Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 221: Chapter 194: I’ll Trade Gold for a True Heart

Lin Chu’s tone was firm and absolute.

Hearing this, Yang Huixian felt a stir in her heart.

’Not even a small deposit?’

’But,’ she mused, ’I still have a lot of inventory on hand. An order this big... I can’t possibly handle it all myself. I’ll inevitably have to subcontract it out to my peers. And if Lin Chu won’t pay a deposit, I’ll just have to leverage my reputation and ask my contacts to start production on my behalf?’

She didn’t doubt for a second that Lin Chu could afford it.

After all, he owned that huge golf club.

Besides, the payment term was short—only a week.

Of course, that was looking at it from a business perspective.

’From a personal perspective, though... any company in Shuibei could handle an order this big. Why give it to me?’

With that, Yang Huixian took a deep breath and said carefully, ”Alright. I’ll have the first batch of fifty ready for you before tomorrow morning. I should be able to produce another 150 tomorrow, and then finish the entire order by noon the day after. It just means I’ll have to pull an all-nighter tonight, that’s all.”

Lin Chu smiled when he heard her say that.

”Alright, sounds good. I appreciate you doing this.”

After they finished talking, Lin Chu hung up the phone, gave a long stretch, and lit a cigarette.

”President Lin, President Li, Vice President Ma, and Vice President Liu are all waiting outside. They’ve been there for over ten minutes,” Liang Jieyu said softly, seeing that Lin Chu had finished his call.

”Let them in.”

She pulled open the door.

The three men entered, bringing a wave of smoke and booze with them.

”Back so soon?”

”Didn’t you guys go for another round?”

”He came all the way from the Capital City. Shouldn’t you have taken him to find some girls, play some dice?”

Lin Chu teased with a grin, patting the sofa beside him.

The three men walked over and sat down, all wearing wry smiles. Liu Junfeng sighed. ”Alright, I guess I’ll be the one to explain.”

He then quickly recounted everything that had happened in the private room, from start to finish.

Lin Chu was baffled.

He looked at him, his expression nonchalant but his eyes pensive.

’My man, Brother Feng. What a badass.’

’He just pulled a ridiculously awesome identity for me out of thin air.’

’He’s really not afraid of getting exposed, is he?’

’But it’s not a big deal.’

Lan Yuzheng’s reaction was also quite interesting to Lin Chu. He was an old fox of the underworld, after all; his composure was surprisingly solid.

Shameless and ruthless.

”Alright, forget about him for now. Just tell him I’m busy.”

”Tomorrow, everyone’s going out to round up clients. There’s a company meeting at 8 a.m. sharp. I have a major announcement,” Lin Chu said casually.

Seeing his completely nonchalant attitude, the three men were momentarily stunned.

’He’s... really just going to ignore it?’

Li Ziming looked like he wanted to say something more, but Lin Chu had already stood up. ”Quitting time,” he said with a smile. ”Go home and get some sleep.”

Li Ziming: ”Uh...”

Liu Junfeng also wanted to speak. He had been feeling quite apprehensive, but seeing how relaxed Lin Chu was, his worries completely vanished.

’What the hell is there to be afraid of!’

...

「The next morning.」

A little after six, Yang Huixian delivered the fifty custom-made Gold clubs, each in an exquisite gift box.

After making the delivery, she went home, utterly exhausted, to catch up on sleep.

Lin Chu offered a few words of comfort without saying much else, then drove to the club.

The sun, rising in the east, cast a faint golden glow over the entire course. It was a truly beautiful sight.

「7:50 a.m.」

The conference room was already packed. All the company’s vice presidents were there, along with the managers from the Sales and Membership Departments, and the entire Caddie Department.

Lin Chu had some workers bring in all the clubs and stack them neatly on the conference table.

He casually opened one of the boxes.

Under the bright lights of the room, the luster of Gold immediately captivated everyone.

SLAP!

Lin Chu then placed a stack of printed copies of his handwritten letters on the table.

”Gold golf clubs. 999 grams of pure gold, custom-made for every single one of our current clients.”

”The first batch of fifty has arrived. Find the ones for your clients and come claim them. They must all be delivered by three o’clock this afternoon.”

”If the client isn’t available, deliver it to their office or their home. Not a single one is to be missed.”

”Come on. Claim them for your clients.”

Lin Chu announced, a triumphant smile on his face.

Hearing this, everyone in the room stared at Lin Chu in utter disbelief. They never imagined the boss would suddenly make such an extravagant move.

Ever since Lin Chu took over the club, he had been making one bold move after another.

Everyone already knew about the price hike.

The club was already selling annual memberships at the new, higher price.

Of course... they weren’t selling.

To date, not a single one had been sold. It would take time for the market to adjust.

’And now... was this the turning point?’

The first to snap out of it was Xin Fu, the Vice President of Sales. He stood up, casually opened one of the gift boxes, and lifted out a pure Gold club to examine it, his eyes reflecting its golden gleam.

”Beautiful, truly beautiful!”

”Thank you, President Lin, for your tremendous support of the Sales Department’s work!”

”Everyone, a round of applause!”

Xin Fu said with a grin, leading the applause. Everyone else quickly joined in. Not to be outdone by the Sales Department, the other departments clapped even harder. The conference room was instantly filled with thunderous applause that threatened to tear the roof off.

Lin Chu: ”...Uh.”

”You guys just have to make it awkward, don’t you?”

”Just focus on your work, make more money, and cut the empty gestures. I’ve got more than enough people trying to kiss my ass. You guys can do it less, I’m sick of it. My ass is about to get swollen from all the patting.”

Lin Chu chided them with a laugh.

A wave of genuine laughter filled the room.

”Get to work for today. We’ll talk about everything else later. I’ve done my part to support you. The rest is up to you.”
