A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 1464: Chapter 1454: Is Ah Ning Here?

The next morning, Mu Yan went to the hospital with Kong Lizhen.

The elderly lady had already woken up in the morning and had been transferred to a regular ward.

When they arrived, Ruan Xinyu and Zhuang Shaoyang were standing outside the ward, while inside the doctors were examining the elderly lady.

Zhuang Zeyang had stayed up all night, and he didn’t look too well.

Ruan Xinyu looked at Mu Yan and Kong Lizhen and asked, ”Did you sleep well last night?”

”Pretty well.” Mu Yan nodded and looked into the ward, ”How’s Grandma?”

”She’s awake.” Ruan Xinyu smiled, ”But I haven’t told her you’re here. She’ll be happy to see you.”

Mu Yan smiled and glanced into the ward, her gaze involuntarily sweeping past Liang Rong.

After being reprimanded so harshly by Aunt yesterday, she still came today. Her face must be pretty thick, clearly deeply infatuated with Zhuang Shaoyang.

After a while, the doctor came out of the ward and said to Zhuang Zeyang, ”Minister Zhuang, the examination is complete. All the indicators are normal. She can be discharged after staying in the hospital for one more night for observation.”

”Thank you, doctor.” Zhuang Zeyang nodded.

After seeing off the doctor, everyone immediately entered the ward.

The elderly lady lay on the hospital bed, her eyes half-open, looking a bit better than yesterday but still lacking energy.

”Mom, how are you feeling?” Ruan Xinyu stepped forward and asked.

The elderly lady held her hand, opened her mouth slightly, and spoke in a weak voice, ”I’m fine.”

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, and Ruan Xinyu smiled and said, ”Mom, look who’s here to see you?”

The elderly lady’s gaze shifted, sweeping across the room, pausing on Mu Yan for a moment, then looking at Kong Lizhen.

Suddenly, she called out, ”Ah Ning.”

Everyone was stunned, their eyes collectively falling on Mu Yan. Was she mistaken?

”Mom, that’s Nuannuan, not Ah Ning.” Ruan Xinyu explained, then waved to Mu Yan, ”Nuannuan, come here.”

Mu Yan stepped forward, took the elderly lady’s hand, and said, ”Grandma, I’ve come back to see you.”

The elderly lady smiled at her and said, ”Nuannuan, it’s good that you’re back.”

As she spoke, her gaze fell on Kong Lizhen, and she smiled, ”Ah Ning, why aren’t you coming over?”

At this, everyone looked at Kong Lizhen, their eyes filled with shock. What was going on?

Especially Zhuang Shaoyang, who felt as if blood was rushing to his head, leaving him completely stunned.

Kong Lizhen looked at everyone with a puzzled expression, seemingly not understanding.

Ruan Xinyu said to the elderly lady, ”Mom, you’ve got the wrong person. That’s not Ah Ning; that’s Miss Kong, who came specifically with Nuannuan to visit you.”

”Elderly lady, how are you feeling?” Ruan Xinyu approached and asked.

Her voice was somewhat hoarse, lacking the softness typical of a woman.

As she approached, the elderly lady saw her face clearly and a hint of disappointment appeared in her eyes.

”I got it wrong, I’m sorry, thank you for coming to see me.”

”It’s alright, I hope you recover soon,” Kong Lizhen said with a smile.

Zhuang Shaoyang looked at Kong Lizhen’s back, a trace of disappointment in his eyes. It was indeed a mistake.

If she were Ah Ning, how could he not recognize her?

The elderly lady turned to Mu Yan and said, ”Nuannuan, I think I felt your mom came to see me.”

Mu Yan’s eyelid twitched, and she said, ”It must be your imagination.”

”No, she was here.” The elderly lady looked at the ceiling, tears suddenly falling down, ”I owe her an apology.”
