Reborn As Super Heiress

The authenticity of diamonds can basically be identified by those knowledgeable in the field because determining the authenticity of diamonds is not as difficult as verifying antiques.

However, this does not mean that the diamond business is easy.

The risks in the diamond business primarily come from purchasing the original mines.

Before cutting, no one knows what a diamond raw material will look like.

The unique conditions under which diamonds form and their inherent structures mean that diamonds initially appear in irregular shapes when first mined, and they need processing to become finished jewelry.

The key step in processing is cutting.

Producing a finished diamond requires not only skill in cutting craftsmanship but also diamond quality.

Before cutting, many hidden risks are undetectable; sometimes, there are subtle cracks inside the diamond that are invisible to the naked eye or even under a microscope.

These cracks are entirely hidden before cutting, but during cutting, they often become fatal flaws, sometimes causing the entire diamond to crumble and completely disintegrate.

This situation is not uncommon in diamond processing, yet it is difficult to avoid. This means diamond retailers must bear great risks during this process, relying on luck to determine whether the purchased diamonds have real quality and withstand cutting scrutiny.

This is akin to gambling with stones, a single cut could either increase value or ruin the investment, and not even a god can predict the outcome.

But once successfully processed, the difference between a raw diamond and a finished one can be described as world apart.

A raw pink diamond when first mined may be worth only two or three hundred thousand, but after processing and successful cutting, it can be resold for millions, which is why the diamond industry attracts so many people.

Windsor Reed is well aware of the risks in this industry, but high risk means high reward. He has considerable understanding in the diamond field, which is why he is so persistent in inviting Huo Sining to Mexico to gamble on mines.

However, when faced with these five boxes of extraordinary diamonds, his initial urge to gamble on mines instantly vanished, leaving him entirely focused on these diamonds.

The quality of these diamonds is arguably the best he’s ever seen, and what’s more surprising is that they are all round diamonds, each incredibly smooth. He could confidently predict that they could be immediately set into jewelry without further processing, cutting them would be extravagance and disrespect since these diamonds are nearly perfect and require no further craftsmanship!

This means that once purchased, these diamonds require no cutting costs and maintain their integrity during processing, making this a risk-free and inevitable profit-making transaction.

The glow in Windsor Reed’s eyes intensified, and his smile towards Huo Sining grew warmer:

”Miss Huo, are you... planning to sell these diamonds?”

Huo Sining nodded: ”Yes, all are for sale. As long as Mr. Windsor offers a good price, I’ll sell.”

Windsor Reed considered Huo Sining’s purpose but hesitated due to the unprecedented quality of these diamonds. After pondering deeply, he opened his mouth to ask:

”Miss Huo, these diamonds are indeed attractive, but I don’t quite understand; women generally find it hard to resist diamonds, correct? You could entirely keep these for yourself. The diamond market is increasingly inadequate in supply, and their future value will exceed our imagination. Why are you so insistent on selling them?”

Huo Sining laughed: ”Mr. Windsor, diamonds lack emotion, but people are not devoid of passion. Diamonds are lifeless, whereas the two Beast Heads embody the history and soul of the Huaxia Nation. My treasures might seem trivial to you compared to these diamonds, but they are invaluable to me no matter how many or how large diamonds are.”

Windsor Reed never expected this answer from Huo Sining and couldn’t comprehend her insistence on those Beast Heads. But upon reflecting, if the Mona Lisa were to be exchanged for these diamonds, the romantic people of France would strongly protest, never agreeing to such a rude exchange.

With this in mind, Windsor Reed found himself unable to voice opposition, for even though history and culture have boundaries, art transcends them.

”Alright.” Windsor Reed nodded, addressing Huo Sining sincerely, ”I want these diamonds. For the previous box, I offered fifty million, and the remaining four boxes, though less in quantity, benefit from larger diamond sizes, so I’ll maintain the pricing structure of the first box. For the five boxes, I offer two hundred and fifty million. Miss Huo, how do you feel about this?”

Of course, the two hundred fifty million is in US Dollars.

Previously, Huo Sining bid two hundred and fifty-five million for the two Beast Heads at a black market auction, and she had already won over ninety million from Semiya. She just needs to gather the remaining one hundred sixty million to achieve her goal successfully.

Initially, Huo Sining thought selling these diamonds for two hundred million would exceed expectations, but Windsor Reed’s offer caught her entirely off guard.

Though Huo Sining had not extensively accumulated business experience, she was not completely without any acumen.

Windsor Reed’s offer was likely not his final bid, suggesting room for a higher price.

Why not seize the opportunity? Plus, these diamonds are top-notch following Qibao’s processing, with no quality issues. Huo Sining has no intention of selling them cheaply; she intends to have leftover funds to pay Qibao for his hard work.
