Reborn As Super Heiress

Of course, this does not mean the end; the aftermath of the Beast Head incident persisted for a long time.

The day after Huo Sining held a press conference, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Huaxia Country received a diplomatic letter from America.

This document was sent from the American Consulate General.

On the day of receiving the diplomatic letter, this document passed from Chief Lu’s hand to Huo Sining’s. When Huo Sining received the document, although she feigned surprise on her face, she was not really surprised in her heart.

In fact, at the press conference, Huo Sining had already anticipated that with the American government’s rude and overbearing style, this matter couldn’t possibly end so quickly. Having gained such a substantial advantage in America, those Americans wouldn’t let it go so easily.

Opening the document, indeed, the wording was consistently tough. The American Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a strong condemnation of Huo Sining’s previous act of digging diamonds at Volcano Park, questioning her use of illegal methods to steal American national property, and demanded the Huaxia Government to respond to the American government within three days, insisting that Huo Sining must return all the diamonds she had previously taken from Volcano Park.

This kind of so-called diplomatic platitudes had been used quite often by the Huaxia Government in face of Country F, Pickle Country, and Dongyang. As for such provocative diplomatic letters, Chief Lu did not take it seriously, and neither did Huo Sining, dismissing it with a derisive smile.

Huo Sining didn’t believe that with Chief Lu’s personality, he would suffer in this matter. Her god-grandfather, though usually smiling meekly and kindly, would definitely stand firm when someone tried to bully them at home; he would definitely retaliate firmly and wouldn’t let those Americans take advantage.

Of course, appearances still needed to be maintained, so after seeing the diplomatic letter, Huo Sining called Chief Lu with a feigned worried voice, pretending to inquire cautiously:

”Grandfather Lu, did I cause you trouble again this time?”

Chief Lu certainly did not take such a trivial matter to heart, and with the Beast Head incident giving him a good opportunity, recent cleanup activities removed quite a few obstacles, finally allowing some of his work to proceed smoothly. Chief Lu had thoroughly changed his view towards his unintended god-granddaughter.

The saying goes that an unintentional act can yield success; he never expected this girl would truly become the Lu Family’s good fortune, not only preserving the Lu Family’s only bloodline legacy but also significantly helping him. This made Chief Lu increasingly satisfied with Huo Sining, so regarding the diplomatic dispute caused by the Beast Head incident, Chief Lu certainly wouldn’t let Huo Sining worry, taking it upon himself to handle it with a bold approach.

The reason for showing this diplomatic letter to Huo Sining was that Chief Lu intended for her to understand America’s attitude, so she could have a gauge of the entire incident and wouldn’t be unknowingly used by someone with ulterior motives.

However, seeing Huo Sining’s quite anxious tone over the phone, Chief Lu feared that she might be bearing an emotional burden, so he quickly explained:

”Such things are commonplace, not really trouble. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs might receive several such letters in a day; it’s basically nothing to worry about. You don’t need to be nervous; those Americans now only dare to shout across the sky a bit. You have the entry agreement to Volcano Park, which means you are in the right, so not even the United Nations can interfere.”

”Moreover, this is fundamentally a private act, unrelated to the country or government. This matter cannot escalate into international diplomacy nor is it the turn of government departments to get involved. Even if they are truly dissatisfied, this matter can only be brought to court by the owner of Volcano Park, Oltin, and not by the American government.”

”However, now that the Rothschild Family’s business in America is shrinking and the stock market plummeting, it’s estimated that the Rothschild Family is in disarray, deciding to abandon the lesser to preserve the greater and prepare to transfer their business to D Country. I think that person named Oltin would be too troubled and lack the mood or energy to sue you. Plus, as a D Country citizen, America cannot force him to sue you. Oltin suffered a great loss at your hands and is likely to avoid you actively. How could he confront you voluntarily?”

Chief Lu’s words made Huo Sining seem like a ferocious creature, listening to which Huo Sining couldn’t help but laugh, as if she could already see Oltin’s miserable appearance, somewhat compassionately saying:

”The culprit in this matter isn’t me; I just went with the flow for self-defense. The real instigator is Duke Clayflo of the Rothschild Family. If he hadn’t blown this matter up in the media and exposed my information, this situation wouldn’t have escalated to this point. But the most pitiful is Oltin, not only had so many diamonds originally belonging to him dug away by me but also implicated by his cousin in substantial stock market losses, truly innocently caught in the crossfire, very tragic.”

Huo Sining couldn’t help but click her tongue, apparently sympathizing with the innocent Oltin. However, if Chief Lu were standing in front of Huo Sining at this moment, he would certainly have seen the barely concealed schadenfreude in her eyes.

How could this girl be sympathizing with the innocent Oltin? She was clearly being insincere!

However, Chief Lu didn’t know that Huo Sining, a mere young girl, would have so many faces; he thought Huo Sining has a thin skin, couldn’t bear to see others innocently sacrificed because of her, and thus said:

”You don’t need to think too much. Although Oltin was indeed inexplicably drawn in, truly saying he’s innocent is not entirely accurate. He and Duke Clayflo are both members of the Rothschild Family, so he’s not innocent. Having enjoyed the glory brought by the Rothschild Family, when the family encounters trouble, they have to bear the consequences together. This matter is essentially interdependent, no one can stand alone.”

Huo Sining knows the truth in Chief Lu’s words, that since Oltin belongs to the Rothschild Family, he cannot disassociate himself from the family, irrespective of glory or disgrace.

Thinking this way, Huo Sining felt relieved and couldn’t help but laugh: ”If this matter isn’t troublesome, then I’m at ease. Anyway, as your granddaughter now, I’m hiding under Grandfather Lu’s wings; even if the sky falls, it will have to be grandfather to bear it.”

Chief Lu burst into hearty laughter immediately: ”You young lass, are you recklessly clinging to me?”
