Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2526: Chapter 2526: Let’s Split the Family

Could it really be as my wife said, that all these things were arranged by Prince An Yang?

“So Que’er returning all the land deeds to others was also Prince An Yang’s arrangement? What is this Prince An Yang after? Even though those lands were in Que’er’s name, they had nothing to do with her at all.”

Upon hearing this, Auntie Mei’s eyelid twitched.

Her husband still didn’t understand, and was still heartbroken over those land deeds An Que just surrendered?

She didn’t feel the heartache; all these years, the grain from those lands hadn’t spent a single copper coin in their second branch’s hands. Instead, all the money their second branch earned was handed over to the mother-in-law, who spent it on An Que.

They’ve been the big suckers long enough.

Anyway, she’s decided moving forward, if the mother-in-law wants to take even one copper coin from her, that’s impossible. The money she earns, she’ll keep hidden for herself.

“If you want to think like that, then continue to be good to your dear nephew. Let’s see if, when he becomes someone great, he’ll be any kinder to you!”

“Uh.”

Second Elder An was choked up by his wife’s words.

Ever since An Que passed the scholar exams, all the good food in the family went to An Que. He never even got to eat anything with some fat in it without getting scolded by his mother for wasting food.

This is a situation just like what his wife said. Can he really enjoy any benefits from his nephew in the future?

“Then what should we do? Wife, tell me, what should we do now? We can’t just do nothing, can we?” he asked.

Those people outside are still his family, right? If he really ignores them, what would that make him? In the future, how could he hold his head high in the village?

“You want to intervene?”

“I…”

Auntie Mei asked him a question, and just as he was about to say yes, he saw the obvious mockery in his wife’s eyes.

“Do you have the means to intervene? Do you have a single copper coin, or will your mother give you grain to cook a good meal? You have nothing, yet you want to meddle. Look at you!”

Auntie Mei’s words left Second Elder An utterly ashamed.

Indeed, he had nothing to his name. If it wasn’t for fearing that wearing rags would disgrace An Que, his mother wouldn’t even have provided clothes for him.

“Wife, tell me, what should I do?” At a loss, he could only turn to his wife for help.

“Simple, when your nephew returns, let’s separate from the family. I no longer want to live like this,” Auntie Mei said frankly.

She’s not brainless either. She reckoned that the land deed issue must be related to An Que’s status as a scholar. Who knows, perhaps more is yet to come.

If their second branch can separate from the Old An family at this time, that would be best. They won’t be dragged down by An Que anymore in the future.

“Separate from the family?”

Second Elder An’s eyes widened in disbelief.

How did it come to this all of a sudden, talking about separating from the family? It’s said that as long as parents are alive, there should be no separation. His mother is still around, so how did it come to the point of needing to separate?

“This isn’t right, we…”

He wanted to refuse, thinking there’s nothing wrong with the family staying together. At most, they would listen less to the old mother’s words in the future. But at that moment, a ruckus started outside.

“What’s going on outside? Why is it so noisy? What has your mother done this time?”

Auntie Mei didn’t want to hear what her husband had to say next. Hearing the commotion outside, she directly headed out.
