A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 1460: Chapter 1450: Visiting

When Jiang Jingheng was mentioned, Mu Yan’s face turned cold. Without saying anything, she took her bag and headed out.

Zhuang Yi dragged her suitcase, following her out, and asked, ”Did things really get as bad as they say online?”

”It’s none of your business.” Mu Yan looked impatient.

Zhuang Yi saw that she was in a bad mood and said softly, ”How can I ignore it? I’m just worried about you getting bullied. But a few days ago, when I beat him up, you weren’t happy then, so why the sudden change in attitude? What did he do to you? Just tell me, and I’ll help you beat him up.”

”All you ever think about is using your fists to solve problems; can you use your brain for once?” Mu Yan said irritably.

Zhuang Yi, ”...”

So, it’s still my fault?

”Alright, alright, alright, it’s my fault, let’s not stay angry.”

They arrived at the airport, and after waiting for a while, Kong Lizhen showed up.

”What’s the situation with the old lady?” Kong Lizhen asked with a serious expression.

”Things weren’t good when I arrived, and now I’m not sure.” Zhuang Yi replied, ”Thanks so much for being concerned. The journey to Beijing is quite far, and I really didn’t want to trouble you with visiting in person.”

”It’s nothing. The old lady is Mu Yan’s grandmother, so she’s also my elder.” Kong Lizhen laughed.

Zhuang Yi looked at her without speaking, thinking it’s like adopting a goddaughter means accepting the whole family?

If he didn’t know Kong Lizhen was directly from the Kong Family, he might think she had ulterior motives.

”Alright, the plane is about to take off, let’s head over.” Kong Lizhen said.

”Hmm.” Mu Yan nodded.

Before boarding the plane, Mu Yan checked the time again. Unfortunately, the person still hadn’t contacted her, so she finally switched her cellphone to airplane mode.

The three of them arrived in Beijing at ten in the evening.

Because the old lady’s situation was bad, the two brothers of the Zhuang Family as well as Ruan Xinyu were all at the hospital, and even Liang Rong, who had just lost her daughter, was there.

Ruan Xinyu saw her and came up to greet, saying, ”Nuannuan, you’re back?”

Mu Yan ran over, grabbed her hand, and asked, ”How’s Grandma?”

”She’s still in the intensive care unit. The doctor said she needs to be observed for another two days, but her condition has already improved somewhat.”

Mu Yan felt somewhat relieved, ”That’s good.”

Ruan Xinyu’s gaze fell on Kong Lizhen behind her, and she said, ”Ah Zhen, what startled you into coming too?”

”I’ve been staying with Yanyan lately. Suddenly hearing her Grandma was seriously ill, I wanted to come over to visit, it was perhaps a bit presumptuous.” Kong Lizhen nodded, apologetically said.

Ruan Xinyu laughed, ”No need to worry about being presumptuous, you’re our Nuannuan’s godmother, indeed one of the most honored guests of the Zhuang Family. Your visit is an honor for us.”

”Then I won’t stand on ceremony.” Kong Lizhen laughed, noticing several pairs of eyes on her.

She nodded slightly at Zhuang Zeyang and Zhuang Shaoyang, glanced at Liang Rong, then walked towards the ward door. Through the glass window, she could see the old lady lying in bed, covered in instruments.

She asked, ”May I go in and see the old lady?”

”Of course.” Ruan Xinyu said.

Mu Yan went with Ruan Xinyu to change clothes, Ruan Xinyu said to Zhuang Zeyang and Zhuang Shaoyang, ”You two have work tomorrow, it’s better to head back; I’ll stay at the hospital.”

”I’ll stay here; I’ll take a day off tomorrow.” Zhuang Zeyang said.

Zhuang Shaoyang, hearing this, said, ”Allow me to stay, Mom’s in bad health this time, it’s also my responsibility.”

”I’ll stay too.” Liang Rong followed up.

Ruan Xinyu looked at Zhuang Shaoyang and Liang Rong with unpleasant expressions.

”Stop arguing, I’ll stay here with your elder brother today, and as for Miss Liang, you’d better head home early to rest.”
