Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 945: Chapter 988: Return to the Mu Family

This is the first time in ten years that my mother has smiled in front of me! I don’t know what she meant by those words, I only know that after that man named Mu Huajian left, my mother’s attitude towards me took a complete one-hundred-eighty-degree turn!

At night, he took me to a fancy restaurant outside for a delicious meal, then took me out to buy a new set of clothes!

I didn’t know what she intended, I only knew that meal was the best I had ever eaten!

I thought my relationship with my mother was beginning to change, and she had finally realized the responsibilities of being a mother!

However, the next morning when I woke up, my mother was not home.

I thought she just went out to play and would eventually come back, so I didn’t care, changed into my old ragged clothes, and went out, thinking to continue picking up junk to sell.

As soon as the door opened, the man named Mu Huajian appeared, followed by an older person.

”My mom is not home!” I thought he was here to find my mom, so I told him this.

Mu Huajian casually raised an eyebrow, ”I know, I’m here to take you home. I am your father, my name is Mu Huajian, you are my youngest son. From today on, your name is Mu Beiting.”

”Dad...!” I chanted these unfamiliar two words.

The term ”dad” was very foreign, very foreign in my mind. I never even imagined I had a dad, nor had I fantasized that one day my dad would come to take me home!

”Yes, I am your dad. From today on, there will no longer be a mom in your life, only me as your father!” Saying this, Mu Huajian gave the man behind him a look, the man nodded, squatted down, and said to me, ”Young master, the master’s car is already waiting downstairs. Let’s go!”

”Where is my mom?” I asked, and the word ”mom” was also the first time I uttered it in my ten years of life, and I didn’t expect this would be the only time in my life I would call her.

Upon hearing me call for mom, Mu Huajian seemed very displeased, with a stern face said, ”She has left you, from now on, there is no longer that woman in your life, only me as your father.”

I looked back at the house I’ve lived in for ten years, thinking I’d feel nostalgic, thinking I wouldn’t want to part. Only at this moment did I realize, I was originally a superfluous person, in my mother’s life, I never counted for anything.

I don’t know why she gave birth to me in the first place, if she did, why could she then completely shirk her responsibility. But now, in this moment, I know, from now on, the words ”mother” will never appear in my life.

That day, without any reluctance, I left with the man called Mu Huajian.

They first took me back to the hotel where they were temporarily staying, let me wash up for a clean bath, and then change into the clothes they’d already prepared for me.

In ten years of living, I had never worn clothing this expensive, this fine. Looking at the cut-off tags on the desk, each set would cost at least a thousand bucks!

I looked at myself in the mirror, suddenly feeling puzzled and unfamiliar, for a moment, I couldn’t even believe the person in the mirror was me.

And it was only until this moment that I carefully looked at my own appearance, unexpectedly finding my looks somewhat resembling this man named Mu Huajian.

After washing up and changing clothes, I returned to Jin City with Mu Huajian and stepped into that so-called ’home’.

The moment I stepped inside, I realized, my father turned out to be so wealthy, lavish villa, private swimming pool, a home simply bigger than the entire community he used to live in.

Even so, I didn’t feel anything, because no matter where I lived, whatever the environment, I was just alone!

This man named Mu Huajian kept claiming to be my father, yet I couldn’t find a trace of fatherly love in him!

My life, also began to undergo a drastic change from the moment I stepped into this villa.

I met a woman, Mu Huajian said that woman was my sister-in-law, the wife of my recently deceased brother.

From her eyes, I felt no welcome, instead, there was a strong sense of jealousy and anger!

However, I didn’t care at all! I was originally someone unwelcome, no one hurt, no one loved, I was superfluous everywhere, it didn’t matter whether others liked me or not.

But things often happen this way! Some things, the less you care about them, the more persistent others become.

After returning to Jin City, Mu Huajian immediately arranged for me to attend the best private school! As I hadn’t studied for ten years, I couldn’t keep up with my classmates’ progress at all, so, inevitably, Mu Huajian hired many teachers for me to catch up.

I applied myself and with nothing else to do, dedicated myself to learning, everything the teachers taught, I could basically memorize in one go. What others needed a week to learn, I could master in just an hour!

Slowly, not only did I catch up with the class’s progress, I became a top student in the class.

Perhaps precisely because I performed too well, and didn’t know how to hide my edge, it incited murderous intentions from the woman I originally should have called sister-in-law.

I will never forget that day; I was twelve years old, the weather was hot, having been locked away studying in the study all day, I wanted to go outside for some air! I walked alone along the garden surrounding the villa!

When I reached the private swimming pool, that supposed sister-in-law suddenly appeared, forcefully pushed me into the pool!

I couldn’t swim, I was terrified, I had never felt such fear before, I felt death approaching step by step.

I desperately flapped my hands on the water’s surface, shouting for help!

Yet, the woman stood coldly by the poolside, complacently said, ”You want to rob my son’s things, there’s no way! Only when you’re dead will this home wholly belong to my son!”

I realized, the son she referred to was Mu Rufeng, my nephew who was six years younger than me.

After saying those words, she left! I thought, this time for sure I’d die! Unexpectedly, at the most crucial moment, the butler who had accompanied Mu Huajian to pick me up jumped into the water to save me.

In the entire house, he was the only one who cared about me, who would inquire after me! The rest of the servants, outwardly respectful to me, I knew they looked down on me from the bottom of their hearts, behind my back, they ridiculed me, mocked me.

After the butler rescued me, he called Mu Huajian! I thought Mu Huajian would rush back immediately, but instead, he, like before, didn’t return home until the evening.
