Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 408: Chapter 262: Bro, You Smell So Good

An idea suddenly struck Lin Chu, and he spoke casually.

There was no particular reason.

He just felt like throwing money around.

He’d actually considered starting a food delivery company just to burn through cash, but since there were no real business opportunities, he had dropped the idea.

Now, this felt a bit like a piece of performance art.

Mainly, he felt compelled to say something shocking. He just wanted to create some hype!

He was giving away straight cash with no rebates, but he didn’t give a damn. With over six billion, how was he supposed to spend it all?

Hearing Lin Chu’s words, Qin Weiliang was completely dumbfounded.

Huh?

Holy shit!

This is insane.

’Am I crazy? Or is he?’

The tens of thousands of viewers in the stream chat were also completely floored. What the hell was going on?

”See! I knew it! He’s definitely putting on a show!”

”Hey, delivery guy, look around! Are there any hidden cameras? The content from this is going to be explosive!”

”Clout-chasing streamer randomly throwing away money—a million bucks!”

Lin Chu glanced at the bullet comments and smiled. ”Come on, introduce yourself to everyone. Tell us your name, share your story, and then take the million. Think about how you’ll spend it, what direction your destiny will take.”

By now, Lin Chu’s control over the stream’s pacing, while not yet perfected, was certainly well-practiced.

Qin Weiliang swallowed hard.

It was only then that he fully realized Lin Chu was being absolutely serious!

One million!

’I’m actually getting it, just like that!’

Facing the livestream camera, he took a deep breath and said excitedly, ”Hey folks, my name is Qin Weiliang. I’m a local here in North Sea. As you can see, I’m a delivery driver. Uh, 28 years old. I used to be in the restaurant business, but it went under, so I started delivering food.”

”Heh heh.”

”Hahaha, I can’t—I can’t hold it in! This is like a pie falling from the sky! I’m so excited. It’s like, you know, have you guys played Fantasy Westward Journey? It’s like winning a Star Snatch and having a Divine Weapon drop.”

As he told his story, the atmosphere in the stream instantly heated up.

”If this isn’t scripted, then I’m officially jealous!”

”Move aside, let me have a turn!”

”Brother Chu! Daddy!”

”When are you coming to my city!”

”I want a million too!”

”66666, this streamer really knows how to make content.”

”Stay safe, man! Watch out for kidnappers!”

The comments were all over the place.

This kind of once-in-a-lifetime windfall was truly enviable.

When luck came knocking for Qin Weiliang, there was no stopping it. It was enough to make anyone jealous.

”Holy shit, bros, stop flaming me, hahaha, seriously, stop! I... what am I supposed to do? I just wanted to treat him to a meal because I won a Huawei phone from his stream last time. Who would have thought he’d offer me a million bucks!”

”My heart is racing right now, I’m panicking like crazy. I’ve never even found money on the street in my entire life—in fact, I’ve lost plenty. And now... heh heh, heh heh...”

Qin Weiliang was grinning like an idiot.

And yet, it came across as a bit of a humblebrag.

Lin Chu glanced at him, then noticed the viewer count on the stream was skyrocketing. It was already over fifty thousand, a terrifyingly fast increase.

This rate of growth was even faster than when he paid for promotions and bought traffic.

For a moment, Lin Chu was also a bit speechless.

Previously, during his daily streams, he would spend millions on promotions and virtual gifts.

That money, of course, all went to line the pockets of the internet giants.

And now...

”Alright, let’s change the subject. Tell me, if you had a million, how would you spend it?”

Lin Chu decided to dig deeper into this topic.

Cause and effect.

Entanglements.

Favors and feuds.

Until the dust settles, no one could know if this was a good thing or a bad thing.

There were plenty of stories about people who got rich overnight only to have their lives ruined by it.

Strictly speaking, this went against the natural order of things.

He was forcibly intervening in someone else’s life.

But...

Who could possibly refuse?

”Hiss... Damn, let me think. For a guy whose entire life savings is only thirty-six thousand, this is a really tough question.”

”I’d probably... give my parents two hundred thousand for their retirement. Mmm, and then save two hundred thousand for my sister’s education. Out of the remaining six hundred thousand, I’d put five hundred thousand into a fixed deposit and keep a hundred thousand to spend on myself.”

”Is that alright?”

Qin Weiliang scratched his head, a little embarrassed, and looked at Lin Chu with sparkling eyes.

He was also a little apprehensive.

’What if he decides not to give me the money?’

In the stream chat, a flood of comments appeared.

”Damn, you’re a genuinely good dude!”

”Aging parents, a sister in school, and a hardworking self, huh? Why does that sob story sound so familiar?”

”Brother Chu, he’s lying to you! He’s lying! Tell him to get lost and let me lie to you instead! If I got a million, I’d definitely donate it to the country!”

”Bros, pick me! If I get a million, I’ll give nine hundred thousand to you guys and only keep a hundred thousand for myself! I’m begging you!”

Lin Chu clinked glasses with Qin Weiliang, tilted his head back, and drained his in one go.

He didn’t comment on the plan.

It was good enough.

He didn’t bother trying to figure out if it was the truth or a lie.

How he chose to spend it was his own business.

”Alright, let me say a couple of things,” Lin Chu began. ”The stream has over a hundred thousand viewers now. I’m giving you a million, and you don’t owe me anything for it. Think of it as an appearance fee. Isn’t this content absolutely explosive? Think of how much I’m saving on buying traffic!”

”That’s the first thing: you don’t owe me.”

”Second, be careful and keep a level head. Don’t let my good intentions lead to disaster, alright? If you get hooked on vices like drinking and gambling, then the fault will be mine.”

Lin Chu stared intently at him, his tone becoming somewhat grave.

Qin Weiliang was taken aback.

He nodded solemnly.

”Brother, I get it. Don’t worry, I won’t let it get to my head. I’ll still be delivering food. I’ll just feel a lot more secure.”
