Chapter 863: Chapter 227 Yelu’s Death_2

Yelu heard this and said: ”Haha, what do I fear? You just focus on preparing the fish thoroughly.”

”Don’t worry about the other trifles.”

Hearing this, Wu the Swift Blade said: ”In that case, Lord, I would still need you to prepare a few things for me.”

Yelu looked at him and said: ”What do you need?”

”Ice platform, silver plate, ivory chopsticks!”

Yelu said: ”They are already prepared.”

Wu the Swift Blade said: ”That’s good, then I can prepare the sashimi for you at any time.”

Yelu gently nodded and said: ”You start preparing. The banquet will begin in an hour.”

Hearing these words, Wu the Swift Blade said: ”Yes.”

Then he pulled his apprentice to start preparing. Yelu walked out of the kitchen, at this moment Ahetai wished to speak but hesitated. According to his current position, he should help Lord Yelu eliminate all dangers, so he should say something at this moment.

Back when Qimu Ge was alive, it was so.

Since he replaced Qimu Ge’s position, he had to say what Qimu Ge would say.

At this moment, Ahetai said: ”Master, this river puffer fish is dangerous, and that Wu the Swift Blade is of unknown origin. I’m afraid someone will take the opportunity to harm you.”

Hearing this, Yelu glanced at Ahetai and said: ”Ahetai.”

”This servant is here.”

Ahetai bowed, Yelu said: ”You are becoming more and more like Qimu Ge.”

Ahetai quickly said: ”This servant is still lacking compared to Lord Qimu Ge, but rest assured, Master, I will surely catch up with Lord Qimu Ge, and my loyalty definitely will not lose to his.”

Yelu heard this and chuckled: ”Good, very good.”

”Although you are not as good as Qimu Ge, I can see your loyalty. You’re right, this Dragon Pattern River Puffer Fish is indeed highly poisonous, capable of killing even the strongest of the Wolf Smoke Realm, but such a delicacy cannot be wasted.”

”Of course, I also won’t foolishly eat it outright, go find some Han people slaves.”

”What does the Lord mean?”

Yelu said: ”Test for poison!”

”Yes, this servant will go at once.”

Indeed, do you think Yelu is a fool? To put something highly poisonous in his mouth without testing it first is impossible. Even for a delicacy like the Dragon Pattern River Puffer Fish, he would never risk it without prior testing.

Find a few lowly Han people slaves, having them test for poison first. If it doesn’t kill them, then he can eat it with peace of mind.

This is Yelu’s plan.

You might say, if he’s afraid of dying, why eat it at all?

Yelu claims, impossible. Such a delicacy, yearned for and unattainable for so many years, to be asked to give it up, dreaming is impossible.

You could also say, obviously, this is very dangerous.

Then you don’t understand human nature. Human beings, having evolved to this point, although they fear danger, they never heed advice and give up on things that bring them joy.

For example, people clearly know that smoking, drinking, and staying up late are harmful to health, but do you see any young person engaging in those habits less?

So there is a type of people who just don’t listen to advice.

Yelu is exactly this type, the Dragon Pattern River Puffer Fish is highly poisonous, yes, highly poisonous, but it’s because of this poison, that it’s so delicious!

This is Yelu’s logic.

Watching Yelu leave, a cold smile appeared on Wu the Swift Blade’s face: ”Good advice is hard to take by those doomed to die!”

Meanwhile, his apprentice looked at him and said: ”Master, aren’t we going to? Why advise him?”

The apprentice made a gesture of killing.

The master looked at the apprentice and said: ”I don’t know, our benefactor told us to do this.”

Hearing this, the apprentice fell silent.

The master said: ”Alright, prepare, it’s about to begin. Just in time, I’ll teach you how to prepare this Dragon Pattern River Puffer Fish today.”

The apprentice said: ”Yes.”

...

The preparation time of an hour passed, and outside, Yelu arrived at the long-awaited banquet.

”Greetings, Lord Yelu.”

All the people respectfully saluted Yelu, he waved his hand and said: ”You’ve all waited long, I was entangled with trivial matters, just went to see off Chen Jiusi heading north.”

Upon hearing this, everyone present had a sudden jolt in their hearts. What did mentioning Chen Jiusi at this time mean, could it be alluding to us?

Thinking this way, everyone kept their expressions calm, but Zhou Peng spoke up: ”Lord, why did you see off that white-eyed wolf!”

Hearing this, Yelu slightly curled the corner of his mouth and said: ”Sigh, how can you talk like that, what white-eyed wolf, it’s too harsh, we shouldn’t call Guild Leader Chen that.”

Zhou Peng said: ”Lord Yelu, even if you are going to criticize me today, I still have to say, what is that Chen Jiusi, he’s just a white-eyed wolf. If it weren’t for you helping him back then, how could he have had the chance to rival Nan Batian. Now his wings are hardened, he dares to disrespect Lord Yelu. In my view, he’s just a white-eyed wolf.”

”His Fishing Guild too, with their wolfish ambition, they’re not good people.”

Zhou Peng cursed, he was actually serving as Yelu’s mouthpiece, taking the opportunity to express Yelu’s opinions. How could the seated people not understand the hidden meaning in these words, this was beating around the bush.

But Yelu frowned at this moment and said: ”Zhou Peng, shut up. The man has left, how can you talk about him behind his back.”

Hearing this, everyone was taken aback, then Tang Wannian spoke up: ”Lord Yelu, that Chen Jiusi is a white-eyed wolf, what harm is there in Guild Leader Zhou talking about him a bit. Plus, his Fishing Guild now also disobeys your orders, I think you should take decisive action to punish them.”

”Right, what is that Fishing Guild, to dare disrespect the lord. I think the lord should take strong action and eradicate them!”

”Yes, eradicate the Fishing Guild!”

”I agree.”

”I agree too!”

Everyone became vigorously enthusiastic, all shouting to eradicate the Fishing Guild, as Chen Jiusi had already left Mianshui County, out of sight, out of mind.

Moreover, his relationship with the local officials was so bad, there was certainly no need to keep the force he left behind. Now is indeed the time to pick a side, if you pick the wrong side, the consequences would be unthinkable.
