Chapter 250: Chapter 250: The Burning Interstellar Space Station

After confirming the traitor, Zhao Chen and Red Eyes prepared to board the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser and head for the headquarters base of the Bloody Mary Mercenary Corps.

Red Eyes followed Zhao Chen onto the bridge of the T3 Blizzard.

Looking at the luxurious bridge before her, Red Eyes was somewhat taken aback.

She had seen the bridges of T3 interstellar warships before, but she had never encountered one as opulent and beautiful as this.

Moreover, she had personally witnessed the terrifying combat capability of this starship.

She recalled a saying she had once heard:

A good-looking starship isn’t necessarily powerful.

But a truly powerful starship is always exceptionally ”beautiful”!

”This is the coordinate address of our Bloody Mary Mercenary Corps headquarters base,” Red Eyes said, handing a coordinate address to Zhao Chen.

Zhao Chen glanced at Secretary Officer Lilith beside him.

Lilith immediately went to arrange the route.

”This location... is in the interstellar border space between the North Wind Star Domain and the Reef Starfield,” Zhao Chen recognized the coordinates.

”Yes. This position makes it easier to operate within the Stellar Glory Empire,” Red Eyes explained.

”If we head to these coordinates now, it will take about a day,” Zhao Chen noted the concern in Red Eyes’ eyes.

Red Eyes nodded slightly.

At this point, words were useless; she could only pray silently in her heart.

”Do you know which faction was behind this attack?” Zhao Chen inquired.

”I can roughly guess,” Red Eyes replied, seeing Zhao Chen’s curious gaze, she didn’t hide anything: ”It’s the Prince Party of the Stellar Glory Empire.”

”The Prince Party?” Zhao Chen was momentarily stunned.

Red Eyes continued, ”You know there are three princes in the Stellar Glory Empire, right?”

Zhao Chen nodded; he was aware of this information.

The eldest prince was the brother of the Little Princess whom his older sister served, and he was also the Crown Prince of the Stellar Glory Empire, the future emperor.

The other two princes were born to two other consorts.

”The Prince Party I’m referring to is an aristocratic faction formed by the second and third princes of the Stellar Glory Empire. On the surface, it’s an aristocratic party.

But in secret, they engage in all sorts of dirty dealings, one of which is plundering slaves from various regions. Over seventy percent of the slave trade in the Stellar Glory Empire is linked to the Prince Party.

And sometimes, to maintain their network of connections, the Prince Party specifically hunts high-quality interstellar races, such as succubi.”

As she said this, Red Eyes glanced noticeably at Lilith, apparently having sensed that she was a succubus.

”Ordinary slaves are sold on the market.

Although the profits from the slave trade aren’t as high as those from starship arms trade or grain trade, it’s the trade with the lowest cost.”

When speaking of this matter, a look of disgust flashed in Red Eyes’ eyes: ”My younger brother was captured by those slave merchants, but he suffocated in a malfunctioning cargo hold during transport!

So, ever since then, whenever I encounter the slave trade, I do everything I can to stop and sabotage it.

Over the past few years, I’ve disrupted dozens of slave trade operations by the Prince Party. The Prince Party must have vented their anger on their subordinates, and their underlings and henchmen have long wanted to eliminate me.”

It was only because my Bloody Mary Mercenary Corps came and went without a trace that they never had the chance.

I never imagined that in the end, the ones who defeated our Bloody Mary Mercenary Corps would be our comrades-in-arms!”

The Prince Party...

I never expected this to be connected to the royal family of the Stellar Glory Empire.

Soon, the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser began following the route edited by Secretary Officer Lilith, heading toward the designated coordinates.

One day later.

Again, in the pitch-black interstellar border space.

After a day of navigating through various routes, the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser finally arrived near the destination coordinates.

”All ships, enter combat readiness!” Zhao Chen issued the combat readiness order.

Since the Headquarters Base of the Bloody Mary Mercenary Corps had likely already been exposed, there was a possibility of encountering enemies here.

Currently, the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser was not at its peak condition. If it encountered a large enemy fleet, the only option would be to retreat.

Fortunately, thanks to the mobility speed of the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser, no T3-class starship could intercept it.

The starship radar showed no energy fluctuations at all—the silence was eerie!

”Over there!” Red Eyes pointed to a direction on the interstellar radar for Zhao Chen. Although this was interstellar border space with almost no reference points,

Red Eyes was familiar with every region, as if it were her own home.

Before long, Zhao Chen and the others finally spotted a glimmer of light in the dark cosmos.

But the scene that unfolded as the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser drew closer caused both Zhao Chen and Red Eyes to turn pale.

Especially Red Eyes—her crimson eyes burned with uncontrollable rage.

Zhao Chen could even feel the hand gripping the hilt of her sword trembling uncontrollably, the blade itself seeming to emit a faint, resonant hum!

In the distance lay an interstellar space station that had been bombarded. Around the station, clear signs of starship combat were visible, along with the debris of some interstellar warships.

This interstellar space station was not particularly large, roughly equivalent to the combined volume of ten T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruisers.

Moreover, many parts of it were composed of old, worn-out starship hulls!

Looking at the damaged interstellar space station, Zhao Chen could roughly imagine its original appearance.

It was an extremely rudimentary interstellar space station, likely starting with just a main structure and gradually expanding as additional components were added.

After all, the Bloody Mary Mercenary Corps itself was merely an interstellar mercenary group without any territory, completely incapable of truly constructing an interstellar space station.

Many similar nomadic interstellar forces built their bases in this manner.

And now, this once-home of the Bloody Mary Mercenary Corps had been destroyed.

On the ruins of the interstellar space station, the scars of artillery strikes were still visible, along with occasional explosions and flickering flames caused by internal oxygen leaks.

Even some bodies could be seen!

Zhao Chen glanced at Red Eyes beside him—it seemed they had arrived too late.

Judging by the situation before them, it appeared the Bloody Mary Mercenary Corps and its Headquarters Base had been attacked simultaneously.

The most likely possibility is that there are also Traitors within the Headquarters Base.

Working from both inside and out, they directly launched an attack and sabotage against the Bloody Mary Mercenary Corps.

Red Eyes closed her eyes, her teeth clenched tightly as she suppressed the fury burning within her. Blood trickled from the corner of her mouth.

”No!” Suddenly, Red Eyes snapped her eyes open.
