Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Chapter 892: Chapter 232: Damn, Summer God’s Anger

Whoosh!

A Cloud Piercing Arrow shot up into the sky. At this moment, Wang Baobao, waiting five miles away, saw the signal and immediately ordered, ”Charge!”

With the command given, Wang Baobao led two thousand Black Cavalry straight to the Woniugang Mountain Road.

It turned out that earlier today when Zhao Ya returned to the Darugachi Mansion seeking aid, she had found Wang Baobao. Initially, Wang Baobao intended to bring two thousand Iron Cavalry to assist Zhao Ya in capturing these rebels.

However, Zhao Ya refused, for two reasons. First, Zhao Ya wasn’t certain if they would gain anything from this trip to Woniugang Mountain Road. If not, mobilizing two thousand Black Cavalry would be a waste, causing unnecessary commotion.

Secondly, the movement of two thousand Black Cavalry would be too conspicuous, unsuitable for a hidden ambush as it might alert the enemy.

Therefore, she didn’t want Wang Baobao to come, and only requested He Yishou from the Xuanbing Second Elder.

Nevertheless, Wang Baobao, being a typical protective brother, felt uneasy about Zhao Ya attempting to capture bandits at Woniugang Mountain Road alone. He feared hurting Yaya’s pride by making a big fuss for her.

So he had He Yishou bring the Cloud Piercing Arrow.

Now, seeing Zhao Ya about to capture Wulu Tai, He Yishou directly released the Cloud Piercing Arrow.

Watching the Cloud Piercing Arrow soar, Zhao Ya turned to He Yishou and said, ”Master He, what are you doing?”

He Yishou replied, ”Hehe, so much grain shouldn’t go to waste on the mountain road. Luckily, the Young Prince is training nearby and can come to receive this grain. It would serve as a reserve for the nation.”

Zhao Ya was silent upon hearing this but after a moment said, ”Master He, you’ve conspired with my third brother, haven’t you?”

He Yishou did not respond, while Zhao Ya then said, ”Jiu Si, come with me. Ah Da, you three wait here for my third brother to arrive.”

”Yes!”

The three, Ah Da and his companions, acknowledged with a clasp of their fists. Zhao Ya then mounted her horse and, alongside Chen Jiusi, headed directly towards the city. He Yishou also found a horse to ride on, following closely behind.

Thus, they headed straight towards Huangzhou Prefecture.

On the way, they encountered Wang Baobao rushing over.

”Whoa~”

Wang Baobao reined in his horse, looked at Zhao Ya, and said, ”Yaya, where are you going?”

Zhao Ya did not respond, but Chen Jie said, ”Lord Darugachi, the Commandery Princess discovered a group secretly selling grain to the Zoroastrian Sect. With Master He’s assistance in interrogation, they finally uncovered that the mastermind behind this grain sale to the Zoroastrian Sect is the city’s Assistant Magistrate, Wulu Tai.”

”We are currently preparing to go into the city and capture Wulu Tai!”

Chen Jie answered.

Upon hearing this, Wang Baobao frowned and said, ”Wulu Tai?”

Zhao Ya said, ”Enough, time is almost up. If we’re late, Wulu Tai might escape.”

Wang Baobao also realized and said, ”Hmm, Yaya, capturing people with just the two of you won’t work. Huo Bima.”

Responding to Wang Baobao’s call, an officer emerged from his two thousand Iron Cavalry. He had a wide stature, robust and powerful, truly commanding presence.

This man was named Huo Bima, the foremost general under Wang Baobao’s command, currently serving as the Commander of the thousands under Wang Baobao.

Wang Baobao said, ”Huo Bima, take five hundred cavalry and follow the Commandery Princess, listening to her commands. Understood?”

Huo Bima clasped his fist and said, ”Yes, I will obey.”

Wang Baobao then looked at Zhao Ya and said, ”Yaya, for a raid and capture, two people aren’t enough. Huo Bima is my top general, formidable and excellent in commanding troops. Let him take five hundred cavalry with you. Even the Wolf Smoke Realm wouldn’t dare confront you then.”

Hearing this, Zhao Ya said, ”Alright, Third Brother, I’ll take the men with me. By the way, there are numerous grain carts on the mountain road; go receive them. This Wulu Tai is truly despicable, being a Mulan High Official yet selling grain to rebels for personal gain. It’s intolerable!”

Wang Baobao said, ”Indeed, this person is truly vile. Yaya, go ahead and capture him.”

Zhao Ya said, ”Then we shall leave first, giddy up, giddy up, giddy up...”

Watching Zhao Ya leave, Chen Jie clasped his fist towards Wang Baobao, and Wang Baobao nodded slightly in acknowledgment.

Then Chen Jie followed Zhao Ya directly to Huangzhou City, and at this moment Huo Bima shouted, ”First Camp Cavalry, follow me, giddy up, giddy up, giddy up...”

Saying this, Huo Bima also caught up with Zhao Ya.

Thus the group rushed into Huangzhou Prefecture, heading straight for South City. As the forces entered the city, the sound of hoofbeats reverberated through the ground, causing panic throughout Huangzhou Prefecture, making everyone tremble with fear.

The common people cowered behind their windows, watching as five hundred cavalry directly surrounded the Assistant Magistrate Mansion.

At this moment, the guard soldiers of the Assistant Magistrate Mansion also saw the cavalry surrounding their government headquarters and were immediately terrified, shouting, ”Who are you? What do you want?”

Smack, smack!

Their response was two heavy lashes of the horse whip.

At this moment, Huo Bima coldly said, ”You blind dogs, does the Black Cavalry need to explain their actions to you? Quickly open the gate and let Wulu Tai roll out!”

Huo Bima, under Darugachi’s command, a Standard Sixth Rank Hundred Households Commander, although his rank wasn’t as high as Wulu Tai’s Secondary Fifth Rank Assistant Magistrate, was the trusted aide of Wang Baobao, the Young Prince of the Runan Royal Mansion.

In other words, Huo Bima was essentially the trusted aide of the Ruyang Royal Mansion.

Before the Prime Minister, even a seventh-rank official guards the gate.

It’s said that even gatekeepers for the Prime Minister’s Mansion are equivalent to seventh-rank officials, let alone the trusted aides of the royal mansion who command a thousand cavalry on their own; they’re accustomed to being audacious.

Huo Bima’s two lashes left the guards of the Assistant Magistrate Mansion with blood streaming down their faces.

Yet they dared not say more. At this moment, Huo Bima said, ”Open the gate.”

The guards of the Assistant Magistrate Mansion had no choice but to comply and open the mansion gate.

Zhao Ya directly led Chen Jie into the mansion, while He Yishou had long hidden in the shadows, escorting them securely.
