Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2169: Chapter 2169: Unfortunately, He Was Mistaken

“Heh, heh heh.”

The Emperor of Beikun’s eyes were wide, his face twisted in agony. He tried to scream, but not a single sound could escape his throat.

Blood gushed from his mouth in great spurts, causing Yuu Rong to release his grip. The Emperor then began to roll on the ground, utterly devoid of any imperial dignity.

“Your… Your Majesty…”

The guards watched in horror as their Emperor, right before their eyes, had his tongue cut out, struck dumb with terror.

These people meant business; they said they would cut the Emperor’s tongue, and they did, without the slightest room for negotiation. The commander of the guards watched the Emperor of Beikun roll on the ground, completely dumbfounded.

Were not the State Knights right beside His Majesty? How could they stand by, doing nothing, and just watch their Emperor’s tongue being gouged out?

And that severed tongue, whether by coincidence or not, landed right in front of the Chief of the Imperial Guards, scaring him into taking a step back, his foot inadvertently crushing another guard’s instep.

“You people… are too ruthless!”

His calves trembling, he had thought these people were merely representing the Yiinn Family to negotiate, at most just talking tough.

He figured at worst they would demand some advantages for the Yiinn Family, then let the matter drop, allowing the Yiinn Family to perhaps rise again.

But these people were actually daring to kill, sparing not even their Emperor, cutting out his tongue without the slightest hesitation, with ruthless efficiency.

If only he had acted in the imperial study room, had he made a move on that woman, wouldn’t his neck be split in twain by now?

“Heh, heh, heh heh!”

As the initial wave of pain subsided, the Emperor of Beikun stopped rolling around and instead stretched out his hand toward the Chief of the Imperial Guards, gesturing desperately for help.

Only when his tongue was cut out did he truly understand that these people’s words were not empty threats—they indeed did what they said they would do.

How he wished he had apologized when he first saw that woman!

If only he had promptly apologized and offered compensation, perhaps they wouldn’t have harmed him, right? After all, he was still the Emperor of the Beikun Kingdom, wasn’t he?

But now, it was too late for regrets; they intended to elevate Shang Que to take his place.

He obviously didn’t want to be dethroned, but it was no longer up to him. Now, he just wanted to survive; as long as he lived, he would do anything.

So, he placed all his hopes on the Chief of the Imperial Guards.

He had never skimped on rewarding the Chief of the Imperial Guards, and it was he who had facilitated his rise to Chief by killing another competitor.

At such a critical moment, he must surely save his Emperor, right?

Even if not for him as the Emperor, at least out of gratitude, he couldn’t just ignore his life and death, could he?

Unfortunately, he was mistaken.

The moment the Chief of the Imperial Guards saw Yuu Rong decisively slice off the Emperor of Beikun’s tongue, his heart was consumed by fear. How could he knowingly charge to certain death?

He couldn’t control his feet anymore; they retreated backward on their own.

With the Chief of the Imperial Guards already retreating, let alone the other guards, they looked from the State Knights to Yuu Rong, and then to the powerless Emperor of Beikun.
