Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 220: Chapter 194: I’ll Trade Gold for True Hearts

The dinner started early and ended quickly, lasting less than two hours.

It was a little after nine in the evening when Liu Junfeng, Li Ziming, and Ma Lin headed toward Lin Chu’s office.

Inside, Lin Chu was on the phone with Yang Huixian.

After much thought, Lin Chu had decided to fight on multiple fronts.

’A man has to use his own initiative. Even a scoundrel works this hard to make money, so how can I be any worse than a scoundrel?’

The issue of his rival’s background could be set aside for now.

He was still waiting for the third-party company to finish its investigation and analysis before tailoring a solution.

However, Lin Chu wasn’t particularly keen on using such methods.

’Once you’re in the game, you’re in deep, and it’s easy to cross a line.’

From a purely business perspective, this situation offered plenty of room to maneuver.

Moreover, he could tie it into his current ”lack of funds.”

Time to get the money flowing.

The call Lin Chu was on with Yang Huixian was about this very matter.

”I plan to order a custom batch of Golden Golf Clubs for our members. They’ll be objets d’art, weighing a symbolic 999 grams each for longevity. I need this done fast. I want the design drafts today, production to start tonight, and hopefully, I can see the first batch of finished products by tomorrow.”

”The club design can be mass-produced, but the customization will be in engraving each member’s name and unique number on their club.”

Lin Chu placed the order with her.

Today’s wholesale price for Gold was 567 yuan per gram.

For a large, custom bulk order, the price could be even lower. Yang Huixian said she could go as low as 540, including labor costs. The Gold industry in Shuibei was always trustworthy.

As for the custom shape and production efficiency, there were no issues whatsoever.

This was where the power of a fully integrated industrial chain showed itself. As long as the money was there, all the clubs could be manufactured within three days.

Lin Chu did some quick math. At that unit price per gram, a 999-gram club would cost nearly 540,000 yuan.

Currently, the entire club had a total of 348 members. Giving one to each person would cost nearly 190 million yuan.

The number of female members was very small, not exceeding thirty, which was almost negligible.

After this expenditure, he would earn back roughly the same amount.

There were many other benefits, too.

This was far more than just killing two birds with one stone; it was more like three, four, or even five birds...

First, it would create a legitimate channel of communication with the existing old members. Lin Chu refused to believe they had hearts of stone. ’How could they not be moved?’

’Even if they aren’t moved, they’ll at least have to come see me to get their freebie, right?’

’Come on, get in the bowl.’

’Once they’re here, I can slowly build relationships. I’m bound to win over a few good friends.’

Second, it would mitigate as much of the negative impact from the annual membership fee increase as possible.

Even customers who wanted to cancel their memberships because of the price hike would get one. ’I get a rebate anyway.’

As for those who didn’t cancel and wanted to renew, the ”compensation” of this Golden Golf Club would most likely make them feel a lot better about it.

Third, it would give Yang Huixian a huge order, allowing her to logically become part of the club’s ecosystem.

At the same time, it would significantly lower the sales difficulty for Xin Fu and his staff in the sales department.

It would also create a promotional effect, showcasing the club’s prestige.

’We’re just that rich, just that willful.’ Forget Peng City, among all the golf courses in the entire country, they were probably the only one that spoiled their clients like this.

Fourth, it was a message for Lan Yuzheng.

’Come on, let’s keep playing.’

’I’ve got money, but I’m just not giving it to you.’

’I’ll take out two hundred million to give to my clients, and they’ll at least appreciate it. Who the hell do you think you are?’

And...

If there was an ”unexpected surprise”—for example, if a client with a powerful background thought President Lin was a decent guy during the course of their new friendship and casually helped him resolve this matter—that would be even better.

Of course, he wouldn’t get his hopes up for that.

It was up to luck.

After thinking all this through, Lin Chu almost felt a little grateful to Lan Yuzheng. After all, there’s no motivation without pressure. If it weren’t for him, he might have just lazed around for a while longer and never come up with such a great idea.

’Hmm, how should I thank him?’

’I know, I’ll send him a dump truck!’ 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

However, he’d have to wait for Old Liu and the others to report back first.

The phone call was still ongoing.

An order like this was something Yang Huixian couldn’t be happier about. Moreover, Lin Chu was doing it in such an open and aboveboard manner, showcasing a style that she deeply approved of.

’This is what a top-tier golf club should feel like!’

As for the money, it never even crossed her mind that Lin Chu was short on cash.

At her company, the designer was right beside her. Yang Huixian had already asked the designer to create several drafts, letting Lin Chu choose while they were still on the phone.

It was just a golf club. The technical difficulty was low, and the workload was small.

After looking at seven versions, Lin Chu quickly picked one.

grams of Gold wasn’t actually that much—just under a kilogram. Cast into an art piece, it would be about the size of a large trophy.

The design wasn’t a perfect replica of a real golf club; it incorporated some artistic elements.

It had a base at the bottom where the client’s name and the LC Golf Club insignia could be engraved.

”Let’s go with the third version. Start mass production immediately. Tonight.”

Lin Chu said bluntly.

He actually felt a little nervous saying this, because he only had 18 million left in his account. For a 200-million-yuan order, he had no idea what percentage Yang Huixian would ask for as a deposit.

Lin Chu didn’t really want her to know that he was short on cash at the moment.

”Okay! So, um, should we sign a contract?”

Yang Huixian asked, a gentle laugh in her voice.

”This is urgent, so let’s skip the contract for now. You get started first. I’ll have the money transferred within a week.”
