My All-Female Fleet Swept the Galaxy

Chapter 216: Chapter 216: Others May Not Care, But I, Zhao Chen, Do

”Commander, our T3 Andromeda-class Interstellar Medical Ship is equipped with one thousand top-tier medical pods, capable of providing long-term treatment for critical patients.

Additionally, within our starship, patients are categorized into red, yellow, and green treatment zones based on the severity of their injuries.

The red zone is for critical patients who require medical pod treatment.

The yellow zone is for seriously injured patients whose injuries are severe but not life-threatening; they are assigned to medical pods based on their condition.

The green zone is for lightly injured patients who can receive rapid treatment and accommodation in the light injury area.

Apart from the medical pods, we have a total of ten thousand beds for critical patients and one hundred thousand beds for ordinary patients. Each bed is equipped with hibernation pod facilities to ensure that these patients remain unaffected when the starship engages in warp navigation.

There are also centralized large sleeper pods.

Under special circumstances, the T3 Andromeda can carry up to three hundred thousand people for warp navigation.

At the same time, the starship hangar is equipped with a certain number of battlefield unmanned emergency pods, which can transport and rescue critical patients from starships engaged in combat.

They can also provide emergency rescue for starship crew members who escape from destroyed starships using escape pods.” Sister Yang continuously introduced the ship to Zhao Chen along the way.

In truth, Zhao Chen was already very familiar with the T3 Andromeda-class Interstellar Medical Ship.

This was more to satisfy Shen Yan’s curiosity.

”So those are the unmanned emergency pods, right?” Shen Yan happened to see cylindrical objects docked in the hangar through the transparent glass of the corridor.

”Yes. These unmanned emergency pods come in various sizes. The larger ones might be more appropriately called unmanned emergency vessels, while the smaller ones are less than three meters long and can only accommodate one person.

They are equipped with robotic arms inside that can automatically grab patients and place them into the emergency pods.

The outer shell of the emergency pods has protective strength capable of withstanding standard main cannon attacks from T2 Starships.

This is crucial technology for rescuing the wounded on the battlefield!” As Sister Yang explained this, her eyes held a hint of admiration as she looked at Commander Zhao Chen beside her.

From what she knew, this T3 Andromeda-class Interstellar Medical Ship was based on starship technology provided by the commander.

With this technology, the number of combat casualties on the battlefield could be reduced by at least half!

At this moment, Sister Yang received a message from the medical staff responsible for examining Grandma Shen.

Sister Yang looked at Shen Yan, then glanced at Commander Zhao Chen.

”Sister Yang, just tell me directly about Grandma’s condition. Yanzi isn’t afraid!” Shen Yan said firmly.

Zhao Chen nodded slightly.

Sister Yang began to explain Grandma Shen’s condition.

Grandma Shen’s illness was caused by prolonged exposure to a certain radiation element in her work environment, resulting in severe damage to her body.

Prior to this, Grandma Shen had already undergone one round of treatment. Through advanced medical methods, the condition of her internal organs had been largely controlled.

However, the radiation element in her brain could not be completely cleared.

This was the reason why Grandma Shen remained in a state of mental confusion.

”I have one piece of bad news and one piece of good news.

The bad news is that Grandma Shen’s condition is indeed very serious and will be difficult to cure completely in a short period of time.”

Upon hearing this, Shen Yan’s eyes dimmed slightly.

”The good news is that the T3 Andromeda-class Interstellar Medical Ship has the capability to treat her, but it requires a long-term treatment cycle. It is expected to take over a year to fully cure her.

On average, she will need to enter the top-tier medical pod once a week.”

This news from Sister Yang brought Shen Yan both joy and a complex expression.

”I heard from my sister that using this top-tier medical pod once costs tens of thousands of Star Coins...” Shen Yan bit her lip lightly, clearly worried about the treatment expenses.

Zhao Chen patted Shen Yan on the head and smiled. ”You treated me to a meal earlier, so I’ll help your grandmother with her treatment. Let’s call it even.”

Shen Yan looked at Brother Zhao Chen. Though young, she was clever and knew he was selflessly helping her.

That one Nutrition Meal was worth very little.

Her eyes couldn’t help but redden.

”If there are no issues, we can proceed with the first treatment now,” Sister Yang said, looking at Zhao Chen.

”Let’s begin,” Zhao Chen agreed.

”I’ll go make the arrangements. I’ll be back shortly.” Sister Yang left to handle the treatment arrangements for Grandma Shen.

Meanwhile, Zhao Chen took Shen Yan to the Starship Dining Hall of the T3 Andromeda-class Interstellar Medical Ship.

”Can... can I eat all of these?” Shen Yan swallowed hard, staring at the desserts and ice cream in front of her.

She had only seen such things in advertisements.

”They’re all yours,” Zhao Chen said with a smile.

Shen Yan hesitated for a moment. Urged by Zhao Chen that they would melt if she didn’t eat them soon, she finally picked up a spoon and started eating.

”So good...” Shen Yan wore an expression of pure enjoyment, her words slightly slurred from the cold treat.

Amid this pleasant dining moment, hurried footsteps approached.

”Yanzi!”

A familiar voice called out.

Shen Yan looked over to see her sister, Shen Bing, staring at her anxiously.

”Sister!” Shen Yan was startled, then looked like a child caught doing something wrong, fidgeting nervously.

”Don’t blame Yanzi. I asked her to keep it from you.

I thought if I offered to help your grandmother, your pride might not allow you to accept.

So I decided to act first and explain later,” Zhao Chen said, smiling at his former class monitor, Shen Bing.

Shen Bing looked at Zhao Chen, her emotions mixed. ”I... I could have cured Grandma myself...”

”How long would that take? A year? Five years? Or ten?

You can wait, but can Grandma Shen wait?

And I’m treating Grandma Shen not because you, Shen Bing, were my class monitor, but because Grandma Shen is a veteran worthy of respect.

If I hadn’t seen her, perhaps it wouldn’t matter.

But now that I have, if the Empire won’t take care of her, I, Zhao Chen, will!” Zhao Chen said solemnly.

Shen Bing bit her lip lightly. Just as she was about to speak, a voice called out from behind her.

”Bing’er... Yanzi...”

Shen Yan stared in shock behind Shen Bing. ”Grandma...”

Shen Bing turned around, disbelief in her eyes as she watched Grandma Shen, leaning on a cane, walking toward them step by step. Compared to her previously confused expression, her eyes now held much more clarity and spirit.

”Grandma!” Shen Bing covered her mouth in excitement.

During this time, although Grandma Shen had awakened from the freezing pod, she had remained disoriented, muttering about things from the past.

She hadn’t recognized Shen Bing or Shen Yan at all.

Now she could actually call out their names, and those kind eyes were exactly the same as Grandma Shen’s before she fell ill.

”Elder, your body is still very weak. You shouldn’t move around too much.” Sister Yang appeared behind Grandma Shen, pushing a wheelchair, and helped her sit down.

”I just... I just haven’t felt this comfortable in so long... I wanted to walk a little more...” Grandma Shen smiled, then her gaze fell on Zhao Chen, and she said gratefully, ”Was it you... who cured this old woman? Thank you...”

Zhao Chen straightened up, placed his hand over his chest, and saluted in a military manner. ”It is we, the younger generation, who should be thanking you.”

Looking at Zhao Chen’s appearance and movements, Grandma Shen couldn’t help but feel that he resembled the lover she had personally ordered to the frontline to fight bravely in her youth.

The two figures seemed to overlap for a moment.
