Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 449: Chapter 278: A Man’s Happy Castle

”Lin Chu, what are you doing? An’an and I wanted to grab dinner with you tonight.”

After spending about two hours with Gu Jiayan at a hotel near the airport—where he taught her everything he knew—Lin Chu headed straight for the airport. He casually bought a ticket to Shen City and was waiting for his flight when he received a message from Zhou Luan.

”I’m out. On a business trip.”

Lin Chu replied casually, a smile playing on his lips.

At this time of year, the only place in the country to enjoy sunny beaches was Lu City. The alternative was the Southern Hemisphere, but going abroad required a visa, and he couldn’t be bothered to get one at the last minute. So, on a whim, Lin Chu chose the complete opposite and headed straight for the Northeast.

As someone born and bred in Guangdong Province, he had never even seen snow. His entire image of the Northeast was pieced together from what he’d seen online.

’He fantasized about the lifestyle: skiing down snowy mountains during the day, soaking in a large bathhouse at night, with every kind of food, drink, and amusement at his fingertips. It would be his own version of holing up for the winter.’

’He had no immediate career goals, and all his business ventures were in a quiet growth phase. It was the perfect time to go out and play.’

Zhou Luan: ”?”

”What is wrong with you? Today was the opening ceremony, such an important day, and you bailed the second it was over? What kind of client is this?”

she replied, a little indignant.

She had come back specifically for this, even dragging An Yunzhi along. She didn’t have any other intentions; she just wanted to show her support for the club’s opening ceremony.

After what had happened last time, she considered her relationship with Lin Chu to be one of ”very good friends.”

More than friends, but not quite lovers.

In fact, because nothing had ever happened between them and all their past conflicts had been resolved, their relationship was now a very comfortable one.

She just hadn’t expected Lin Chu to slip away like this.

Lin Chu replied with a smile, ”I’m a hardworking man, you know. Unlike you idle, second-generation rich kids.”

Lin Chu got a thrill from being such a cheeky bastard.

Zhou Luan: ”Where are you going for this business trip, then?”

”That’s grown-up business. Little kids shouldn’t pry. Anyway, my plane is about to take off. Bye-bye.”

Lin Chu decisively ended the conversation.

Zhou Luan: ”...”

In the car, she waved her phone and shrugged at An Yunzhi, who was sitting beside her. ”He’s on a business trip and won’t even say where. Heh, that dog. You don’t think I hurt his feelings, do you? Is he avoiding me now?”

An Yunzhi smiled demurely and teased, ”Oh, please. You’re clearly the one who can’t stop thinking about him, yet you insist it’s the other way around. You can try to fool me, but don’t fool yourself.”

”Why, you! An’an!”

Zhou Luan started tickling her with a laugh.

An Yunzhi quickly surrendered with a laugh. ”I was wrong, I was wrong! Sister Luan, you’re absolutely stunning! Lin Chu is just ashamed of his own inadequacy. He can’t have you, so he’s developed an inferiority complex out of frustration. He’s so intimidated he doesn’t even dare to have dinner with you!”

Only then did Zhou Luan nod in satisfaction, letting out a soft hmph.

”So, what’s the plan? What should we eat tonight? Since Lin Chu’s not here, should I call Kang Hao?”

An Yunzhi rolled her eyes at her.

”You wouldn’t dare.”

”It’ll just be the two of us then... Or we could wait for Zishu to finish her competition and eat with her.”

Zhou Luan thought about the suggestion for a moment and agreed.

”Alright, then. Let’s do that.”

...

About five hours later, the plane landed in Shen City.

At the arrivals gate, Xue Xiaojun was already waiting with two gorgeous female streamers.

LC Media’s Shen City branch was already up and running, and the company was operating normally. As a company veteran and a fellow Northeast native from the same hometown as Zhang Peng, Xue Xiaojun had been sent to head the branch office.

’The big boss is coming to Shen City...’

The news had come as quite a surprise to Xue Xiaojun; he had only found out just before the plane took off.

Nevertheless, he now felt a stir of excitement.

’Even though I’m not senior enough to be in the inner circle, I can see what kind of person Brother Chu is just by looking at Brother Peng.’

’This wave of immense fortune is finally about to crash down on me.’

Suddenly, his phone rang.

Glancing at the screen, he saw it was Zhang Peng. Xue Xiaojun answered immediately.

”President Zhang. I’m at the airport now. Brother Chu’s flight has landed, and I figure he’s on his way out.”

”Mm, good. Thanks for taking care of this. Make sure everything’s arranged perfectly. You lucky dog, stumbling into an opportunity like this.”

”Haha, I guess the gods are smiling on me. Are you coming back for this?”

”It’s too busy over here, so I can’t make it back for now. Just focus on being a good host. All expenses can be reimbursed by the company. Don’t screw this up. This is your chance, so grab it and show Brother Chu what you can do.”

Zhang Peng gave a few more instructions before hanging up.

Just then, Xue Xiaojun saw Lin Chu emerge from the arrivals corridor. Dressed in a black overcoat, he had the air of a movie star.

He was absolutely radiating charisma. ℯℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

His gait was leisurely, his posture ramrod straight.

”President Lin!”

Holding a brand-new down jacket, Xue Xiaojun quickly walked up to greet him, his face wreathed in smiles.

Lin Chu took the down jacket and draped it over his shoulders. It was indeed a bit cold. He smiled and nodded. ”This is very thoughtful.”

Despite the rude awakening from the cold upon arriving in a strange city, Lin Chu felt an irrepressible excitement bubbling up inside him, down to every cell in his body.

’This novelty felt like meeting an interesting, beautiful girl for the first time.’

’It was just that meeting new girls didn’t give him that same intense thrill anymore.’

’Thankfully, there was still travel.’

”President Lin, would you like to go to the company first, or get something to eat?”

”I haven’t booked your hotel yet, since I didn’t have your ID number.”

Xue Xiaojun said enthusiastically. When it came to social etiquette, he was a natural.

”Let’s eat.”

”Iron pot stewed goose, a few drinks, and then hit the bathhouse and sauna for the night. We won’t even have to leave.”
