Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 262: Chapter 262: Uncle’s Change?

”Hmm!” Ye Anxin’s mother didn’t dare say anything else, and could only nod in agreement.

Time quietly passed by, and the three people kept watch outside the door for an entire night.

There wasn’t a sound from the hospital room!

In the morning, there was still no movement inside the room, but the bodyguard at the end of the corridor came in to tell Mu Beiting, ”President, Mr. Yan, Mr. Huo, Mr. Xiang, and Miss Ruan are here. They said they’ve come to see the madam!”

Without a second thought, Mu Beiting said, ”Tell them to leave!”

”Yes!” The bodyguard acknowledged the order and quickly left.

Not long after, there was no more noise at the end of the corridor.

Ling Yueyue knew they must have all left.

Indeed, at this time Anxin needed peace and quiet, and it was not suitable to see anyone.

A little while later, the bodyguard returned holding a thermal lunch box, ”President, this was just personally delivered by the butler who said it’s the madam’s breakfast!”

Mu Beiting looked up, glanced at the thermal lunch box in the bodyguard’s hand, and reached out to take it.

Ling Yueyue looked at Mu Beiting, and tentatively asked, ”How about I take it in to her?”

Mu Beiting glanced at her, silently took the lunch box, and pushed the door open into the hospital room.

Seeing him go in, Ye Anxin’s mother anxiously wanted to follow, but was held back by Ling Yueyue, who gestured her to stay calm.

When Mu Beiting walked into the room with the lunch box, Ye Anxin was not lying in bed, but standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, leaning her head against the glass, staring blankly at the scenery outside.

In just one night’s time, Ye Anxin seemed to have lost a lot of weight, her already slender body left with only skin and bones.

Mu Beiting placed the lunch box on the bedside table, then gently approached, looking at Ye Anxin’s back. He couldn’t help but reach out to stroke her silky hair.

Ye Anxin didn’t respond, still absent-mindedly gazing out the window.

Mu Beiting’s hand gradually moved down from her hair to her slender waist, eventually wrapping an arm around her waist, another around her shoulders, burying his handsome face in her hair, and inhaling deeply her unique scent. In a hoarse voice, he said, ”Anxin, my Anxin! I know you’re very sad, but rest assured, I will definitely give our child an explanation!”

Ye Anxin’s pale lips moved slightly, but she did not speak.

Mu Beiting was silent for a moment, then continued, ”We are still young, life is long, we will definitely have our own children! This child will surely return!”

This time, Ye Anxin finally reacted, absent-mindedly asking, ”Really?”

Mu Beiting nodded gently, ”Certainly! He has left us now only because our fate with this child hasn’t arrived yet! I believe he will come back, at the best time!”

Ye Anxin was taken aback, blinked her eyes, slowly turned her head, and looked at Mu Beiting.

Ye Anxin still didn’t believe it, asking again, ”Really? Uncle, you’re not deceiving me?”

Mu Beiting assured her, ”Really! When have I ever lied to you, Uncle?”

Upon hearing this, Ye Anxin’s emotions broke down again. The sadness she had suppressed all night burst forth, and she turned and flung herself into Mu Beiting’s arms, once more crying bitterly, ”Uhu... Uncle, I’m sorry! I couldn’t protect our child! It was I who severed the fate between us and our child! Uncle, I’m sorry, please forgive me!”

Mu Beiting tightly held Ye Anxin in his arms, uncharacteristically comforting her, ”Silly girl, I don’t blame you, so there’s no need for forgiveness!”

”Uhu...!” Instead of stopping Ye Anxin’s tears, Mu Beiting’s generosity made her cry even harder.

If Uncle hit or scolded her, she might feel a little better inside!

Uncle’s tolerance, not only not blaming her, but also comforting her, made her feel even worse inside.

Mu Beiting buried his face in Ye Anxin’s hair, and his hoarse voice filled with self-blame slowly emerged, ”I’m sorry! I failed to fulfill my responsibilities as a husband, I failed to protect you and our child! I’m sorry... I was too late!”

”Uncle, Uncle...!” Hearing Mu Beiting’s words, Ye Anxin cried even more vigorously, repeating his name again and again to vent all the emotions trapped in her heart.

Mu Beiting stroked her silky hair, softly saying, ”Cry! Let out all the sadness! After crying, you need to be strong and take good care of your body! Once your body is well, our child will come back to us!”

”Uhu...!” With Mu Beiting’s indulgence, Ye Anxin cried her heart out in his arms!

Until she had cried enough, until she cried herself to exhaustion, Ye Anxin, who hadn’t slept all night, fell asleep again in Mu Beiting’s arms.

Mu Beiting held Ye Anxin’s petite body, looking down at the person in his arms by the daylight streaming in through the window!

For the first time, a complex expression appeared in his eyes.

After gazing at the person in his arms for a while, Mu Beiting leaned down to plant a kiss on her forehead, then carried her to the bedside, carefully laying her on the bed and covering her with the quilt.

Mu Beiting sat in the chair beside the bed, maintaining this position, watching the sleeping Ye Anxin without blinking.

It was not until noon that Ye Anxin gradually awoke, and he still maintained that position.

Seeing Ye Anxin awake, Mu Beiting then stood up, tucked the stray hair behind her ears, and softly said, ”You’re awake?”

Ye Anxin licked her dry lips, softly calling out, ”Uncle...!”

Mu Beiting asked gently, ”Hmm! Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”

Ye Anxin quietly looked at Mu Beiting, a clear look of astonishment in her eyes.

Uncle had changed! He was gentler than before!

Uncle used to treat her well, but he had never spoken to her so gently.

After waking up this time, Uncle had indeed changed a lot!

Seeing her remaining silent, Mu Beiting continued, ”Are you hungry? Would you like to eat something?”

Ye Anxin’s eyes dimmed, ”I have no appetite!”

Mu Beiting commanded, ”Even if you have no appetite, you must eat! Your body is very weak now, you must eat something! After your recovery, you need proper nourishment!”

Ye Anxin blinked, blankly staring at Mu Beiting.

Indeed, it was just her illusion! Uncle was still as bossy as ever, not gentle at all.

Seeing Ye Anxin’s pitiful eyes, even more pitiful than Xiao Bai’s, Mu Beiting stood up, opened the lunch box, and saw that the contents were still warm. He placed it back on the bedside table, helped Ye Anxin sit up against the bed, and began to spoon-feed her the porridge.

Ye Anxin reluctantly ate a few spoonfuls and could eat no more!

Even though her stomach growled with hunger, she couldn’t eat any more; instead, she felt a strong sense of nausea.

”Eat more!” he said as he offered another spoonful to Ye Anxin’s mouth.
