

”Do you think our best disciple can’t beat six ordinary geniuses of the same realm?”

”Uh, this...” Xiao Yi furrowed his brow, ”Elder Yi, you’re distorting the facts a bit, obviously, this can’t be calculated with a simple arithmetic approach.”

”Martial Artists’ bodies, when filled with True Qi, become multiple times stronger,” Elder Yi said with a smile. ”Let me ask you, could a Martial Artist’s small body withstand the release of three hundred feet of True Qi simultaneously?”

Xiao Yi suddenly realized, ”I understand now. The size of the Qi Spring, though it affects the strength of the combat power, the degree is not significant. The real importance lies in the sustainable duration of combat.”

Three hundred feet of True Qi would be enough for a Mysterious Profundity Realm Warrior to fight for a long time without running out of True Qi and losing all combat power.

”Correct.” Elder Yi smiled satisfactorily.

He hadn’t expected Xiao Yi’s comprehension to be so high, grasping his points immediately.

For a teacher, a bright student saved a lot of worry.

”It’s still the same statement, once you truly break through to the Mysterious Profundity Realm, you will feel the change,” Elder Yi said.

”Besides the differences I just mentioned, there are rumors of a supreme genius whose Qi Spring reaches an astonishing five hundred feet. Of course, I haven’t seen it myself.”

”Alright,” Elder Yi continued, ”I’ve explained the differences in Qi Springs, next is the matter of capabilities.”

”What we will discuss next is the key of keys, Small World. You should know that the Qi Spring is just a part of the Small World.”

”The Small World is formed by your condensation, and you are the master of that Small World.”

”You can do anything within your Small World, an ability that, transferred to the real world, can also be used.”

At this point, Elder Yi paused, giving Xiao Yi a moment, as he was deep in thought.

After a while, Xiao Yi came back to his senses, his face filled with realization.

”In my Small World, I can do as I wish, even manipulate the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy and bind everything; in the outside world, I can also manipulate the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy.”

”This is how a Mysterious Profundity Realm Warrior manipulates the Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy to bind enemies.”

”Correct,” Elder Yi said, ”depending on the strength of your Small World, your ability will be stronger, and in the outside world, you will become increasingly omnipotent.”

”However, I must remind you. The strength of the Small World is only related to the warrior’s own Cultivation Realm. The higher the cultivation, the stronger the Small World.”

”When you reach the Mystic Breakthrough Realm, you’ll even be able to create things out of nothing in your Small World. Of course, those are lifeless beings with no spiritual intelligence.”

”Like your Three Fire Puppet Ball, those three Half-step Cave Profound Fire Attribute puppets. They are created out of nothing by a First Grade Alchemist in the Mystic Breakthrough Realm and then bound within the Puppet Ball.”

”I understand,” Xiao Yi nodded.

”Good, I’ve said what needed to be said. Now there’s only one last point left, the cultivation issues of the Mysterious Profundity Realm.”

”After reaching the Mysterious Profundity Realm, cultivation is about absorbing Spiritual Energy, converting it to True Qi, until filling up your Qi Spring; one-tenth full, you reach Mysterious Profundity First Layer; nine-tenths full is the Mysterious Profundity Ninth Layer; completely full, and you can prepare for a breakthrough to the Mystic Breakthrough Realm.”

”Simultaneously, your Small World will also expand during your cultivation process; the higher the Cultivation Realm, the larger your Small World becomes, and your abilities will increase.”

Elder Yi concluded.

Xiao Yi, puzzled, said, ”If the Small World grows with cultivation, what about the Qi Spring?”

Elder Yi shook his head and said, ”Not possible. The Qi Spring is your foundation. When you break through, it remains as it was, a constant. Only the Small World has infinite possibilities.”

”The Qi Spring, always that size, always in the center of the Small World.”

”The Small World gradually expands based on cultivation.”

....

Unknowingly, half a day had passed while Elder Yi instructed Xiao Yi.

Xiao Yi understood everything he needed to know.

At that moment, Elder Yi stood up from his mat and said, ”Alright, I’ve said so much, your mind must be buzzing.”

Xiao Yi nodded, ”It is a bit muddled, but no big deal, just need to straighten it out a bit and soon it’ll be clear, fully accepted.”

”Mm,” Elder Yi nodded, then added, ”Let me tell you one final thing, and you will understand.”

”It’s said that the pinnacle of Martial Arts is the Martial God Realm.”

”The reason why Martial Gods stand above the rules of Heaven and Earth and control the world is because the Small World inside a Martial God is as big as the real world.”

”Martial Gods are thus omnipotent, even able to create real beings; in essence, there is nothing a Martial God cannot do.”

”Now do you understand?” Elder Yi gently prodded.

”It’s suddenly clear,” Xiao Yi smiled.

Saying that, Xiao Yi stood up, bowed deeply, and said, ”Thank you, Elder Yi for your instruction, I am extremely grateful.”

Elder Yi waved his hand and said, ”No rush, it’s only been half a day; there’s still half a day to go.”

”Oh?” Xiao Yi showed a puzzled expression.

”Idiot.” Elder Yi scolded sternly, ”Your Fire Control Beast Martial Soul is the lowest and most useless thing; when will you ever absorb enough Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy to achieve Breaking Core and Melt Veins.”

”Also, considering your situation, even if you manage to condense a Qi Spring and Small World, it won’t be very large.”

”But with your Fire Control Beast training speed, forget about reaching Mysterious Profundity First Layer in your lifetime, let alone filling up a Qi Spring.”

”There’s only one path for you, alchemy. In the next half day, I will teach you about refining.”

Saying that, Elder Yi gave Xiao Yi a stern look and said, ”I want to make it clear, boy, only now do you realize how formidable I am, and regret is useless.”

”I told you, I would only guide you for one day. How much you can learn from me depends on yourself.”

”If you can’t even reach the level of a First-grade Alchemist, you have only yourself to blame for not seizing the opportunity to ask me for guidance earlier.”
