Reborn As Super Heiress

Huo Sining received the 350 million payment from Windsor Reed in the afternoon, after four o’clock. The money was directly deposited into her Swiss Bank account. As soon as the funds arrived, she hurriedly called Windsor Reed.

”Miss Huo, the money has arrived, hasn’t it?” Windsor Reed spoke on the other side, sounding very cheerful. Clearly, he was very satisfied with the transaction with Huo Sining.

Huo Sining nodded: ”Yes, Mr. Windsor, have you already returned?”

Windsor Reed laughed: ”To be honest with you, Count Adrienne and I rushed back to England last night. I had those diamonds professionally appraised as well, and I won’t hesitate to say the truth, Miss Huo, you sold them at a loss. My appraiser told me that the quality of these diamonds is even better than I expected. The price can increase by at least twenty to thirty percent without requiring a cutter, so I’ve really benefited greatly from this deal.”

Huo Sining was stunned; she indeed didn’t know much about the diamond market, and didn’t expect to have sold them so cheaply. But upon thinking it over, she felt relieved. Those diamonds, no matter how valuable, were acquired without cost, at most just the effort of having Gu Xu and Li Jun dig for two days. She hasn’t paid much and is quite content to receive the 350 million US dollars.

”Mr. Windsor, the transaction is complete, and it was voluntary on both sides, so rest assured, I, Huo Sining, keep my promises and won’t regret it. If you do feel bad about it, I have one last request, I wonder if you could do me a favor?”

”What kind of favor?” Windsor Reed asked.

Huo Sining smiled: ”Honestly speaking, because I bid for two twelve zodiac animal heads in the black market auction, my current situation is a bit unfavorable. Many people back home are questioning the origin of this money, so I hope Mr. Windsor can clarify in necessary times, telling the public that the money I used to purchase the animal heads came from selling diamonds, and isn’t dirty money.”

Upon hearing this, Windsor Reed became furious: ”Your country’s people are really outrageous, you spent so much money to bring back your nation’s treasures, yet they still accuse and doubt you, this is simply an insult to you, it’s infuriating. Miss Huo, rest assured, I won’t allow people to misunderstand you because of this, I’ll hold a press conference immediately to clear this up for you!”

Huo Sining, hearing Windsor Reed’s eagerness, hurriedly stopped him: ”No, Mr. Windsor, please don’t rush, this isn’t urgent. I’m still in Philadelphia; at the very least, I have to wait until I bring the animal heads back before explaining. I’ll call you once I’m back in Huaxia, and announce it to the public then, it’s not too late.”

Windsor Reed wasn’t foolish and quickly understood after hearing Huo Sining’s words.

In the past, the Philadelphia Black Market never had reporters dare to expose like this; these people, no matter how audacious, wouldn’t offend the Rothschild Family.

But now things have escalated to such an uncontrollable situation, it only means one thing: even if it’s not Clayflo’s doing, it’s certainly with his permission.

Huo Sining had previously won a lot from Semiya, which means she offended the sibling pair at once. It’s not surprising Clayflo would act in such a way.

Therefore, Windsor Reed quickly understood Huo Sining’s intentions and laughed: ”Fine, wait until you safely bring the animal heads back to Huaxia. Just remember, Clayflo is the heir of the Rothschild Family, he’s not lacking in means. If he really wants to target you, he surely has more plans, you need to be prepared and not be deceived by appearances.”

Huo Sining hadn’t expected Windsor Reed to warn her, warming her heart even more. She feels that cooperating with Windsor Reed, even if the diamonds were sold at a loss, was worth it. This Earl of Windsor is thousands of times better than Clayflo.

With the funds in her account, Huo Sining and her team didn’t wait any longer. Zhou Shitao also couldn’t wait, and the group hurried towards the Philadelphia Black Market Building, fearing for any unforeseen events. They must retrieve and bring back those two animal heads.

Clayflo didn’t anticipate Huo Sining to come and retrieve the items so quickly. After all, it’s been less than twenty-four hours since the auction ended, according to his estimate, Huo Sining would need at least ten days to raise the funds, not this fast.

But since she came, Clayflo couldn’t possibly shut her out. Though he was caught off guard with some arrangements unfinished, Clayflo didn’t feel disappointed; instead, he was more excited.

”So quick to come, seems this woman’s funds are more than we anticipated!”

Semiya also felt somewhat surprised, not expecting Huo Sining to raise the money so quickly. This wasn’t just 25 million, but 250 million US dollars. Even her brother would find it challenging to raise such funds in a day.

”It’s better she came, further proving the money’s dubious origin. To raise so much money in a day, where from? Haha, I thought this woman was clever, yet she handed the evidence to me willingly, don’t blame me for being impolite then.”

Clayflo smiled faintly, nodding at Semiya: ”Let’s go, let’s meet this Miss Huo.”

On the other side, Huo Sining and her team entered the Black Market Building, and soon saw Clayflo, Semiya, along with a few subordinates, arrive in the hall.

Clayflo, still with a cheerful face, seemed very gentlemanly. But knowing the means behind the scenes, Huo Sining’s impression of Clayflo had plummeted, and she had no intention of showing him any kindness.

”Mr. Duke, according to black market auction rules, payment within half a month renders the deal valid, so I’ve come today to retrieve my two animal heads. I assume Mr. Duke has no objections, right?”

Huo Sining got straight to the point; she didn’t want to say even a line extra to Clayflo, wanting to take the items and leave.

However, while Huo Sining wished to say little, Clayflo seemed quite leisurely.

He was there to watch the spectacle, knowing that Huo Sining was caught in a dilemma without retreat. Whether she buys or abandons the two animal heads, she would face condemnation from Huaxia people.

So Clayflo, with a cruel amusement, wanted to witness the mood of this Oriental woman at the moment.
