Chapter 232: Chapter 232: The ”Overestimating Its Capabilities” T2 Snow Mastiff-class Heavy Interstellar Battleship

T3 Stone Statue-class Medium Interstellar Frigate · Bridge

The Gabo Tribe Leader was aboard this starship, which also served as his flagship.

Among the several factions, the Gabo Tribe was the weakest, so they could only afford to use a relatively inexpensive yet durable and cost-effective interstellar frigate as their flagship.

However, this time, a T2 interstellar battleship had unexpectedly targeted him.

Even though the Gabo Tribe had always been bullied by others, that didn’t mean a single T2 interstellar battleship could push them around!

”Prepare the rapid cannons! How dare a mere T2 starship try to bully my T3 interstellar warship! Do they really think the Gabo Tribe has no temper?” the Gabo Tribe Leader snorted coldly.

The multiple rapid cannons on his T3 Stone Statue-class Medium Interstellar Frigate aimed at the T2 interstellar battleship.

But unexpectedly, the enemy ship’s bow revealed a main cannon!

Seeing the caliber of that main cannon, the Gate Tribe Leader was dumbfounded.

It was clearly an electromagnetic cannon with a caliber of nearly 2000!

Under normal circumstances, only T3-level stellar destroyers were equipped with main cannons of this caliber.

Yet now, such a main cannon had appeared on a T2 interstellar battleship!

This was simply unbelievable.

The Gate Tribe Leader had a bad feeling about this.

”Warning! A group of stellar drones is approaching our ship!”

The sudden warning startled the Gate Tribe Leader.

Upon closer inspection, he saw twenty to thirty stellar drones speeding toward his starship.

”Strange? Where are our stellar drones?” the Gate Tribe Leader exclaimed in surprise.

If he remembered correctly, their fleet had two T2 carrier starships.

”Leader, both of our T2 carrier starships have lost combat capability,” the Adjutant beside him said, opening a screen.

The Gate Tribe Leader looked closely and was shocked to discover that the two T2 carrier starships had become massive wrecks engulfed in flames, their entire hulls resembling ruins battered by countless artillery strikes.

”This...” The Gate Tribe Leader was stunned.

”Never mind! Use our close defense cannons to intercept those stellar drones! It’s only a few dozen units—how much trouble could they possibly cause?” The Gate Tribe Leader had no mind to deal with these small aircraft at the moment.

But the next second, his words were proven wrong.

The dozens of stellar drones dove toward the T2 Stone Statue-class Medium Interstellar Frigate. Leading the charge were the T2 Killer Bee-class medium interstellar drones, covering the five T2 Hornet-class heavy interstellar drones behind them.

As several T2 Killer Bee-class medium interstellar drones were hit and turned into fireballs,

the T2 Hornet-class heavy interstellar drones also entered attack range.

They began dropping their stellar bombs.

These stellar bombs did not target the hull of the T3 Stone Statue-class Medium Interstellar Frigate but instead aimed at its star shield.

”Warning! The starship’s star shield is under attack. Stellar Shield Energy Value remaining: 34%.”

The Gate Tribe Leader was startled. Those few dozen stellar bombs had directly reduced his star shield energy value by at least thirty points.

As for the other losses, they were caused by attacks from the T3 Phantom Sting-class Light Interstellar Stealth Bomber and the T3 Blizzard-class Light Interstellar Battlecruiser.

”Those damn flies!” Clan Chief Gate cursed, but those ”flies” had already returned to base for resupply after deploying their stellar bombs, leaving him fuming helplessly.

”Clan Chief, that T2 interstellar battleship has entered our weapon range!” the Adjutant beside him reminded.

”Then attack that overconfident T2 interstellar battleship!” Clan Chief Gate said angrily. Since your stellar drones escaped, I’ll deal with this T2 starship of yours.

”Yes!”

The medium rapid cannons mounted on the T3 Stone Statue-class Medium Interstellar Frigate began their assault.

However, these attacks were not very effective against the enemy’s T2 interstellar battleship.

They merely left relatively small craters on the frontal armor of the T2 interstellar battleship.

”This starship armor...” Clan Chief Gate was dumbfounded, unsure whether to say the enemy’s starship armor was too strong or his rapid cannons were too weak.

The power of rapid cannons is among the lowest of all types of starship main cannons, but their rate of fire is the fastest.

They are typically equipped on interstellar frigates and stellar cruisers, relying on their high rate of fire to intercept or attack enemy ships.

”But it’s fine. Keep firing a while longer. Sooner or later, we’ll turn this T2 interstellar battleship into scrap metal!” Clan Chief Gate muttered to himself in self-consolation.

”Warning! Front hull armor under attack. Front hull armor strength remaining at 75%...”

Sitting in the captain’s chair, Shen Bing stared intently at the T3 Stone Statue-class Medium Interstellar Frigate across from her.

That’s right—she was the Captain of this T2 Snow Mastiff-class Heavy Interstellar Battleship.

After joining Zhao Chen’s Fierce Dragon Fleet, she had originally thought she would serve as a crew member in a bridge department, at most as an Adjutant or a similar position.

To her surprise, Zhao Chen directly entrusted her with this T2 Snow Mastiff-class Heavy Interstellar Battleship.

It had startled her at the time.

Later, when she familiarized herself with the performance and configuration of this T2 Snow Mastiff-class Heavy Interstellar Battleship, she was even more astonished.

Was this firepower configuration really just that of a T2-level interstellar battleship?

It might as well be a T3 interstellar destroyer—or even a T3 star battleship—disguised as a T2 interstellar battleship!

Although it lacked a star shield, its starship armor was the strongest she had ever seen, second only to that of the T2 Black Rhino-class Interstellar Heavy Assault Frigate.

As for that 1800mm electromagnetic cannon main gun, it was unheard of among T2 starships!

The 1200mm main cannon of the Zero Blizzard had already surprised many people.

And this one was 1800mm!

If the instructors and cadets of the North Star Starship Military Academy saw this, she couldn’t imagine their reactions.

However, since Zhao Chen had entrusted her with such an important responsibility, Shen Bing’s pride would not allow her to betray even the slightest bit of that trust.

Before the battle began, she had studied this T2 Snow Mastiff-class Heavy Interstellar Battleship and the possible interstellar warships the enemy fleet might deploy.

In just a few days, she had familiarized herself with all the active interstellar warships in the Reef Starfield.

She didn’t have the rich combat experience like Charlotte, nor was she a genius like Zhao Wan’er.

As a commoner class belle, all she could do was start early like the clumsy bird!

In the end, after seeing the enemy interstellar fleet before her and learning about Commander Zhao Chen’s strategic deployment plan, she had already settled on her own battle plan in her mind.

At least destroy one T3 Stone Statue-class Medium Interstellar Frigate!

That’s right, even before the battle began, she had set herself the goal of eliminating one T3 Stone Statue-class Medium Interstellar Frigate.

And now, the target was right before her eyes.

The T2 Queen Bee-class Heavy Carrier Starship had also carried out a round of bombardment on the enemy ship’s star shield as she requested. Although it didn’t directly destroy the shield, it was still within her planned scope.

”The Stellar Shield Energy Value of the T3 Stone Statue-class Medium Interstellar Frigate is probably down to less than 35% by now,” Shen Bing muttered to herself.

As for the attacks her ship hull was currently enduring, she wasn’t the least bit flustered.

She knew that the Rapid Cannons equipped on the T3 Stone Statue-class Medium Interstellar Frigate would need to sustain fire for nearly five minutes to breach the Starship Armor of the T2 Snow Mastiff-class Heavy Interstellar Battleship.

Five minutes... that was more than enough time for her to take down this T3 interstellar frigate.

”All six Pulse Laser Secondary Cannons, open fire now!

In twenty seconds, the Snow Mastiff Electromagnetic Main Cannon will fire!” Shen Bing calmly issued the firing orders!
