Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 203: Chapter 188: Good Big Brother

If someone really got greedy later and tried to skim money from the company, it wouldn’t be ”company policy” keeping them in line, but the bond of brotherhood with him, their ”big brother.”

Keep things relaxed.

This wasn’t just a workplace.

”Ah Ming, why don’t you go to the Membership Department? Be a manager there. I just transferred the vice president to another department, so you can go have some fun and build up your resume.”

With those thoughts, Lin Chu cast aside any lingering reservations and spoke cheerfully.

Lu Ming’s eyes flickered. He thought for a moment, then smiled. ”Sure, no problem. But I’ll just be a manager. Heh, for a slacker like me, fuck, being a big boss would be a pain in the ass. It’d cut into my time for fun and games.”

His words took Lin Chu by surprise for a moment.

’Damn, he’s perceptive.’

”Alright, you can do that for now. Whenever you feel like doing some real work, just let me know.”

Lu Ming nodded and stretched. ”Alrighty! HAHAHAHA! I’ll go home tonight and report the good news to my dad. His son, who’s been doing nothing for almost three years since graduation, has finally found his first job! I’ll have him mobilize his connections to drum up some business for me, show a little support.”

He was practically glowing with pride.

It had more than a hint of a humblebrag.

Everyone in the room looked at him, laughing and playfully cursing.

’That bastard. He really managed to pull it off.’

...

”Lawyer Xiong, find me a legal expert who understands finance. I want them stationed here permanently, an outsourced position. They’ll be my enforcer.”

Lin Chu then turned to Li Haohong, seeing no need to beat around the bush and stating his intentions directly.

Li Haohong nodded. ”No problem. I could even do it myself.”

”Alright. It’s up to you.”

...

”Dongzi, how about going into sales? Get some experience.”

Lin Chu looked at Fang Weidong. He had his reasons for this. ’Someone with a relatively simple and naive character would naturally benefit the most from the training that sales provides.’

’Back when he was just an employee, his manager always used to say that sales was like chasing women.’

’After a few years in sales, how could you still worry about getting scammed by a woman?’

’He knew his dad, Yang Guangrong was his dad’s friend, Yang Huixian was like an older sister to him, and he himself was from a local family that got rich from demolition compensation. This tailor-made position was a perfect fit.’

Fang Weidong took a deep breath and stood up.

”Okay!”

”Thank you, Brother Chu!”

”I can’t say how well I’ll do, but I’ll treat this as an opportunity for self-improvement. At the very least, I definitely won’t embarrass you!”

He declared his position very formally.

He was starting to get excited.

It wasn’t mainly about the position, but the circle of people.

The last time Lin Chu took a group of his buddies to Bohe Island, they had a wild time, but he hadn’t been invited. After all, they didn’t know each other that well back then.

But now... he was taking his first step into the inner circle!

Lin Chu smiled and waved his hand. ”I know. Have a seat.”

...

”Xiaojun and Ah Mo, you two are veterans over at the live-streaming company. What are your thoughts? We still need someone for purchasing here.”

”Actually... President Peng, you decide.”

Lin Chu looked at the two men. Both had been brought in by Zhang Peng; one was from his hometown, the other a former colleague, and both were performing well at their current jobs.

However, there was no need to bring both of them over. One would be enough, as people were still needed to get things done at the other company.

The two of them were more or less Zhang Peng’s right and left-hand men.

Hearing this, the two men looked up, both appearing a bit hesitant.

’The live-streaming company was more familiar, but the golf club seemed much more prestigious.’

Zhang Peng glanced at Lin Chu, then at the two men. He thought quickly and, a moment later, came to a decision.

”Let’s go with Ah Mo. Xiaojun is more focused on signing new streamers.”

In truth, he felt that Xue Xiaojun was a bit too slick. The purchasing position required someone more upright and principled. Liang Mo, by comparison, was more honest.

’Even though Xue Xiaojun was from his hometown, that was all the more reason to be cautious.’

’At the live-streaming company, under his direct supervision, he could ensure Xiaojun wasn’t treated unfairly and also keep a bit of an eye on him.’

Xue Xiaojun also smiled at this. ”I have no objection. It’s just like President Peng says: I’m a utility player, ready to go wherever I’m needed.”

Although he was quite drawn to the job at the golf club, since Zhang Peng had spoken, he couldn’t very well object.

Liang Mo pursed his lips, stood up, and said in a very serious tone, ”Thank you, President Lin and President Zhang, for your trust in me. I will work hard.”

Lin Chu nodded.

...

At this point, all the arrangements were basically complete.

Lin Chu’s gaze swept across the room once more, not finding anything he had missed. Li Kai’s maid cafe was about to open, so he obviously couldn’t spare any time for this, making it unnecessary to call on him.

As for Hou Chengjin and the others, they all had their own affairs to manage, so it was impossible for them to work at the club. They were simply partners.

He glanced at Zhao Rong again. ’That idea he’d had earlier hadn’t completely faded, but he didn’t have the capacity to act on it right now. He’d set it aside for the moment; there would definitely be an opportunity later.’

”Brother Chu, I’d like to apply to be an agent for the club’s membership cards,” Zhao Rong said with a smile. ”I have plenty of female members with strong spending power. I can recommend people to you.”

”Also, if you’re interested, we could also organize matchmaking events.”

”These two lines of business would complement each other quite well.”

Zhao Rong spoke with a broad smile, holding her sister’s hand under the table, feeling quite excited inside.

’With a big move like this from Lin Chu, all his people were getting a piece of the action. Although she wasn’t part of his inner circle, her sister was here.’

’Besides, this kind of business cooperation was mutually beneficial; everyone could make money.’

Lin Chu glanced at her, thought for a moment, and then nodded with a smile.

”Of course, no problem. Our membership cards are divided into five tiers. I’ll be raising the prices after I take over, and I’ve already basically set them.”

”The Five-Star Card will have an annual fee of 2.8 million. Four-Star, 1.8 million. Three-Star, 800,000. Two-Star, 580,000. And One-Star, 80,000.”

”I can give you a quota for each tier. Let’s set the commission at 20% for now.”

”As for the matchmaking events, we’ll talk about that later. It’s not a priority right now.”

Lin Chu said with a warm smile. If she wanted to help him make money, he naturally had no problem with that.

’Lin Chu had benchmarked this pricing structure against Mission Hills Golf; his prices were even a little higher. But as he’d said before, their ”profit models” were different.’

At maximum capacity, this club could maintain and service up to 1,200 members.

Any more than that, and it would exceed its service capacity.

The current number of members was only 348, leaving significant room for growth.

Seeing Lin Chu agree, Zhao Rong also nodded with a smile and offered a few compliments, all while making her own calculations.

’These prices were quite high, probably the most expensive in the entire Pearl River Delta. But while she had her thoughts on the matter, she didn’t voice them. In any case, her fans would be the ones footing the bill. This kind of business had no overhead for her; every sale was pure profit.’

...

After chatting for a few more moments with Hou Chengjin and Pei Ming, Lin Chu took a deep breath, raised his teacup, and stood up.

”Thank you all for coming to show your support today. I hope that from now on, we can all work together and get rich together.”

”For those of you inside the company, let me say a few words from the heart. If you’re short on money, you can ask me for it. I’m not lacking for that kind of cash. I see you as my brothers, so you can see me as your big brother. But don’t do anything stupid within the company. Don’t give outsiders a reason to laugh at us. That’s something I fucking can’t tolerate.”

”Come, a toast! We’ll use tea in place of wine!”

Lin Chu finished his speech in a calm tone. Everyone raised their cups in unison, their gazes fixed on this young ”big brother,” faces wreathed in smiles, eyes shining.

Emotion, relationships, and interests—all laid out and managed with perfect clarity.

A true big brother!

A real big brother!

A great big brother!
