Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 924: Chapter 967: Letting Go with Love

”Sigh...!” After hearing Ye Anxin’s words, Xue Rong could only let out a long helpless sigh. She was silent for a moment before she spoke, ”Anxin, although your father has been by my side this past year, and he promised to stay with me for the rest of his life, ever since we came here, I haven’t seen a genuine smile from him. I know he’s not happy! Almost every night, when I wake up, I see him sitting by the bed, looking at a photo of your mother. At first, I thought that with time, he would forget about you and your mother, but as the days went by, I realized he has not only not forgotten you, but he misses you even more! In all my thirty-some years with him, I’ve never seen him cry! Even when I drove you and your mother away back then, and he came home to find you gone, he didn’t cry! But now, I often secretly see him hiding and crying alone! You wouldn’t understand what it’s like to see a man hiding and crying! Maybe as people age, the desire for happiness and to live with the woman they love becomes stronger! Although I love him and want to keep him by my side, I can keep his body but not his heart! Rather than all three of us being in pain, it’s better if I choose to let go myself!” Xue Rong spoke a lot in one breath. And this was also the thought that had been weighing on her heart for a long time.

She had kept these words in her heart and hadn’t voiced them, even a week ago when she suddenly asked Nan Mingchuan for a divorce. When he asked her why, she didn’t say!

Because she didn’t want Nan Mingchuan to feel guilty, to carry a burden in his heart, and to stay with her out of responsibility instead of seeking his own happiness!

They were at an age where they no longer had time to waste! Previously, she didn’t understand Nan Mingchuan’s feelings for Fang Chuo. She had thought that his feelings for Fang Chuo were just pure infatuation, and that the thing you can’t have is always the best!

It was only this year that she truly understood that Nan Mingchuan’s feelings for Fang Chuo were a kind of mutual understanding and appreciation!

Fang Chuo was gentle and meticulous, with a mild temperament. Whenever Nan Mingchuan was in a bad mood or encountered something upsetting, he would talk to Fang Chuo! Although Fang Chuo couldn’t solve his problems, Fang Chuo would listen carefully! Often at these times, a man just wants someone to listen!

Her own character was too strong, and after thirty years of being his wife, she still didn’t understand him as well as Fang Chuo did!

It was for this reason that she chose to let go and keep all her thoughts and feelings to herself, not telling anyone.

Speaking these words, she felt much more at ease! Especially after she asked Nan Mingchuan for a divorce and saw how he couldn’t wait to rush to Fang Chuo’s side, although her heart was bitter, she felt her decision was right!

”Auntie, you...!” Hearing Xue Rong’s words, Ye Anxin felt that Xue Rong’s image had inexplicably risen greatly in her mind!

The selfish and possessive Xue Rong had suddenly become radiant, had become so great, willing to endure the pain of letting go for the sake of the man she loved!

Xue Rong sighed again, full of apology, ”Anxin! I apologize for the things I did to you and your mother in the past! I was too stubborn and unwilling to accept it at the time, which is why I did so many things that hurt you and your mother! I hope you won’t blame me and can forgive me! This past year, I’ve thought a lot and come to terms with it! Actually, Jianning and I live an ordinary life here, and it is quite happy! Having her to care for me in my old age makes up for the regret of Jiansi not being by my side!”

”Auntie, thank you!” Ye Anxin wanted to thank Xue Rong for letting go! There are very few people in the world who can think as openly as Xue Rong did!

Xue Rong said with a bitter smile, ”Sigh, no need to thank me! I think I’ve just come to terms with it too late! If I had realized it earlier, you and your mother wouldn’t have suffered so much over the years! Thinking of what I did to you before, I really feel quite guilty! Luckily, you don’t blame me, and that makes me content!”

”Auntie, if you have any difficulties over there, you can call me anytime, and I will do my utmost to help you!” At that moment, besides saying this, Ye Anxin didn’t know how else to express her gratitude to Xue Rong.

Because, without her fulfillment, her own mother might have been alone forever.

On the other end of the phone, Xue Rong shook her head and said with a smile, ”I’m doing well here, without any difficulties! Jianning has a stable job. When I have time, I go to the welfare institution to do some volunteer work. I find this life fulfilling and happy!”

Ye Anxin smiled and said, ”Hmm! When we have time, come back to visit. My dad, mom, and I will definitely treat you well!”

Xue Rong nodded and sincerely said, ”Hmm! We will come back when we have time! Please tell your mom I’m sorry and wish them happiness!”

”I will!” Ye Anxin answered, asked a little more about Xue Rong’s situation over there, and then hung up the phone!

After hanging up the phone, Ye Anxin held the phone in her hands, sitting in the carriage for a long time, unable to regain her composure, with endless emotion in her heart!

Xue Rong chose to fulfill her parents by accepting her own sadness! It is precisely because of this gesture that further proves she truly loves her father! Only deep love can make someone do this!

People are really strange; love can make a person great, selfless, and it can also turn someone into a demon, becoming terrifying!

Ye Anxin sighed, put the phone into her clothes pocket, and asked the driver to take her to her mother’s community gate!

Seeing Ye Anxin suddenly returning, her mother puzzledly asked, ”Anxin, didn’t you leave? Why are you back again!”

Ye Anxin got straight to the point, ”Mom, I just met Dad!”

Upon hearing this, her mother’s expression changed, her eyes flickering twice, and she asked with some agitation, ”Why did you go to see him? What did he say to you? Rest assured, Mom won’t reconcile with him, won’t do anything to hurt your aunt! You don’t need to worry about me becoming a third party that breaks up someone’s family!”

”Mom...!” Ye Anxin looked at the deep sadness in her mother’s eyes, shook her head helplessly, said nothing, and directly took out the divorce certificate and handed it to her mother, ”Mom, what do you see here?”

”What?” Her mother furrowed her brows, took what Ye Anxin handed her, and when she saw the three large words ’divorce certificate’, she couldn’t help but freeze, her hands trembling as she opened it! After reading its contents, she was stunned on the spot!

Ye Anxin’s mother looked at the divorce certificate, muttering to herself, ”Forgive, what he said is true, he didn’t lie to me, I thought he was lying to me!”
