Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Chapter 1675: Chapter 387: Chen Jiusi’s Plan to Rescue Liu Futong (Part 2)

At this moment, Chou Niu’s face was as dark as water. He stared at the people fighting below, his eyes filled with ferocity.

Right then, he saw Xiao Niu swinging the big saber in his hand. That saber was the only relic his father had left him. Back then, his father had taken this saber onto the battlefield; today, he too wanted to use this saber to earn merit on the battlefield.

With that thought, Xiao Niu raised the big saber and charged at the enemy. The enemy was a burly soldier of the Grey Wolf Army. Seeing a little kid swinging a big saber rushing toward him, he was first incredulous, then full of mockery, and charged straight at Xiao Niu.

Xiao Niu was not afraid at all, carrying the aura of a calf unafraid of tigers. He swung the big saber down, but that burly Grey Wolf Army soldier dodged easily, then brought his own blade down in a chop aimed right at the back of Xiao Niu’s neck. This strike could clearly chop Xiao Niu’s head right off.

Xiao Niu was startled and immediately leapt up, barely dodging the blow.

Seeing this, Chou Niu’s whole body went rigid, his eyes bulging, staring without blinking. Only when he saw Xiao Niu dodge that strike did he finally let out a breath.

But before he could even catch that breath, he saw Xiao Niu shoved to the ground by that burly man, who then raised his blade, ready to hack down at Xiao Niu.

”No!”

Chou Niu roared, but fortunately a Chou Niu Hall Disciple at the side rushed over, shoved the burly man away, and swung his blade to kill that Grey Wolf Army soldier.

”Xiao Niu, are you alright?”

”I’m fine, thank you, Uncle Tian.”

This Chou Niu Hall Disciple surnamed Tian was only in his thirties, but in this era, being called ”uncle” at that age was completely normal.

At this time, Uncle Tian said, ”You’re so young, you shouldn’t be on the battlefield.”

Xiao Niu said, ”My dad said the life and death of the Holy Sect concerns the whole world. Every Holy Sect Disciple must be ready to live and die for the Holy Sect. Today, with the Holy Sect on the brink of life and death, how could I just sit in the rear and watch my uncles and elders fight for their lives while I remain indifferent?”

”I can do it.”

Xiao Niu got up again, wanting to grab the big saber stuck in the ground, but Uncle Tian stopped him.

”You’re too small, you can’t handle such a heavy weapon. Just use this waist knife. Don’t think about killing the enemy—worry about keeping yourself alive first.”

With that, Uncle Tian also rushed out.

Seeing this, Xiao Niu waved the waist knife in his hand and stumbled his way into the crowd. He brushed with death several times. Watching all this, Chou Niu couldn’t take it anymore. He looked at Chen Jie and said, ”I’m going down to save him. Even if you let the Brain Worm eat my brain, I’m still going down. I have to go!”

Chen Jie looked at Chou Niu, who was glaring at him with wide eyes, and asked a question that was like a blade to the heart.

”I don’t recall ever stopping you or forbidding you to go, do I?”

”Huh?”

Chou Niu froze. Right, he hadn’t actually said he was going to restrict his movements. Thinking of this, Chou Niu clasped his fists and said, ”Then my thanks. If I die on the battlefield, there’s nothing more to say. If I survive, I’ll come find you.”

Hearing this, Chen Jie glanced at Chou Niu and said, ”Alright, I’ll be waiting for you.”

The two exchanged a look and wordlessly made an agreement. Then Chou Niu simply leapt off the cliff.

Once free of the cliff’s restraints, Chou Niu’s strength as a Middle Melting Furnace Realm expert erupted. He plummeted from the air at high speed, and just as he was about to hit the ground, he smashed both fists into the earth. A powerful wave of Gang Qi blasted out in an instant, surging straight toward the Grey Wolf Army.

With a thunderous boom, countless soldiers of the Grey Wolf Army were blasted flying. At the same time, Chou Niu used the rebound force to spring directly into the middle of the battlefield. He reached out, grabbed the big saber that Xiao Niu had stuck into the ground, and with a single slash split a Grey Wolf Army soldier lunging at Xiao Niu cleanly in two.

At that moment Xiao Niu whirled around and saw his own Hall Master standing there, gripping his father’s big saber, imposing as a god of war, as if he alone could block a thousand troops.

”Uncle Niu!”

Xiao Niu shouted Chou Niu’s title. Chou Niu turned his head, glanced at Xiao Niu, and said, ”You alright?”

”I’m fine, Uncle Niu.”

Xiao Niu said to Chou Niu. Hearing this, Chou Niu smiled and said, ”Hide behind me and watch closely. This is how you use a blade.”

As he finished speaking, Chou Niu suddenly swung his saber. A row of Sword Gang blasted out at once, and the powerful Sword Gang directly hacked the surrounding Grey Wolf Army soldiers to death.

Seeing this, Xiao Niu’s eyes went wide, filled with pure worship.

On the court’s side, they suddenly saw a Molten Furnace Realm expert appear in the battlefield and their brows furrowed slightly. The enemy was deploying a Molten Furnace Realm expert this early?

As he thought this, Tuotuo raised his hand, and a Molten Furnace Realm expert from the court’s side immediately entered the battle.

In an instant, a great clash was about to erupt.

On the Zoroastrian Sect’s side, Mr. Guan was also shocked to see Chou Niu descend from the sky. What was going on? Hadn’t Chou Niu entered the Ruins? How could he possibly appear here?

This—this made no sense!

Mr. Guan was utterly baffled, but Chou Niu was already killing like a madman in the center of the battlefield. At this moment he had no way to ask, and could only look up toward the place where Chou Niu had just appeared.

Following the cliff face with his eyes, he actually didn’t see anything different about it, nor did he see any cave on the cliff. It was as if it didn’t exist at all.

He had no idea what principle the Ruins used that made the cave entrance invisible from the outside. It was downright uncanny.

Meanwhile, inside the Returning Ruins Cave Entrance, Chen Jie looked at the people beside him and said, ”The fighting down there is pretty brutal. Anyone want to go down and help? I absolutely won’t stop you.”

After Chen Jie said this, Chen Long, Mei Tu, and Monkey all stayed put. Charging down now would be nothing but cannon fodder. They were not as foolish as Chou Niu.
