Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 405: Chapter 261: Even a Dog on a Leash Can Be Chairman

The call connected.

”I sent you my account info for the OA system. Anything that needs money, just approve it all.”

Lin Chu said casually.

To hell with the money!

Spend it. Spend it like there’s no tomorrow. How much could you possibly spend?

A few million, a few tens of millions... Don’t bother me with such trivial matters, alright?

Hearing this, Gu Jiayan was momentarily taken aback.

”You... Where did you go?”

”Nowhere special. Just out clearing my head. You just approve everything. The company will run fine. Any dog could do the chairman’s job. It’s not like you have to do a damn thing...”

Lin Chu said with an incredibly relaxed laugh.

Gu Jiayan was speechless.

’What kind of thing is that to say?’

’Who insults themselves like that?’

”Are you okay?”

She couldn’t help but ask again, her tone tinged with worry.

Lin Chu laughed and cursed, ”What are you, Yang Mi? ’Are you okay?’ I’m fine, don’t worry! That’s all. I’ll be back on October 6th for the start of the golf tournament. That’s my time to shine, so of course I have to be there.”

”Oh. Okay, fine.”

Gu Jiayan sighed softly and could only agree resignedly. She paused for a moment before adding, ”The approval for our charitable foundation should be coming through soon. The civil affairs department called me today to ask a few final questions.”

She had been following up on this for almost three months, and it was finally getting approved.

”Great. You handle it. Just tell me how much money you need, and I’ll wire it to you.”

Lin Chu replied nonchalantly.

”For the first project, I’m planning to fund aid for hearing-impaired children. We have some experience in this area, after all, and we have channels for equipment and hospitals, so we can get the lowest possible prices.”

”Sounds good. You’re in charge. I’m all for it. How about an annual budget of one hundred million? Is that enough?”

Hearing this, Gu Jiayan fell silent for a moment. When she spoke again, her voice was tinged with emotion. ”Won’t that... affect the company’s cash flow?”

”What the hell does it matter? That’s not something you need to worry about, my dear Female Bodhisattva. You just focus on being a saint.”

Lin Chu teased her with a laugh and then casually hung up.

Then, he dialed Liu Junfeng.

”Old Liu, find me two people: a CEO and a CFO. Get them to manage the company’s daily operations and financial expenditures. Let’s start with a one-year trial period to see how they do.”

”You’re vouching for whoever you find. If they don’t work out, I’m holding you responsible.”

This was one of the company’s lingering issues. It was best to deal with it as soon as possible.

The guiding principle was to have a high tolerance for trial-and-error costs and to grow aggressively.

”Holy shit, you’re leaving this to me too?”

Liu Junfeng was dumbfounded. These two positions were arguably the most important in the entire company. How could Lin Chu be so trusting?

He had absolutely no desire for power or any sense of caution.

”Like I said, you’re vouching for them. If something goes wrong, I’ll definitely come after you. But really, it’s no big deal. A company is temporary. If this one goes under, we’ll just start another one. Brotherhood is for life. I trust you.”

Lin Chu knew all about checks and balances on power, but objectively speaking, it really wasn’t a big deal.

He wasn’t going to be like some petty nouveau riche, jealously guarding his little plot of land, terrified someone might take advantage of him.

To him, money was just a number.

Liu Junfeng let out a deep breath. ”Damn, that’s a mountain of pressure. I’m honestly freaking out. Why don’t you reconsider? What if I bring in some incompetent fool? I’d be so embarrassed.”

”No way, the responsibility is too great. I’m scared. How about this: for finance, you get a woman to do it. You have plenty of girlfriends, anyway. For the CEO, I’ll find someone with a solid reputation, a big name—you know, a top-tier professional who’s super capable. With a few of the old-timers around, nothing major can go wrong. Even if the person is a bit mediocre, they won’t be able to embezzle our money.”

He suggested a compromise with a laugh.

’What Lin Chu just said was terrifying.’

”Then you handle the finances for now, and find a CEO later. Where the hell am I supposed to find a girlfriend on such short notice? Like some idiot’s going to let a girl in her twenties be the CFO just because she’s pretty? She’d have to be at least forty, right? You into forty-year-old aunties? Trying to experience some motherly love, are you?”

Lin Chu retorted with a laugh.

Liu Junfeng immediately started snorting with laughter.

After a couple of laughs, he agreed. ”Alright, fine. I’ll look around. Hey... what are you up to?”

”A road trip. Across the whole country.”

Lin Chu said with a joyous laugh.

”Holy shit!”

”You’re such an asshole!”

”You motherfucker! You just dropped this whole pile of company shit on us and took off on a road trip? Be a decent human being, will you? I quit! I’m not doing this anymore! I wanna go too!”

Liu Junfeng was suddenly frantic, his composure completely shattered.

This was a dream he had been planning for a long time but had never managed to make happen.

He never expected that Lin Chu would have already snuck off and hit the road!

”Sure, you can come. But let’s be clear: you can come only after you’ve found the CEO, the CFO, and a replacement for your own position. If you can’t find them, then don’t bother coming.”

Lin Chu said with a wicked grin.

’What the hell!’

’Has everyone lost their ambition?’

’Have they all gotten full of themselves?’

’Just gonna quit working?’

Liu Junfeng took a deep breath and thought for a moment. ”What damn work do I even have? Fine, you just wait for me. A week at most. Take it easy, drive slow. Where are you now? Once I find the people, I’ll drop in on you anytime.”

An irrepressible impulse suddenly welled up within him.

’Let’s go!’

’To hell with this stupid job!’

”I’m in North Sea. I’m planning on about two hundred kilometers a day. It’s fine, no rush. As long as you can find them before I enter Tibet, you’re good.”
