Ning An's Wild Wish System

Chapter 48: Chapter 43: Warning! Your Metaphysics Is Not Authorized, Application Rejected

Elder An’s stern words suddenly left the live stream audience baffled.

”Huh? What’s going on? Ancestor’s revelation... can it be explained scientifically?”

”No idea, but seeing Elder An’s disappointed look, it might really be related to physics knowledge?”

”I’ve started frantically contacting my high school classmates; with just nine years of compulsory education, I kind of regret only studying for nine years.”

The middle-aged physics teacher was silent for a long time, tears quietly streaming down.

Meanwhile, Elder An in the wheelchair began hoarsely urging.

”What? Are the ones cultivating future talents for our Dragon Country all like you, unlearned and ignorant?”

”Elder An, I’m sorry, I just wanted a glimmer of hope...”

The middle-aged physics teacher’s voice was choked with sobs, then he turned his head towards Ning An.

”Little Daoist, say something.”

Ning An smiled bitterly:

”Teacher, don’t look at me, having a Daoist explain this, it certainly wouldn’t be scientific.”

”See, even the Little Daoist says this isn’t science.”

”Heh, I guess you not only skipped nine years of compulsory education but also flunked language class, huh?”

”Exactly, it’s determined by the Little Daoist’s professional attributes. Wouldn’t it be absurd for a Daoist to explain science to you?”

The bullet comments almost ignited hope again, while the middle-aged physics teacher took a deep breath and pulled out some sheets of draft paper from his backpack.

”Huh? What’s the meaning of this?”

”Is this for gilding the edges of Ancestor’s portrait? With just this, even doing the eyes would be difficult, right?”

”Bro, are you an idiot? Using draft paper for gilding Ancestor’s portrait, you can actually think of that?”

”Go to hell, you’re the idiot!”

The middle-aged physics teacher didn’t say anything but silently tore the draft paper into small pieces, then cautiously stepped forward and scattered them not far from the Prayer Hall.

Before everyone present could express confusion, an astonishing scene unfolded.

They saw the scattered paper pieces in the air, as if summoned by some mysterious force, swiftly change trajectory and stick tightly to the surroundings of the hall.

The live stream comments suddenly went dark, only the sound of his hurried retreat could be heard.

Even the crowd around him were stunned.

”Ah... what does this mean?”

”Don’t know, I’ve attended undergraduate classes, but the university teacher didn’t teach this, aba aba.”

”Teacher, what does this mean, didn’t quite understand?”

Everyone stared at the middle-aged man, hoping for a reasonable explanation.

Under the gaze of everyone, the middle-aged physics teacher smiled bitterly, then explained:

”I wonder if you noticed the variable climate in this mountain when you arrived here?”

”In the mountains, that’s normal, we’re used to it.”

Among the incense burners, an aunt echoed.

The middle-aged man continued:

”Yes, exactly, it’s due to this unique mountain climate that the clouds often carry large charges, and in Changchun Temple, the Prayer Hall stands at the highest geographical position on the peak, acting as an excellent large conductor.”

Barrage:

”?”

”??”

”Confused tree bears confused fruit, under the tree, you and me.”

”No, I really don’t get it, isn’t the Prayer Hall positioned high so Immortals can hear clearly?”

”I don’t know either, but I know my physics teacher definitely kept a trick up his sleeve back then!”

The comments were a mess, but all eyes were on the middle-aged man, without time to deal with them.

Watching Elder An’s expression gradually soften, with a smile of encouragement, the middle-aged man gritted his teeth and continued:

”When the charged cumulus moves in, the huge electric potential difference between the clouds and the Prayer Hall’s top causes air ionization, generating an arc, which we ordinarily define as lightning.”

”The high-energy, powerful arc compresses the surrounding air, appearing as a fireball, accompanied by thunder.”

As he explained, he asked Ning An:

”Little Daoist, did you notice this phenomenon in your usual observations?”

Huh?

Me?

Ning An awkwardly cupped his hands behind his back, speaking hesitantly:

”Um... naturally, Little Daoist has noticed, knows...”

”Pfft.”

Before finishing his sentence, he heard An Xiaofu unabashedly laughing.

Ning An hurriedly turned to glare, but An Xiaofu wasn’t intimidated and directly made a ghost face in return.

”Don’t worry, classmates, there’s nothing embarrassing about it, have a seat.”

The middle-aged man had already entered teacher mode, speaking animatedly:

”Classmates, take a closer look, this Prayer Hall is integrated with the mountain range at the back, inherently a good discharge channel.”

The expressions on the faces of the surrounding incense burners had shifted from excitement to bewilderment.

”He...what is he talking about? I understand each word, but when they’re combined, I don’t get it?”

The middle-aged man entered his unstoppable mode, giving it his all:

”What’s most ingenious is that, apart from decorations like hippocampi on the roof ridge, the curvature on the hall’s rooftop isn’t large, with few pointed structures to discharge, ensuring the building can achieve a relatively high electric potential difference while preventing lightning strikes.”

”Additionally, the largest statue inside the hall matches the height of the hall itself, with eyes made of copper. The intense electric light reflects through the statue, creating an effect similar to an Immortal opening their eyes.”

Ning An’s mind was no longer functioning, and the online audience was also dumbfounded.

”Weakly asking, isn’t this a metaphysics live stream? Why do I see a physics teacher lecturing on celestial matters as soon as I log on?”

”My mom asked me why I’m watching a live stream on my knees. She came over, watched for a while, and knelt down with me.”

”Seems like there’s some truth to it?”

The middle-aged man’s speech was logical and systematic, causing many to instantly switch sides.

”I’ve been convinced, it’s best to believe in science, really, we’ve all had compulsory education; do you believe in Immortals or science?”

”I don’t know, I’ll roll a die and randomly believe one.”

Plop, plop, plop.

Applause sounded, it was Elder An clapping with a smile.

”Good, I must apologize here; I like a physics teacher who can closely relate to daily life like you.”

”Elder An, I...”

”No need to say more, child, you’ve done very well.”

An Ruolin looked at the crowd, all with sorrowful expressions, and his eyes unintentionally welled up with some tears.

He tried to sit up straight, wanting to leave everyone with the dignity of a scholar.

The rain’s patter gradually enveloped the old man.

”Classmates, understanding the world while altering the world are things each of us experiences; perhaps there are truly things in the world for which our current understanding provides no solutions.

But remember one point, as long as it’s an entity, it has its principles. What we can do is go understand and master it; beyond this, there’s no other way...”
