Ning An's Wild Wish System

Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Failed Scam Buster, Scammed Out of 120,000 First?

One stick for twenty thousand...

The viewers in the livestream were stunned into silence.

But if you are the destined one, it’s free.

The crowd instantly grew excited again.

”I’m a college student, I’m the destined one.”

”College students are so troublesome, get out of the way, I’m a primary school student, Brother Sect Leader look at me.”

”Streamer, you know, I never met my great-grandmother since childhood...”

...

Ning An looked at the barrage in the livestream, and his mouth felt a bit dry from smiling.

In terms of creating drama, it has to be students indeed.

Just for the incense in his hand, they’re starting to sell sob stories, the online world truly is full of talent.

Brother Anti-counterfeiting was so shocked his jaw almost dropped.

This...

Does this constitute fraud...

Ning An was resolute, sneering coldly inside.

Isn’t Adolf here to bust scams, hoping to make a big profit from it?

Brother Anti-counterfeiting was torn, veins bulging on his forehead, burning with rage: ”Are you crazy? Robbing, aren’t you!”

”Do you know your actions constitute consumer fraud? I can sue you for this!”

Ning An shook his head without hesitation and said, ”How can you say that? I’m transparent with my pricing, others get it for free, but it’s twenty thousand for you.”

”Like it, buy it, if not, get lost!”

Brother Anti-counterfeiting gritted his teeth, yet was helpless for the moment.

Although he firmly believed that Changchun Temple was a setup, he didn’t want to become the sucker in a fraud-busting campaign.

Besides, he had no retreat now, having confidently declared before the livestream that this Daoist Temple was a sham and promising to expose the truth.

As a major streamer, he was well aware of the consequences of going back on his word.

Seeing Ning An unmoved and looking innocent, he wished he could slap himself.

Bang!

His eyes suddenly reddened, crying in front of countless viewers, and collapsed onto the chair:

”Daoist Master... my Little Daoist, I know you have issues with me, but your grandmaster is watching from above, we can’t do this...”

”How about ten thousand per stick? No higher than that!”

”Daoist Master, I have an eighty-year-old mother above and a child needing care below, I’m burning incense for their sake, please, Little Daoist Master, have mercy... extra mercy...”

Ning An laughed furiously.

This damn shamelessness, with so many viewers watching, making it seem like Ning was really forcing the sale.

Ning An, slightly annoyed, shouted at him, ”Changchun Temple may be small, but it won’t tolerate disrespect to the grandmaster!”

”Moreover, burning incense and praying is mutual consent, you don’t have to burn if you don’t want to, if it’s too expensive go to a different temple, why cry here, I... I...”

Ning An almost said he would print his photo and place it under the furnace, cursing every day.

But in a moment’s thought, Ning An didn’t want to be that malicious, impatiently waved his hand: ”Our grandmaster just announced they do not welcome you, go to other temples to pray.”

”Nine sticks for one hundred fifty thousand...” Brother Anti-counterfeiting gritted his teeth, throwing out a figure he thought would tempt Ning An.

After all, he had investigated, this small Daoist Temple had sparse incense money in a year, hardly reaching such an amount, and now he offered a year’s worth.

Surely it touched this Little Daoist’s heart?

Brother Anti-counterfeiting had it all planned, before other fraud-busting streamers reacted, he needed to negotiate the so-called treasures and an agreement with Ning An!

Thereafter, he could host more streams, have the big fans stir the atmosphere, rake back the money with interest from the poor!

He pitifully said: ”Little Daoist, really can’t go any higher, I can transfer the money now, plus a personal donation of ten thousand as incense money, as an apology to the grandmaster.”

Ning An sneered: ”Sorry, now it’s forty thousand a stick, no haggling!”

Simultaneously his lips curved: ”Furthermore, each person can only buy three sticks of incense, and for you, only in-person service, no take-out incense.”

It’s not Ning An begging him to come burn incense, it’s him wanting to bust scams.

Besides, you, a major streamer with five or six million followers, crying and acting out here, for whom?

Brother Anti-counterfeiting was full of worry, after three to five years of scam busting, thinking himself clever, he initially thought dealing with this young Daoist would be a piece of cake.

It turns out he is indeed young, but with a truly ruthless heart, countering everything effortlessly.

With a face of resigned anger, ashen, Brother Anti-counterfeiting feared delays and ground his teeth: ”Alright, forty thousand it is, I’ll buy, I’ll transfer now...”

Ning An had thought it through yesterday, wanting to see just how absurd this so-called exemption cost could get.

As for the previous statement about charging and the free offer to destined ones, it didn’t matter, it’s just whimsical thoughts, after all, having the ability to cultivate immortality, who cares about worldly gold and silver?

But apparently fame brings trouble, and wasn’t he instantly targeted by an online beggar.

Private chat, chat with your grandpa!

These so-called fraud-busting streamers start off boasting online about uncovering scams, then privately message merchants with threats.

More amusingly, where are there honest merchants in this environment?

Most merchants are forced to transfer money, stepping into the trap.

After receiving payments, these streamers present the transfer receipts, who needs to bust fraud after that?

Well, it illustrates the point directly.

Of course, there are stubborn merchants, and most of them become these streamers’ content.

But, bust immortals?

Ning An sheepishly scratched his head.

Sorry, anything produced by the system is high quality.

Come bust it if you dare, see if your luck holds.

”No need for private chats.” Ning An smiled: ”Transfer first, with so many viewers watching, as a big streamer, you can’t default on payment~”

Ning An felt cheerful, having time now to look at the screen, only to find the barrage momentarily silent.

Just now... what was he chatting with the viewers about?

Oh, he remembered, viewers were accusing him of a scam to extort money, but he hadn’t had the chance to explain.

Ning An casually thought of ending the connection, but Brother Anti-counterfeiting urgently exclaimed: ”I’m transferring now, Daoist Master your bank details... Daoist Master I’m sending, Daoist Master wait for me, I’m on my way...”

The next moment, a cheerful notification sound rang.

[120,000 yuan has been credited!]

???

Ning An was a bit dumbfounded, feeling as if he had fallen into a coerced transaction?

Witnessing the process, the viewers in the livestream exploded instantly.

”Wow, no wonder those bald guys love duping big stars and bosses into temples to pray, look at this money-making method, earning while standing, even Old Ma would weep.”

”This is even fiercer than the Tomb Robber guy, tomb robbers don’t open for months, but once they do, they feast for three years. The temple just starts outright robbing.”

”A super VIP appeared, twelve hundred thousand just for a few sticks of incense. Is it me that’s out of touch, or has the world changed.”

”Alright, spread the word, the fraud-busting streamer failed in the attempt, first got scammed 120k.”

”Learned something, I’ll start a class called: Teach You How to Grab Someone’s 120k in 30 Seconds!”
