Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2164: Chapter 2164: Without You, It Won’t Stop Turning

“What I mean is, when the Late Emperor signed the Mandate Contract with us State Knights, does it relate to you at all? Did you not see that it was written, our Mandate Contract only applies while the Late Emperor was alive?”

The Emperor of Beikun was stunned; he had never looked closely at the Mandate Contract, merely skimming over it.

At this moment, he was filled with immense regret. No wonder the Late Emperor had cautioned him before his death to sign a new Mandate Contract with these State Knights.

He thought it was too troublesome and assumed the original Mandate Contract would suffice, saving him from negotiating more terms with these arrogant State Knights.

Little did he know, there was yet another twist.

If only he had known earlier, he definitely wouldn’t have… Alas, he hadn’t known.

“Even without the Mandate Contract, can you really bear to watch the Beikun Kingdom fall into chaos again? If something happens to me, the Beikun Kingdom will definitely be in turmoil!”

He glared fiercely at Qian Jiyun and An Jiuyue, speaking to Qing Muguo.

He swore that as long as he lived, he would make sure these two would not have it easy. However, now was not the time for such things; he needed to persuade Qing Muguo to rescue him from their grasp.

He had prepared many arguments, but before he could speak them, a single sentence from Qing Muguo left him speechless.

“With you as the Emperor, the Beikun Kingdom will be in chaos, and the people will never have peace!” Qing Muguo said.

This was something the State Knights had long wanted to say. Although they had been in closed-door cultivation these past two years, they were not completely oblivious to the outside events.

However, they managed everything else but forgot that right below the emperor’s feet, the capital was being mismanaged by the Emperor of Beikun into a complete mess!

Yet, who could have imagined that an emperor of a country would so foolishly mismanage his own domain to this state, if not the Emperor of Beikun alone?

“You… you all…”

The Emperor of Beikun looked at Qing Muguo and then at Qian Jiyun, who seemed to be enjoying the spectacle, his face completely pale.

He absolutely despised Qing Muguo now. Even if his own actions could not be blamed, the Beikun Kingdom had supported these State Knights all these years, hadn’t they?

“Qing Muguo, can you really just watch as the Beikun Kingdom is annihilated?” He gritted his teeth and asked Qing Muguo word by word.

“Heh.”

Qing Muguo sneered.

“This Beikun Kingdom, lacking just you, will not only continue but might even be better off.”

This statement he made was indeed true. Without the Emperor of Beikun, the people of Beikun Kingdom would only fare better, though he frowned slightly in thought.

Which prince in the Beikun Kingdom was suitable to take the position of the Emperor of Beikun? Not a single one.

All of them were nothing but incompetent pleasure-seekers. Well-versed in indulging themselves, but governing the state was harder than reaching the heavens for them.

Suddenly, he thought of someone, and his eyes lit up.

“High Priest, I recommend a gentleman; if he could take the throne of the Emperor of Beikun, it would certainly be a blessing for the people of Beikun Kingdom,” turning around, he bowed deeply to An Jiuyue. He said.

“Which prince?”

An Jiuyue asked. If the Beikun Kingdom could be managed without resorting to military action, keeping the Yiinn Family safe, that would be ideal.

“Not a prince, rather not from the Beikun Royal Family at all. It’s Shang Que, the legitimate son of the former Prime Minister; he loves the people like his own children and has done many practical things for the citizens of Beikun Kingdom these years,”

Qing Muguo said.
