Journey to Planar World

The moment the four white vans sped forward, crashing and forcing their way through the iron gates of Seijo High School, it was like an explosion scene from a Hollywood action movie.

The sound of the crumpled metal clanging instantly shattered the quiet of that afternoon and drew the attention of the people who happened to be around the school’s outer area.

Several pedestrians, housewives out shopping, and even motorcycle riders spontaneously halted their activities and gathered near the perimeter fence, curious about what had just happened.

However, that curiosity turned to horror within a matter of seconds.

Right before their very own eyes, the crowd of onlookers outside witnessed the body of the school’s middle-aged security guard collapse, wallowing in blood after a bullet pierced his head.

Witnessing a bloody murder that happened so quickly, the people outside the gate instantly turned deathly pale.

A wave of mass fear swept over them; they turned around chaotically, elbowing one another, and fled as fast as possible to save their own lives.

Seeing the mass panic of those civilians, the masked criminals who had just stepped down from the vans felt amused instead.

The psychopathic and cruel soul typical of drug cartels embedded within their beings suddenly surged violently, witnessing the chaotic sight in front of them.

”Ha Ha Ha... Brothers, give these Asian midgets a lesson they will never forget in their lives!” One of the muscular shooters exclaimed while racking his assault rifle fiercely.

”Oh yeah! Take this, you insects!” His partner on the other side chimed in, having been unable to wait to release some stress.

”Hasta la vista, baby!” Another criminal shouted, mimicking a famous movie quote with a mocking accent.

*TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA!*

Bursts of gunfire from American-made M-series automatic assault rifles instantly barked brutally, tearing through the air with a deafening sound.

The criminals raised their weapons high, laughing out loud without the slightest moral burden while showering the crowd of people running outside the fence with flashes of hot bullets.

The whizzing of bullets darted, ripping through the clothes and flesh of anyone who was unlucky that day.

After unleashing several brutal bursts of gunfire that resulted in screams of agony outside the gate, the masked criminals did not even bother to check how many casualties fell because of their actions.

With casual footsteps, the group of armed men turned around and walked directly inside toward the main corridor of the Seijo High School building.

Jack had indeed emphasized inside the car that letting the students remain alive as hostages was an absolute thing for their escape.

He also established that the students at best could only be beaten, struck, or kicked if they did something stupid, but not killed.

However, on the other hand, Jack had never said it was forbidden to kill innocent strangers gathering outside the perimeter of their operation.

Moreover, for this infiltration mission, they were specifically equipped with an extraordinarily abundant amount of logistics.

They brought a total of one hundred thousand rounds of ammunition, which on average meant each person held around five thousand bullets.

With a supply of bullets that large in a country with minimal weapons, how could these criminals, who were accustomed to turf wars in Mexico, not utilize the moment to have fun and unleash their killing instincts?

Jack walked in the middle row while taking a deep drag of the cigarette between his lips. One of his hands held a heavy-caliber pistol casually.

Seeing the behavior of his subordinates who had just riddled the school’s outer street until it was completely ruined, the one-eyed man had no intention at all of giving a harsh reprimand or handing down disciplinary punishment.

He only cast a brief glance, then grumbled softly.

”Tsk. Just a bunch of trouble-making bastards!”

Meanwhile, the echo of the deafening gunfire was impossible to be ignored by anyone.

Inside the classrooms of Seijo High School, the course of teaching and learning activities instantly stopped completely.

The students, who were previously focusing on taking notes or listening to explanations on the blackboard, simultaneously turned their heads right away toward the outside of the windows with expressions full of question marks.

When their eyes looked down toward the school yard and the main gate, the sight presented instantly made their blood circulation feel as though it stopped flowing.

They saw twenty exceedingly tall and muscular men, dressed in full black tactical gear with terrifying face masks, walking inside while slinging long-barreled firearms after carrying out an indiscriminate slaughter outside the fence.

In that exact instant, the minds of all the students inside the classroom went blank and dazed. Their teenage souls were not ready to process that kind of horrifying visualization.

Even the teachers who were teaching in front of the podiums were no exception; the chalk in their hands slipped and fell, breaking onto the floor, while their bodies trembled violently with wide eyes.

What exactly was happening here?

Terrorists?

Their common sense refused to believe it.

This was Tokyo, Japan! This was not a Middle Eastern region often plagued by civil war or an unstable armed conflict territory!

Japan was a developed country recognized by the international community as one of the safest, most peaceful countries with the strictest firearm controls in the entire world!

How could a group of armed terrorists enter their school in broad daylight?

However, the tragic sight of dozens of corpses lying stiffly on the ground with pools of fresh blood that continued to widen was a reality.

No matter how hard they denied it, no matter how strongly they thought of this as just a nightmare or a documentary film shoot, the pungent smell of gunpowder and the echoes of screams outside showed very clearly that death had now truly come lurking beneath their building.

”Kyaaaaaaaa!! Terrorists! There are people carrying guns downstairs!!”

The hysterical scream of a female student in the front row instantly shattered the tense silence inside the classroom.

Like a domino effect, the sound of that scream directly triggered an extraordinary mass panic across all corners of the room.

”A lie... this must be a lie, right?! Why are people being shot?! Someone please say this is just a joke!” A male student shouted with a trembling voice, his face turning drastically pale while his hands shook violently as he tried to fish out a cell phone from inside his pants pocket.

The atmosphere inside the classroom instantly changed drastically into uncontrollable hysteria and fear.

The female students began to cry their hearts out, hugging each other tightly in the corners of the room with bodies shivering from fear.

Several male students who lost their minds due to panic reflexively jumped from their benches, overturning study desks to be used as emergency barricades in front of the classroom’s thin sliding door, hoping that fragile wood could withstand the onslaught of bullets.

”Do not go near the windows! Everyone duck! Get down on the floor right now!!” The classroom teacher shouted with the remnants of his bravery, trying to bring order to his students even though his own voice sounded shaking violently because of an extreme amount of fear.

In the corridor outside the classroom, the sound of the footsteps of hundreds of panicked students from other classes began to be heard thudding chaotically, scattering to look for hiding places.

Sobs, cries of fear, and the sound of falling objects answered one another across all corners of the Seijo High School building, creating a dark symphony of despair on that peaceful afternoon.
