Soul Emperor Martial God

Chapter 127: Chapter 126: Qi Spring

Listening to Elder Yi’s words, Xiao Yi subconsciously asked, ”Isn’t that so?”

The next second, he realized and was secretly astonished.

”May I know which elder of the Inner Sect you are?” Xiao Yi asked in surprise.

Elder Yi smiled faintly and said, ”Who told you I was an elder?”

Xiao Yi was at a loss for words.

He remembered that during the assessment a few days ago, people indeed referred only to him as Elder Yi, without mentioning Deacon or elder.

”I am neither a Deacon nor an elder,” Elder Yi said solemnly. ”I am merely the guardian of the Outer Sect, just an idle person.”

”Because I am an idle person, I don’t have to deal with the affairs of the Sword Sect or teach disciples, so I have time to give you some guidance.”

”Of course, as I said before, if you have questions, you can come to me. This is a little compensation the Sword Sect offers you, whether you choose to come or not.”

After saying that, Elder Yi didn’t say anything else and, as always, went back to reading at his desk.

Xiao Yi didn’t ask any further, bowed slightly, and said, ”Young one takes his leave.”

...

Ten days later, it was still in the back mountain of the Outer Sect.

Xiao Yi woke up from cultivation, a spark flashed in his eyes, ”My Cultivation has finally stabilized completely.”

He stood up, brushed the dust off himself, and muttered to himself, ”It’s time to make a trip out.”

Now that his Cultivation was stable, it was time to prepare for breaking through to the Mysterious Profundity Realm.

However, on how exactly to break through the Mysterious Profundity Realm, while he had some idea, he did not have full confidence.

The knowledge on the Mystic Realm Stele was more about the enlightenment of realms, not the detailed methods.

Breaking through the Mysterious Profundity Realm, known as Breaking Core, Meridian Melting, and Qi Condensation Spring, is a process of breaking and then establishing, though extremely difficult, it could bring about earth-shaking changes to a Martial Artist.

Of course, it is this difficulty that made him uncertain.

At this time, personal guidance from a Martial Artist with deep Cultivation would be the best method.

If not, he would have to go out and gain experience through countless battles, making his control in this realm of Cultivation as easy as moving his arms and clear as understanding his heart.

This way, when he really starts to break through, his chances would be greater.

Thus, Xiao Yi planned to go out and gain experience.

Joining the Sky-splitting Sword Sect didn’t mean he had to stay here forever.

Xiao Yi came here for a period of time, or in other words, he wanted an identity—the identity of a disciple of the Sky-splitting Sword Sect.

In the Sword Sect, if one could cultivate faster and increase strength quicker, that would be the best.

But since he couldn’t now, he could only rely on himself.

As for consulting Elder Yi, that thought had long vanished from his mind.

Though he hadn’t interacted much with Elder Yi, Elder Yi’s personality was too peculiar.

Silent and introverted, not a friendly person.

Furthermore, with no teacher-disciple relationship and not being related, seeking advice out of the blue would just incur obligations.

Even though Elder Yi might not care about his small favors.

But an obligation is still an obligation, and what he hated most was owing favors.

”Sigh.” Xiao Yi took a deep breath, left the back mountain, and headed towards the mountain gate.

The rules for Outer Disciples were relatively lax.

If disciples wanted to go out, they just needed to report to the Outer Sect Deacon’s Office at the mountain gate and explain the reason for going out briefly.

Soon, Xiao Yi arrived at the mountain gate.

Just as he was about to report to the Deacon, unexpectedly, a figure appeared out of nowhere.

Then, the figure looked at Xiao Yi with a face full of teasing.

”Elder Yi,” greeted the Deacon guarding the mountain gate, quickly bowing.

”Uh.” Xiao Yi was startled and also respectfully bowed, ”Elder Yi.”

”Young man, you want to go out and gain experience?” Elder Yi didn’t pay attention to the Deacon beside him but looked at Xiao Yi. Although he asked, his tone was quite affirmative.

”You are very arrogant, and very proud.”

Elder Yi said and walked straight up to Xiao Yi.

”Elder Yi exaggerates,” Xiao Yi said, cupping his hands.

”Why didn’t you come to me?” Elder Yi asked solemnly.

Xiao Yi replied, ”Didn’t Elder Yi say it was up to me whether to come or not?”

”Hmph,” Elder Yi snorted coldly, ”young man, you do remember my words very clearly.”

”Do you also remember that I said I’m an idle person?”

”This...” Xiao Yi was taken aback, clearly feeling Elder Yi’s anger. This kind of temperamental old man was indeed hard to predict.

Elder Yi interrupted coldly, ”I am an idle person, so I have plenty of time to spend with you. If you don’t come, I insist you must.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Elder Yi waved his hand mightily, and a surge of Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energy directly bound Xiao Yi.

The next second, Elder Yi’s figure flashed and disappeared on the spot.

Along with him, Xiao Yi also vanished without a trace.

The two Deacons guarding the mountain gate looked dumbfounded and after a moment, could only helplessly shake their heads.

...

In the back mountain, the place where Xiao Yi usually practiced Cultivation.

Elder Yi and Xiao Yi appeared at the same time.

After steadying himself, Xiao Yi frowned and asked, ”May I know what brings Elder Yi here?”

”Hmph,” Elder Yi coldly said, ”Boy, I have said that I, representing the Sword Sect, owe you some compensation. Whether you want it or not, you must accept it.”

”I...” Xiao Yi tried to say something.

”Shut up,” Elder Yi interrupted, ”Regarding your breakthrough to the Mysterious Profundity Realm, I will guide you for one day. After one day, we are even. Whether you want to go on an experience or not is up to you, I will not bother stopping you.”

”One day?” Xiao Yi nodded. Although he was not fond of Elder Yi’s eccentric and overbearing way, he thought that since it was just one day, it didn’t matter.

It wouldn’t be too late to go on to gain experience after one day.

It was like respecting the elderly, following his wishes for one day.

Besides, one could not learn much in one day, and it wouldn’t oblige him with any favors.

”Thank you, Elder Yi, for your guidance,” Xiao Yi muttered to himself, still politely speaking.

”Hmm,” Elder Yi’s anger faded, returning to his usual unflappable expression.

”Watch carefully.”

Saying so, Elder Yi waved his hand grandly, and countless Heaven and Earth Spiritual Energies surged and automatically formed a light screen.

In the light screen, the Spiritual Energies automatically arranged themselves to simulate the limbs, the Dantian, and meridians of a Martial Artist.

In the image, True Qi moved around vivaciously, extremely marvelous.

”Watch closely,” Elder Yi stretched out his hand and pointed in the air at the light screen, ”That is the Martial Artist’s Qi Pill and the nine True Veins, observe their changes closely.”

”First is Breaking Core, then Meridian Melting, and finally Qi Condensation Spring; you must not err in the steps.”

”Okay,” Xiao Yi nodded, his eyes fixed on the projection image.

Initially, he did not care much for Elder Yi’s guidance, but now, this projection image completely changed his mind.

Compared to detailed explanations in the scriptures and even the teachings of more advanced Martial Artists; this direct display of the projection image undoubtedly had a greater effect.

He didn’t even need to understand deeply, just following the steps and changes shown in this projection image would suffice.

Imitating the gourd drawing, was naturally the most direct and easiest.

”Elder Yi continued, ”Breaking Core, Meridian Melting, and Qi Condensation Spring all require pure power. The necessary power depends on the condition of the Martial Artist himself.”

”The stronger the Qi Pill, the harder it is to break; the stronger the True Veins, the harder they are to melt; the more power is needed.”

As Elder Yi’s voice fell, the image on the light screen changed again.

The Qi Pill began to break open, and the nine True Veins began to melt.

”The Qi Pill, originally a Martial Artist’s Dantian, nurtured by True Qi; obtained when breaking through from the Mortal Realm to the Postnatal Realm.”

”True Veins come from the main veins.”

”The main veins, originally the nine meridians blocked at birth in the human body; refined by Martial Artists for smoother flow of True Qi. Their sole purpose is to store True Qi and allow its flow.”

”Therefore, even if the Qi Pill and the nine True Veins are both broken and melted, it will not have any impact on the body; you can proceed with peace of mind.”

Unknowingly, Elder Yi seemed like a profoundly knowledgeable teacher, patiently instructing.

”Breaking Core and Meridian Melting need a process and time, which I will not elaborate on now; you just need to know how to do it. The next step, Qi Condensation Spring.”

As he spoke, Elder Yi waved his hand grandly.

The picture in the projection changed again, and the light screen suddenly became extremely large.

The Qi Pill and the nine True Veins completely melted and converged in an incredibly mysterious way into something indescribable.

Look closer, it resembled an abandoned space, with a dried-up spring in the center.

The spring precisely ten zhang long, ten zhang wide, and ten zhang high.

And the entire space, precisely twenty zhang long, twenty zhang wide, and twenty zhang high, twice the size of the spring.

”That space, you may consider it as a Small World; that dried-up spring, is the Qi Spring.”

”These two, are what the Qi Pill and the nine True Veins have transformed into.”

”You might wonder, how a tiny Qi Pill and True Veins inside the body could possibly illusion such a vast space.”

”You can think of it like a Qiankun Bag; that small bag, yet contains huge space inside. You should know, the Qiankun Bag itself was created by Human Martial Artists; Cultivation soaring to heavenly heights, can even manipulate the Space Sword Dao.”

”You...”

Elder Yi explained in detail, but noticed Xiao Yi frowning, thinking he did not understand, a trace of displeasure flashed across his face.

”If you don’t understand this...”

”Mustard Seed contains Mount Sumeru; every flower a world. Qi Pill as the base, True Veins as the material,” Xiao Yi spoke solemnly.

In fact, it was not that he did not understand. Instead, he was utterly shocked and captivated by the changes on the light screen.

He suddenly understood why the Mysterious Profundity Realm was the most important watershed in Martial Arts cultivation.

He even realized more why there were transformative changes after breaking through to the Mysterious Profundity Realm.

He even slightly understood why those legendary Supreme Strong Martial Artists had powers to turn mountains and seas, shatter the void, and roam the heavens and earth at will.

Today, Elder Yi’s teachings had opened up a new world, a new door for him.

He started to understand, the world of Martial Arts was far more complex than he had imagined.

At this moment, upon hearing Xiao Yi’s words, Elder Yi was stunned, then revealed an extremely satisfied smile.

”The Mustard Seed contains Mount Sumeru; every flower a world. Qi Pill as the base, True Veins as the material.”

”Good, your understanding is even more profound.”

”A small grain of sand, a little flower, both can contain a world; let alone the Dantian and True Veins inside a Martial Artist.”

Elder Yi finished speaking, then continued, ”The Qi Spring will serve as the place to store True Qi in the future.”
