Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2186: Chapter 2186: Really Deserves a Beating

He shrank his neck and retreated, feeling an impulse to escape.

In fact, he really struggled to get up from the ground and ran backward, but after just a few steps, Yuu Rong caught up to him and dragged him back.

Then, a foot stomped on his chest, rendering him immobile.

“Run? With that turtle-like appearance of yours, where do you think you can run to?”

Yuu Rong mocked him, lowering his head to stare at the terrified Emperor Zhong, whose body was still trembling uncontrollably.

With this pitiful demeanor, there was nothing resembling the stature of an emperor of any nation. Even an ordinary person would show more backbone than this. Truly regrettable—Emperor Zhong was no better than the Emperor of Beikun.

“You… you all, spare me. I’m willing to compensate the Yiinn Family. Whatever you want, you can have. The treasures in the national treasury—you’re free to choose!”

Yuu Rong’s fist hadn’t even landed yet, but Emperor Zhong had already begun to beg for mercy.

He could tell—that these people were absolutely ruthless. There was no chance for his guards to gain the upper hand against them. For now, he could only surrender.

Weren’t they supposed to have come from Wulong Mountain? For now, he would swallow his pride and apologize, and once they left the Plant Plane, he’d deal with the Yiinn Family.

This time, he wouldn’t leave the Yiinn Family even a sliver of hope. Even if the High Priest Demon Heart found out later, it would already be too late.

He’d like to see what these people could actually do to him!

“Do you think to tempt us—is there some treasure we lack?” Yuu Rong pointed his thumb toward himself, questioning Emperor Zhong.

Treasures? Attempting to bribe them—how laughable! He was just like the Emperor of Beikun in that respect. The only difference was that the Emperor of Beikun tried directly to buy their allegiance, whereas Emperor Zhong intended to use the Yiinn Family as a bargaining chip.

“Hah.”

Yuu Rong sneered and once again aimed his fist at Emperor Zhong.

Whether or not this man begged for mercy, the outcome had already been determined—his survival was impossible. But while he was still alive, it was worth beating him thoroughly to vent some anger.

“Ah!”

Emperor Zhong’s screams of agony echoed again, reverberating throughout the harem.

The Ninth Prince watched Emperor Zhong being battered, his gut-wrenching cries causing the prince to shut his eyes, but for some reason, his arms and legs almost refused to obey him.

He felt an overwhelming urge to join in and give Emperor Zhong a beating as well, because this guy was truly infuriating. The Ninth Prince thought to himself—if he didn’t seize the moment to deal with Emperor Zhong now, it might become impossible in the future.

Back during the initial chaos of the Nine Kingdoms’ war, he had been tricked by Emperor Zhong into going into closed-door cultivation at the Imperial Enlightenment Temple together with his mother, the Empress. By the time news reached him and he hurried back, desperate to intervene, it was already too late.

Emperor Zhong had deliberately notified him while he was away in the Imperial Enlightenment Temple—it was all calculated. Having suffered losses on the battlefield, Zhong wanted access to the Ninth Prince’s fifty thousand troop command.

But the Ninth Prince hadn’t handed over his fifty thousand soldiers to Emperor Zhong, refusing to play games with human lives.

Later, regarding the Yiinn Family incident, it was all carried out secretly by Emperor Zhong at first—no one knew. By the time the Ninth Prince found out, only three members of the Yiinn Family remained.

All of it had happened outside his awareness. If he had known, he would have done everything in his power to prevent such a tragedy from occurring.

As he hesitated—about whether to go forward and assist Yuu Rong—he caught sight of a familiar figure from the corner of his eye, rushing toward them with others in tow.

“Mother.”

He called out once and glanced at An Jiuyue’s group. With no response from her, he walked toward them anyway.
