The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 1434: Chapter 1434: Until We Meet Again

In the cafeteria hall, Ji You and others received the news and were all stunned, they looked up at the other students in the hall, obviously the other students had also received it.

”What’s going on?”

”Why did the competition suddenly end?”

”They didn’t say the reason.”

”Did something happen?”

”Quickly contact the mentors.”

...

The authorities only released the news of the competition ending, without explaining the reason, which made it even more puzzling and more worrying.

Ji You put down her chopsticks and said, ”I’ll ask Principal Hong.”

Principal Hong and Dr. Luo were the mentors leading this team, Principal Hong was responsible for technical guidance, and Dr. Luo was responsible for the students’ health issues, but—

Both were hands-off leaders; once arriving at Nami Star, they disappeared. However, Ji You and the others were used to being left on their own, so they didn’t feel uncomfortable, eating and drinking as usual, and once entering the competition, they went all out without much talk.

Chu Jiaojiao and others had no objections to Ji You’s suggestion, they just put down their chopsticks and watched her.

Ji You was about to dial when she suddenly received a call from Principal Hong.

Principal Hong’s voice carried a rare seriousness, asking, ”Where are you all?”

Ji You’s heart froze, she said, ”In the West District Cafeteria.”

Principal Hong said, ”Quickly gather at the West Gate.”

Ji You was taken aback, ”Huh? Principal, do you mean now?”

Principal Hong nodded, ”Yes.”

Ji You didn’t ask further, swiftly said, ”Okay. I’ll bring everyone to gather at the West Gate right now.”

Principal Hong hung up, and throughout the conversation with Ji You, he didn’t turn on video communication, so no one knew what was happening on Principal Hong’s side, specifically what the situation was.

Ji You looked at the others and said, ”You all heard that, right? We need to set off quickly.”

Chu Jiaojiao’s eyes flickered, ”Yes.”

Yue Qiguang stood up, and said, ”Let’s go.”

Shen Changqing, Yue Qiyuan, Sheng Qingyan, and others also stood up. Not only their group from Lanyue Star Military Academy, but many students from other schools in the cafeteria stopped eating suddenly, hurriedly packed their bowls and chopsticks, and at that moment stood up and walked out of the cafeteria hall.

Ji You’s heart suddenly tightened.

This situation made people feel very tense, with a sense of impending doom, everyone seemed anxious to escape, but hopefully, it was just her imagination.

A few steps out, a tall and upright figure came forward, Ji You looked up and saw it was He Nu, immediately smiled and said, ”Wang Qiang, what a coincidence.”

He Nu: ”...”

Still acting?

But He Nu wasn’t angry, he looked at Ji You, his dark eyes carrying a hint of smile, said, ”Ji You, I’m here to say goodbye. Because we’re about to return to Akya Planet.”

Behind He Nu was a group of girls, each with hair flowing like waterfalls, tall stature, slim waists and long legs, the kind of physique Ji You especially admired.

This group of girls stood behind He Nu, eyes firmly fixed on Ji You, it seemed nothing else caught their attention, their beautiful dark eyes sparkling with light: ”Hello, Ji You.”

”Ji You, thank you for taking care of He Nu.”

”Ji You, nice to meet you.”

”Ji You...”

The Akya Military Academy was built on a star rich with rain and sunlight resources, known for its Agricultural School, and the Military Academy was established less than ten years ago. Local youth with slightly better combat talent mostly applied to military academies on other planets, resulting in a severe gender imbalance at Akya Military Academy, with more females than males. This time, Akya Military Academy sent He Nu as the only male to compete.

No one from Akya Military Academy held high hopes for this competition, but unexpectedly, after teaming up with Ji You, He Nu received her attention and fully expressed his talents and combat skills, unexpectedly securing 8th place on the overall points list!

8th place!

Previously, they wouldn’t even have dared dream of such a rank.

The nine girls who competed alongside him were early eliminated, they and their school’s teachers watched He Nu’s competition the whole time, seeing his points increase little by little, feeling extremely excited and happy inside.

So, before leaving, He Nu proposed to his mentors to say goodbye to Ji You, and the nine girls all came along. They wanted to sincerely say thank you to Ji You.

Suddenly, Ji You found herself surrounded by nine enthusiastic, pretty girls, feeling a bit overwhelmed, and each girl handed her a gift.

Some gave flowers, some snacks, some weapons, and even plant seeds were gifted...

Receiving these bags of plant seeds, Ji You looked awkward and said, ”Um... I... I really can’t farm.”

She had the heart for farming, but no land to farm on.

Nowadays, although land is everywhere, most areas are highly irradiated, making it impossible to grow natural crops. Even if grown, they won’t meet edible standards; only a few agricultural stars have conditions to cultivate natural crops, which is why natural food is so precious.

The girl who gave her plant seeds seemed aware of this, she smiled gently and said, ”It’s okay, if you can’t, I can teach you, I’ll guide you through the whole process. By the way, Ji You, what’s your contact number?”

Other girls heard this and immediately widened their eyes: ”!!!”

You can do that?

How sly!

Why didn’t they think of it?

Then—

The girls chattered, ”Ji You, I can teach you too, I studied horticulture, add me.”

”Add me, I’m not only skilled in horticulture, but also in animal husbandry. The rabbits I raise are well-known on Akya Planet, both chubby and strong.”

”And add me, though I’m not great at horticulture or animal husbandry, I’m good at cooking. The key is I want to feed Ji You, Ji You is too short and too thin, must not be eating well, resulting in poor nutrition.”

Ji You: ”...”

Hearing the last sentence, Ji You’s hand shook, almost dropped what she held, but facing the girls’ requests, Ji You naturally wouldn’t refuse, so in a matter of seconds, she added their contact numbers.

The girls knew time was tight, once getting the contact number and friend requests accepted, they no longer surrounded Ji You. He Nu stepped forward seriously and said, ”Ji You, we received notification from the mentors to return to school immediately, I guess you did too?”

Ji You said, ”We received instructions to gather, whether we return to school or not is still unknown.”

He Nu said, ”This farewell, not knowing when we will meet again. Ji You, thank you for your care and guidance, I hope you visit Akya Planet, I will host you sincerely, goodbye!”

Ji You smiled, seriously said, ”He Nu, until we meet again.”
