Chapter 1662: Chapter 384: The Army Attacks the Mountain, the Dragon King Arrives!

This mission by Tuotuo was prepared for a dual strategy. One direction involves the court’s three armies—Treasure Elephant, White Deer, and Grey Wolf—directly attacking the Zoroastrian Sect, engaging them head-on. The objective is clear: targeting the high-ranking members and the main force of the Zoroastrian Sect’s Five Elements Flag.

The second strategy involves the Six Great Sects. They will take a small path from the rear mountain of the Zoroastrian Sect to encircle and ascend directly towards Bright Peak, aiming to capture the Zoroastrian Sect’s Sect Hierarch, Little Ming King, who is stationed at the peak.

This is the combination of two strategies: first, luring the enemy away from their base, and second, capturing the leader to capture the gang!

It can be said that this plan is extremely malicious. If Tuotuo’s strategy succeeds, the morale of the whole Zoroastrian Sect will be shattered.

Whether or not the sect internally acknowledges Little Ming King’s identity is irrelevant, but it’s crucial to remember that Little Ming King is the son of Han Shantong, with a legitimate lineage. Even if the sect does not recognize Little Ming King, the people of the world do.

No matter what happens, even if Bright Peak is not conquered, capturing Little Ming King would mean the battle is half-won.

The unified spirit forged by Han Shantong will dissolve.

This is the crucial strategic objective of Tuotuo’s mission.

While thinking this, Tuotuo saw that after the Six Great Sects departed, an official hastened over and said to Tuotuo, ”Lord Prime Minister, only sending the Six Great Sects seems a bit uncertain. Shouldn’t we send two experts along?”

Tuotuo shook his head and said, ”No, the Six Great Sects are enough. Experts cannot be moved. Our forces are not completely unknown to the opponent. Once we deploy experts, the opponent will immediately react. On the contrary, these irrelevant Six Great Sects won’t cause much ripple because everyone knows they are just padding the numbers this time.”

Indeed, the Six Great Sects are indeed just padding the numbers this time. Both the court and the Zoroastrian Sect know this.

In this attack, the Six Great Sects only brought some sect leaders of the Molten Furnace Upper Realm, without involving their core members, those legendary experts of the Melt God Realm.

For instance, Gu Hongzi from the Emei Sect, Master from Tang Sect, Mr. Tie Jian from Kunlun, Master Kudu from Shaolin, Senior Feng from the Five Mountains Sword Alliance, and the living legend of Wudang, Zhang Sanfeng.

It’s no joke to say that if Zhang Sanfeng were to intervene, Bright Peak would relocate overnight. Any hesitation would be disrespecting this Earthly Immortal.

Thus, from beginning to end, neither side took the Six Great Sects seriously, so it doesn’t matter where they appear on the battlefield.

Tuotuo thought, then heard the sound of drums booming in the Central Army. The next moment, a clear cow horn was blown.

The melodious cow horn sound resonated, instantly shaking the entire space.

Woo woo woo...

Upon hearing this cow horn, the court’s three armies began to organize, and the scene below Bright Peak became one of strategic coordination as the three armies each displayed their divine skills.

The Grey Wolf Army, exuding a chilling air, rapidly gathered, with the entire army clad in leather armor, wielding long knives and shields, showcasing their elite status.

The Strike Commander of the Grey Wolf Army, King Qi Li Siqi, led the charge on horseback, drawing his long knife and pointing forward: ”Form ranks, attack!”

”Attack!”

The entire army shouted as one, ”Attack!”

The army then advanced rapidly, pressing forward like a surging flood.

They converged into a blue sea, creating a terrifying atmosphere of death.

On the other side, the White Deer Army assembled, with soldiers also armored, wielding long spears, and forming an orderly military formation.

The Commander of the White Deer Army, Ruyang King, Chaghan Timur, raised his long-handled saber and waved: ”Advance.”

The entire army immediately pressed forward.

Thump thump thump!

A series of drumbeats sounded, and at this moment, the White Deer Army and Grey Wolf Army immediately split apart, revealing the space in the middle, where several gigantic beings slowly moved forward.

Everyone looked and saw five giant elephants, armored, advancing like gods. Each elephant bore a seat, and on top sat the four commanders of the Treasure Elephant Army, the foremost being the lead commander, Boluo Timur.

Below the Treasure Elephant Army were elite soldiers selected from across the nation, each broad-shouldered and burly. These warriors wore not heavy armor but half-armor, only covering vital areas.

They wielded two heavy maces, resembling elephant tusks.

This is the standard equipment of Treasure Elephant Army soldiers, known as the Mother-child Mace, one longer and one shorter, the longer one weighing twenty-eight jin and the shorter eighteen jin.

The long mace is for attacking, while the short one is for defense.

One might question, isn’t twenty-eight jin too light? Such a thought would be a grave mistake. These maces are battlefield weapons needing to be wielded for potentially one to two hours. If they were too heavy, no one could endure it.

Except for top-level military generals, but how many such generals exist?

Thus, twenty-eight jin is already not light. Typically, a soldier’s knife weighs only seven to eight jin, sometimes just three to five jin.

Similarly, a spear with a waxwood shaft and an iron spearhead weighs about eight to nine jin, distributed along its length. Battlefield weapons aren’t overly heavy.

If too heavy, they cannot be wielded effectively.

These Treasure Elephant Army warriors can wield maces weighing over thirty jin to kill enemies, making them standouts in Jianghu.

Their bodies clad in half-armor, military boots on their feet, and wielding Mother-child Maces, they advanced alongside the elephants.

Throughout the process, they coordinated perfectly with the elephants. If Chen Jie were to see this, he might suspect this to be the earliest form of infantry-armor cooperation in Huaxia!
