Wrong Flirt, Right Trouble: His Uncle Pulls Me Close

However, Nina Scott still didn’t understand. How could Thea Sherwood possibly have a way to threaten Timothy Sherwood?

”Come on, spill the details.” Nina Scott looked ready for some gossip.

Although she and Nina Scott were good friends, this was someone else’s affair, and Ivy Sherwood didn’t feel right treating it as gossip to share with her.

”Timothy Sherwood is getting on in years. It’s only natural he should step down,” Ivy Sherwood said, making something up on the spot.

Nina Scott took her at her word. ”But Timothy Sherwood isn’t that old, is he?”

”Didn’t your family already pass the position of Family Head to your brother?”

”That’s true.” Nina Scott didn’t think any more of it.

”I’ve been so bored lately, Ivy. How about we find some time to go on a trip?”

”Where do you want to go?”

”Anywhere is fine. I’d really like to go to Aethelgard and experience the fast-paced life there.”

”If I had the time, I’d definitely go with you. It’s just a shame I’m rather busy these days.”

”I know, I know.” Nina Scott was very understanding. ”Let’s go together when we get a chance in the future!”

”Okay,” Ivy Sherwood agreed.

Something occurred to Nina Scott, and she said, ”Oh, by the way, Ivy, my brother told me there’s going to be a car race. Should we go together?”

”Car racing?” Ivy Sherwood’s eyes lit up.

She actually quite liked car racing and heavy-duty motorcycles—they were thrilling sports. It was just a shame she rarely had the chance to indulge.

Not even Nina Scott knew that Ivy Sherwood was an excellent racer. In addition to racing, she could also ride horses, shoot, and do other sports, but Ivy never revealed any of it.

”Yeah, let’s go check it out together.”

Ivy Sherwood was a little tempted. ”Who all will be there?”

If there were too many people, she wouldn’t go. She wanted to avoid running into any more trouble.

”My brother said there shouldn’t be many people; it’s not some major racing event.”

”Okay,” Ivy Sherwood agreed.

”My brother’s an amazing driver! When the time comes, he can drive you, and you guys can take first place!”

”That won’t be necessary. I’d like to drive myself,” Ivy Sherwood tactfully declined.

”That works too. Then it’s settled!”

...

For the past two days, Cheryl Yates had been spending nearly all her time at the club, hanging out with her girlfriends.

Besides her girlfriends, there were also a few wealthy young men, all of whom spoke to Cheryl Yates in soft, hushed tones.

Cheryl Yates was Lustre’s number one socialite. People usually looked up to her, eager to put her on a pedestal, yet she wouldn’t even deign to give them a second glance.

But in front of Quentin Blackwood, she offered her heart freely, only for him to not even spare her a glance. This was a great humiliation to Cheryl Yates’s pride.

Only in situations like this, watching those men fawn over her just for a chance to say a single word, could her heart be filled with a great sense of vanity and satisfaction.

’She was the great young lady, high and mighty.’

’She was the number one socialite. So many people were desperate just for a glance, for a single word with her.’

’She was charming. Quentin Blackwood was just blind.’

Late that night, as Cheryl Yates was getting ready to leave, someone extended an invitation. ”Cheryl, let me drive you home?”

However, Cheryl Yates looked down on him completely. ”Who the hell do you think you are? You’re worthy of driving me?”

After being insulted like that, the man naturally wouldn’t stick around to be snubbed again.

He spat on the ground under his breath. ’Cheryl Yates is so arrogant. She’ll get what’s coming to her one day.’

The moment Cheryl Yates got in the car, she realized something was wrong. ’Why are there so many people in here?’

The driver wasn’t hers. Besides the people in the driver’s seat and the front passenger seat, there were two more men in the back.

Cheryl Yates was terrified. ”Who are you? What do you want?!”

She tried to pull the door handle again, but found the doors were locked tight. She couldn’t open them at all.

The next second, a hand clamped over her mouth, and another person started tearing off her dress.

Cheryl Yates struggled, but she was no match for these burly men.

With her mouth covered, she could only let out muffled whimpers. ”MMPH... MMPH...”

The car’s soundproofing was excellent; no sound could be heard from the outside. Even if someone passed by and saw movement in the car, they would just assume it was some impatient people from the club, fooling around inside.

How could Cheryl Yates be a match for so many people? She didn’t even have a chance to resist before her dress was stripped off, leaving her stark naked.

The men took out their phones and snapped pictures of her from every angle. However, they didn’t do anything else to her. It was more like a warning.

Once they were done taking pictures, the men released Cheryl Yates. Before leaving, they spoke to her.

”Our Miss said to stay away from Quentin Blackwood. He’s not someone you can covet. If there’s a next time, we’ll post your photos directly online for everyone to admire your body.”

”If you still don’t learn your lesson, it won’t be as simple as just taking a few pictures.”

After delivering their threat, the men got out of the car and left.

Cheryl Yates hadn’t yet snapped out of her shock. When she finally processed what had happened, she realized that not only had several men seen her naked, but they had also taken photos of her.

She didn’t even have a boyfriend; no one had ever seen her body. And today, she had been...

She picked up her torn dress and tried to put it on, but it could no longer cover her body. Cheryl Yates started to cry.

’Who on earth did this? Who would dare to treat her this way!’

’Who in Lustre would have such nerve?’

’Those people told her to stay away from Quentin Blackwood. Could it be Ivy Sherwood?’

’The only one who opposed her was Ivy Sherwood. She had to find out the truth. If Ivy Sherwood was really behind this, she and Ivy Sherwood would be mortal enemies!’

...

In the most luxurious hotel room in Lustre, Joy Sheridan lay on a chaise longue while one person did her nails and another gave her a beauty treatment. It was a picture of leisurely comfort.

Soon, someone knocked and entered. ”Miss Sheridan, everything you ordered has been taken care of.”

Joy Sheridan opened her eyes. ”Were the photos all taken?”

”Yes.”

”Bring it here and let me see.”

The person immediately handed over their phone. Joy Sheridan flipped through a couple of photos and lost interest. ”You may go.”

’She wouldn’t let a single woman who dared to covet her man get away with it. That girl, Cheryl Yates, really didn’t know her place. Hasn’t she looked in a mirror? How could she possibly be worthy?’

In Aethelgard, Joy Sheridan had already dealt with plenty of women who foolishly tried to get close to Quentin Blackwood in this very manner.

Those people knew it was Joy Sheridan’s doing, but they didn’t dare to make it public.

Many people in Aethelgard knew of Joy Sheridan’s methods, so naturally, no one dared to compete with her for a man.

Joy Sheridan’s eyes showed her absolute determination to win. Quentin Blackwood could only be hers!

”Miss, since you’ve already come to Lustre, why haven’t you gone to see Mr. Blackwood yet?” The speaker was one of the attendants who was always by Joy Sheridan’s side.

Even though Miss Sheridan had snuck out, she had still brought a large retinue with her.

Joy Sheridan smiled. Her face was undeniably beautiful, but it held a predatory edge.

”No rush. I want to be dressed at my best when I go. I want him to see me at my most beautiful.”
