A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 1493: Chapter 1483: Identity

Zhuang Shaoyang still left, and Ruan Xinyu was extremely anxious, but Kong Lizhen hadn’t revealed her identity, so she couldn’t say it outright.

Besides, she had no evidence; what if she denied it?

She looked at Kong Lizhen and said, ”Shao Yang is a person of sentiment and loyalty. He takes care of Liang Rong mainly because she is Jiaojiao’s mother, his comrade’s beloved.”

”He is indeed quite sentimental and loyal,” Kong Lizhen replied with a smile.

Watching her indifferent demeanor, Ruan Xinyu didn’t know how to speak well for Zhuang Shaoyang.

However, Kong Lizhen suddenly looked at Zhuang Zeyang, ”Why didn’t Mr. Zhuang go to work today?”

”Didn’t rest well last night, so I took leave today,” Zhuang Zeyang said.

Ruan Xinyu looked at Zhuang Zeyang and jokingly remarked, ”Yesterday, you disappeared suddenly, returning home only in the middle of the night. Did something happen?”

”It’s resolved now,” Zhuang Zeyang replied calmly, ”However, there’s something everyone needs to know.”

”What?” Ruan Xinyu looked at him in surprise but noticed his gaze fixated on Kong Lizhen.

She asked, ”Why are you looking at Ah Zhen?”

Mu Yan also felt that such matters couldn’t be concealed for long, especially since why should they suffer in silence?

Furthermore, Zhuang Shaoyang’s visit to see Liang Rong would certainly reveal Mom’s identity to him.

”Actually, the reason I didn’t come home last night was that I almost got involved in a kidnapping incident,” Mu Yan suddenly said.

”What did you say?” Ruan Xinyu’s face changed dramatically, and the elderly woman’s face turned pale.

The old man said nothing, but his expression seemed swept by a storm, reaching a level of danger.

Seeing this, Mu Yan quickly said, ”Grandpa, Grandma, don’t worry, I’m okay. The issue is over, and the culprits have been caught.”

The elderly woman patted her chest, looking relieved, ”Yes, it’s all okay now, it’s all okay.”

”What exactly happened?” Ruan Xinyu asked.

”I don’t know either. I was initially going to hail a taxi home when suddenly a group of people rushed over, put a sack over my head, and dragged me into their vehicle. Eventually, I was taken to that warehouse where I saw Liang Rong, and she abducted me because she wanted to threaten my mom,” Mu Yan said gravely.

Mom? The elderly woman looked at her in surprise, not understanding her meaning.

At that moment, Kong Lizhen suddenly got up and knelt on the ground, facing the elderly woman and the old man.

”Dad, Mom, I’m sorry, I’ve been keeping this from you.”

Her action completely stunned the elderly woman, who looked incredulous, wanting to say something, but her throat seemed to be blocked as if coming home.

The old man was much more composed than her; he looked at Kong Lizhen and asked, ”Are you Ah Ning?”

”Yes, Dad, I am Ah Ning.” Kong Lizhen looked at the old man, ”Due to some reasons, I had to change my face. I’m sorry for not telling you the truth all along.”

The old man looked at her, and after a silent moment, said, ”It’s good that you’re alright.”

He paused, then repeated again, ”It’s good that you’re alright.”

His consistent calm demeanor lost to turmoil was uncommon.

Kong Lizhen knelt on the ground, filled with remorse, she couldn’t remember past events but could sense his care for her.

Most fathers in this world probably aren’t proficient with words, yet their love runs deeper, making it hard to repay.

Ruan Xinyu went over to help Kong Lizhen, ”It’s good you’re back, this is a joyous event, why kneel? Mom will be distressed again.”

The elderly woman then came back to her senses, quickly saying, ”Yes, Ah Ning, get up quickly.”
