Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 226: Chapter 195: The ’Big Brother’ Lin Chu Looks Forward To

Huang Yuan then asked.

”He’s here. Upstairs showering and changing. He’ll be down in a bit.”

Lin Chu replied nonchalantly.

Huang Yuan nodded. ”Alright, I’ll chat with him in a bit. Hahaha. By the way, quick question. You’re the boss here, the organizer. If I win the Old Friends Tournament, can I donate the prize money?”

He watched Lin Chu with a smirk.

Lin Chu was taken aback once again.

He sucked in a sharp breath.

’Shit!’

’What a show-off.’

’Looks like Huang Yuan had his ”unique” way of flexing all planned out.’

’Win a prize in the Old Friends Tournament, get the money, and then donate it—most likely to Big Beard. It would show off his incredible skills and make him look like a righteous hero.’

’The key is... he’d be using my money!’

’And that would somehow make him look even more amazing!’

Glancing at him, Lin Chu’s expression turned a little ”reproachful.”

’So devious!’

’I can’t let this stand!’

Shrugging, Lin Chu replied with a cheeky grin, ”You can donate it, but I’ve probably already helped him out by then.”

He spread his hands.

Hm?

Hearing this, Huang Yuan frowned. He tilted his head back slightly, his eyes darting around for a moment. ”In that case, why don’t you ask for me if there’s anyone else in the group chat who’s planning to kill themselves?”

’!!!’

He sighed.

’A clash of titans. That move nearly took me out in one hit.’

”What about... me?”

Lin Chu said, exasperated.

Huang Yuan let out a laugh and clapped Lin Chu on the shoulder. ”That’s not out of the question. Play a round of golf with me! All you have to do is win!”

Lin Chu said calmly, ”I have a charitable foundation that’s in the process of being registered. It helps children in orphanages get cochlear implants. I’ve already spent several million on it. Boss Huang, allow me to thank you in advance on behalf of the children. The world of charity truly needs more good ’big brothers’ like you!”

’?’

He stared at Lin Chu for a few seconds, then heaved a long sigh.

”Fine, fine, you little rascal! We’re having a few more drinks later! A drinking contest! If you can outdrink me, that’ll count too!”

Lin Chu pursed his lips. ”I’ve got it all ready for you. 20-year Moutai, Yamazaki 25, and Romanée-Conti.”

Huang Yuan glanced over and finally saw the labels on the bottles, pausing for a moment once more.

He subconsciously reached up to scratch his hair, but remembering the hair gel, he stopped himself.

”You’re ruthless!”

”I’m going to drink you into bankruptcy!”

He strode toward the table laden with alcohol.

Lin Chu couldn’t help but shake his head and smile. ’This guy is really something else.’

Sometimes, Lin Chu really wondered if people who seemed so ”eccentric” were like that by nature, or if they had just been wearing a social mask for too long.

But there’s the saying, ”At forty, one has no more doubts.” Perhaps he’d just figured out how to live.

’Or at least, figured it out in their own way.’

...

”President Lin, everyone’s arrived. Here’s the list. Everyone except for a Ms. Zhou, that is. Your voices were pretty loud, I couldn’t help but overhear. Sorry about that.”

Zhang Shuai came over, speaking with a polite smile.

He was quite impressed watching Lin Chu greet so many people. ’This President Lin is a true social chameleon,’ he thought. ’He switches personas seamlessly, like an actor, knowing exactly what to say to whom. He gets along great with everyone.’

’Of course, his status as the club’s owner was part of it, but his personal charisma was a major factor too.’

”Mm, have all the gifts been registered? You’re in the second-hand business, right? Give me a rough estimate. What’s the total value?”

Lin Chu asked with a grin.

This question...

...momentarily stumped Zhang Shuai. He quickly racked his brain, then cleared his throat. ”It’d have to be... around three hundred thousand, I’d say?”

It was mainly the alcohol.

And various other miscellaneous items, most of them high-quality.

There were over a hundred people present, and aside from a few, most of them had brought gifts.

At an average of around three thousand per person, it was a considerable sum.

”Do you buy this stuff?”

”If you do, draw up a list for me later with a final number. Give me a fair price, don’t try to rip me off... and take them.”

”Wire the money to Big Beard. We can just say the guys crowdfunded it for him. It’ll be a meaningful gesture.”

Lin Chu added with another smile.

Upon hearing this, Zhang Shuai was utterly dumbfounded. For a moment, his scalp went numb.

’Holy shit!’

’So he had this planned from the very beginning!’

’Even having me greet guests and keep a tally was part of his plan!’

’What kind of fucking mind does he have?’

Taking a deep breath, he glanced at Lin Chu’s face, his sharp Adam’s apple bobbing. ”I’ll buy them! I... I’ll do my best to give you the highest possible price!”

’Is this an opportunity?’

’Whether it is or not, there’s definitely a profit to be made from this deal.’

Sigh...

’President Lin... He really... leaves you speechless.’
