Super Tycoon: I Beg You, Stop Pulling Stunts

Chapter 206: Chapter 189: A Man’s Ultimate Pleasure

Lin Chu could sense his hesitation and inner conflict.

As a third-generation member of the Zhu Family, even if he wanted to come over to Lin Chu’s side, he had to consider the repercussions within the family. A Zhu Family member going to work for a rival golf club—what would people say?

If it were as Zhu Yizhen had said, and Lin Chu made him the general manager, that would naturally bring honor to the Zhu Family.

But that was obviously impossible.

’Fat chance.’

Times had changed. Lin Chu wasn’t as desperate to have him anymore.

But, to be fair, he still admired the man himself.

”Find a way to screw over your older brother, and then you can be the one in charge.”

Lin Chu said with a smile, goading him jokingly.

Zhu Yixian: ...

”My dad would kill me first. The Zhu Family has a strict hierarchy, and they place immense value on filial piety and fraternal respect.”

TSK.

’Such a traditional—one could even say feudal—family culture.’

’Of course, it has its pros and cons.’

”What I can offer you is an escape route, a way for me to repay the favor I owe you. As for anything else, if you don’t have the ambition for it, I can’t help you.”

”If you want to be the boss but won’t fight for it yourself, how can anyone else help you?”

”Let’s eat. We’re not talking about this anymore.”

Lin Chu said decisively, his tone even bordering on forceful.

Zhu Yixian glanced at him, sensing that domineering aura, and couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.

’It’s like... I’ve already got one foot on a pirate ship, haven’t I?’

But he couldn’t say much more.

After all, Lin Chu wasn’t wrong.

Just then, Zhu Yixian’s phone suddenly began to ring again, its tone urgent.

He glanced at the caller ID, and his expression changed. Making a ”shush” gesture, he stood up and answered, ”Big Brother, what is it?”

”Where did you go? Get to my office. Right now. Immediately.”

Hearing his older brother’s voice, Zhu Yixian felt his scalp tingle with dread. He pressed his lips together, glanced at Lin Chu, and said, ”I’m out running an errand. I’ll head back right away.”

BEEP BEEP BEEP.

The person on the other end had hung up.

Hearing this, Lin Chu’s brow furrowed slightly, but he just teased, ”Looks like your big brother is keeping tabs on you. If you want to chat in the future, just text me. You’ve got it rough, man.”

’The Zhu Family’s ”fraternal respect” went this far?’

’How absurd.’

There was a look of shame in Zhu Yixian’s eyes. He had invited Lin Chu to a meal, they had ordered, and now he had to leave before all the food had even arrived. It was truly a huge loss of face, and he felt he was letting Lin Chu down.

But his big brother had given an order. There was nothing he could do.

”I’m sorry, I have to go back now. I’ve wasted your time.”

He said, his tone heavy, then grabbed his bag and walked quickly toward the door.

”Wait.”

Lin Chu suddenly spoke up.

Hm?

Zhu Yixian stopped in his tracks and looked back.

”Give me your big brother’s number. I’ll have a word with him.”

Lin Chu’s tone was firm and left no room for refusal.

Zhu Yixian... was stunned. A strange sense of panic even began to well up inside him. ’What is he planning to do?’

”Give it to me!”

Lin Chu’s voice grew heavier.

He took a deep breath, licked his lips, but still didn’t move.

”I’m going to talk to him about some business. Don’t worry. After we talk, your life will get a lot easier.”

A smile appeared on Lin Chu’s face as he spoke, his tone suddenly lighthearted.

Zhu Yixian thought for a moment. ”Can you call his office number?”

Lin Chu: ...

’You really are a fucking coward.’

’Is he going to eat you?!’

’Or kill you?’

’This is a society ruled by law!’

”Fine, fine, fine. The landline.”

A moment later, Lin Chu got the number and dialed Zhu Yizhen. Since he was in his office, the call connected quickly.

”Haha, President Zhu, it’s Lin Chu.”

Zhu Yizhen was a bit surprised to receive the call. He was silent for a moment before replying in a calm tone, ”President Lin, is there something you need?”

”Of course. Why would I waste your time otherwise? Let’s have a meal together. Right now. I’ll wait for you. We can discuss business. We don’t have to be competitors; collaboration is always an option. To be blunt, we’re all in this to make money. This pointless rivalry is getting us nowhere.”

Lin Chu said with a wide smile.

Hearing this, Zhu Yixian, who was standing nearby, was completely dumbfounded.

He never would have imagined, not in a million years, that Lin Chu would invite his big brother to a meal in such a way!

Zhu Yizhen: ”You’re having a meal with my younger brother?”

Lin Chu: ”The food hasn’t even arrived. Get off your high horse. What do you drink? Hurry up, I’m waiting for you. If you’re not here in an hour, your brother is forfeit.”

Zhu Yixian: ...

On the other end of the line, Zhu Yizhen listened to Lin Chu’s light and cheerful tone. Although he was still resentful about their previous encounter, he couldn’t help but feel a little curious.

Besides, Lin Chu was right—this pointless rivalry really was meaningless. ”Wait for me,” he said. ”I’m waiting to hear how we’re going to make money together.”

After giving him the address and hanging up, Lin Chu glanced at Zhu Yixian again and gestured with his chin. ”Sit down. Why are you still standing there in a daze?”

”Sigh... You’re such a coward. Is there anything that can’t be resolved by sitting down at a table and talking it out?”

”Better to be aggressive than weak. Later, I’ll gift you a piece of calligraphy with those five words on it.”

Zhu Yixian’s sharp Adam’s apple bobbed. He took a deep breath and sat down.

Looking at Lin Chu, a strange feeling suddenly bloomed in his heart.

’He’s clearly the same age as me, but... he seems so much larger than life.’

...

About forty-something minutes later, Zhu Yizhen arrived. He entered the private room with a calm expression. He glanced at his younger brother, his eyes flickered, but he said nothing.

”President Lin, I won’t be staying for dinner. I came out of respect for your status to hear your ’way of making money.’”

Lin Chu glanced at him, shaking his head with a small smile.

”Such a temper. Let’s get you a bowl of lotus seed and pear soup to cool you down.” To Zhu Yixian, he added, ”Go tell the waiter to bring out the dishes.”

Hearing this, Zhu Yixian glanced at his older brother. Remembering the five words Lin Chu had just said, he stood up and walked quickly out of the room.
