Chapter 1659: Chapter 83: Li Siqi: Ruyang King, Did You Hear You’re Going to Be Chen 94’s Father-in-law? (Part 2)

Exactly, this man is the most powerful military leader of the entire Daqian Empire, the leader of the Treasure Elephant Army, and ranked fourth on the Heavenly List, Boluo Timur.

This time he brought five thousand elephant soldiers to aid in the battle.

Next to him stood another man, almost as tall and burly, wearing a white armor that wasn’t particularly bright but rather an off-white, giving an impression of elegance. This armor was crafted using the traditional Ming Guang Armor technique, with scales interwoven, each piece riveted to the next—sturdy and aesthetically pleasing.

To highlight the preciousness of the armor and facilitate the conduction of Gang Qi, the lining of this armor was entirely woven with gold threads.

The commander’s head was crowned with a helmet, the outer edge adorned with a beautiful white deer fur neck guard. Dressed in this armor, the commander bore a striking resemblance to Zhao Zilong on the battlefield.

And this was the commander of the White Deer Army, commanding a vast stretch of land in Jiangnan, the Ruyang King of the eighty-one prefectures, tenth on the Heavenly List, Chaghan Timur.

Chaghan Timur was actually quite handsome, just often overlooked. If he were particularly ugly, how could he have a beautiful daughter like the Commandery Princess!

This time, Chaghan Timur brought twenty thousand White Deer Army troops.

Beside Chaghan Timur stood King Qi, Li Siqi, with a defiant expression.

Li Siqi was also clad in military attire today, wearing dark blue armor. The armor structure was a blend of lock armor and fish scale armor, streamlined.

The chest armor bore diamond patterns, with high shoulder guards carved in the shape of a grey wolf, symbolizing his position as the commander of the Grey Wolf Army.

A long knife hung at his waist, his cold gaze fixed on the Bright Peak ahead, filled with anticipation.

Who most wanted to uproot the strength of this Bright Peak? Some say it was the court, but in reality, it was King Qi, Li Siqi.

Because the position of Bright Peak, located in Kunlun Mountain in the Northwest, blocked Li Siqi’s ambition to expand his territory. For years, he had desperately wanted to uproot it, yet the strength of Bright Peak had always held him back.

Even at its height, the court did not dare to recklessly confront Bright Peak.

Han Shantong, Liu Futong, Peng Yingyu, Fang Guozhen, and numerous Dharma Kings and elders stood united. Back then, not to mention the mere King Qi, Li Siqi, even the court dealt with them with the utmost caution.

Unfortunately, that was in the past. Now, Bright Peak was barely left with Liu Futong, a few insignificant figures, with little resistance. This battle was his chance to remove the first thorn in his quest to unify the Northwest. He devoted great effort to this endeavor.

The Treasure Elephant Army sent five thousand men, the White Deer Army sent twenty thousand, and he himself brought a whole forty thousand troops. He couldn’t sleep or eat peacefully without removing the Bright Peak.

Why not take this opportunity to remove this thorn in his side, this splinter in his flesh, and secure a vast strategic rear for himself?

Surrounded by the three commanders was the true leader of this assault on Bright Peak, the Prime Minister Tuotuo, the one truly above all in the Daqian Empire except for one.

Tuotuo looked at the three army commanders beside him and said, ”This attack on Bright Peak is of great significance, you must give it your utmost effort.”

Upon hearing this, the three commanders smiled and said, ”Rest assured, Prime Minister, we will do our utmost.”

Tuotuo nodded slightly, and at this moment, Li Siqi, always at odds with the Ruyang King, spoke up, ”Besides, attacking the mountain requires some preparation time, so let’s talk about something else. I heard, Chaghan, your daughter was kidnapped by bandits?”

Once these words were said, everyone’s expressions changed, especially the Ruyang King’s unpleasant face, ”What’s it to you?”

Li Siqi, unafraid of stirring trouble, said, ”Heh, Chaghan, we are brothers who have gone through life and death together.”

”Once!”

The Ruyang King emphasized.

Li Siqi laughed, ”Yes, yes, once, but our adult conflicts have nothing to do with the children. I’m just concerned about my little niece.”

The Ruyang King shot a glance at Li Siqi and said, ”With the enemy before us, there’s no time for such trivial matters.”

”Ah, Chaghan, your words are not right. Your daughter is the Empress’s candidate designated by His Majesty. A country’s Empress being kidnapped by bandits? Chaghan, you should provide an explanation to His Majesty.”

At this moment, Boluo Timur, the always silent commander of the Treasure Elephant Army, spoke.

Upon hearing this, the Ruyang King frowned deeply, ”What needed to be said, I’ve already reported to the court. Those bandits are indeed very powerful. By the time I received the news and went to eliminate them, Yaya was already missing.”

”Moreover, she might not be intact after being taken by the bandits. Therefore, I submitted to the Emperor, requesting the removal of Yaya’s title, and if she is found in the future, let her fend for herself.”

After saying this, Li Siqi laughed, ”Being kidnapped by bandits isn’t my little niece’s fault, right? Chaghan, your report doesn’t seem like a punishment for the Princess Xiangning; it seems more like helping her shake off some shackle. Is there something going on here?”

”What’s there to it?”

The Ruyang King shouted angrily. Li Siqi said, ”Heh, what is there, we certainly don’t know. But I just can’t believe what bandit had the courage to rob a court carriage, especially on your Ruyang King’s territory, and even killed a Qincha Eight Guard. The whole thing reeks of weirdness!”

”What’s so surprising? Who knows what gave the bandits such courage to commit this audacious act?”
