Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2527: Chapter 2527: The Rotten Upper Beam

When they went outside, they finally saw that Old Lady An, who should have been sitting in the courtyard, was already outside, and her old hands were tightly gripping the arm of the passing Chief.

“Chief, what Que’er said earlier about giving the land deeds back to everyone doesn’t count. Please return Que’er’s land deeds to us. My Que’er even asked everyone to keep the land deeds in his name!”

Previously, after listening to her grandson’s advice, Old Lady An didn’t think that returning the land to the villagers was a bad thing. After all, her family still had money, and her grandson was a scholar, so many people would want to curry favor with their family.

Moreover, whenever someone from the village came to their home to borrow books to copy, she would charge quite a few copper coins each time, which could earn a considerable amount of money.

But now a mishap had occurred— the family’s books had all been burned to ashes, nothing was left. In her eyes, those books were treasures, a mountain of money.

Gone just like that, she suddenly found herself again consumed by the thought of money, with only one idea in mind— that she must earn money to buy back all those books that were burned.

So, she set her mind on the land deeds once again, seeing that the wheat would soon be harvested and that would also be a substantial sum of money, enough to buy several books.

“What are you doing, let go, let go!”

The Chief, held by Old Lady An, was so anxious he almost jumped in place.

Two old folks, pulling and tugging, what was this all about? Besides, these land deeds weren’t toys in a child’s hands; it wasn’t up to them to decide whom they could just give them to.

Even the toys in a child’s hands wouldn’t be given to just anyone an adult told them to!

“Sister-in-law, hurry up and let go of me!”

Seeing Old Lady An gripping tightly, the Chief got anxious and flung his arm directly to shake her off.

“In the middle of the night, what kind of madness is this, so many people watching, don’t you care about your reputation a bit?” His face turned green with anger as he pointed at Old Lady An and cursed.

But Old Lady An didn’t care; she was determined to get back the land deeds. Seeing herself being shaken off, she stepped forward again, trying to grab something from the Chief.

“An old bag of bones still pulling and tugging, you don’t care about your face but I do, get the hell away from me.”

Usually speaking gently and known as a nice guy in the village, the Chief was truly angered this time, retreating a few steps to avoid giving Old Lady An another chance.

“I wondered where An Que got his shameless nature from. Turns out it’s from a crooked upper beam. Old Woman An, get the hell away from me and don’t make me say it a third time!”

Seeing Old Lady An still wanting to rush up, the Chief shouted angrily again.

The onlookers, who had almost dispersed, heard the Chief’s angry shout, and the nearby neighbors came out again, seeing Old Lady An weeping and about to throw herself at the Chief.

“Is this old aunt crazy? Why is she throwing herself at the Chief? Doesn’t she care about her reputation?”

“I think she’s not right in the head, maybe the family’s books being burned got to her, her mind isn’t sound anymore? A woman like her has no shame at all.”

The people whispered among themselves about Old Lady An.

But Old Lady An couldn’t listen to the people around her now; her eyes were fixed tightly on the Chief’s arms, convinced that the land deeds belonging to her were definitely in the Chief’s arms.
