Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1552: Chapter 1536: The Unlucky School of Electric Eels

However, the matter of that egg hasn’t been resolved, and Huo Sining isn’t in much of a mood to go out to sea for now.

Seeing Qibao’s obvious aversion and fear towards that egg, as if the Blue Fatty wasn’t welcome at all, Huo Sining felt a bit uneasy.

Although she wasn’t sure what the situation would be after the egg hatches, Huo Sining had a vague feeling that the creature inside the egg was just like them and could very well become one of their companions in the future.

So in this situation, Huo Sining had to instill an idea in Qibao, that even if he didn’t like it, he couldn’t treat the other as an enemy.

”But Qibao, A Yin can’t talk, and he can only stay in the sea, but that egg is different. If it hatches, it might turn into a human form like you and can eat, sleep, and learn on land and even watch cartoons with you.”

Huo Sining smiled at Qibao, explaining the benefits of the egg.

Indeed, once Qibao heard that it could accompany him to school and watch cartoons, his expression and eyes were filled with anticipation and joy as he looked brightly at Huo Sining and asked, ”Really?”

Huo Sining nodded.

A trace of hesitation flashed across Qibao’s face, but he quickly recalled being attacked by the egg during the day, leaving his buttocks numb, and immediately frowned, his little face contorting.

The little guy spoke with a sob, ”But it zaps people, and it hurts so much, just like the terrifying Electric Ray we saw in the sea before.”

Electric Ray...

Upon hearing this word, Huo Sining was momentarily stunned.

In that instant, a flash of inspiration hit her, and a thought surfaced in her mind.

Her expression froze, and she turned her head mechanically to look at Qibao.

”Qibao, you’re amazing! How did you think of that?”

Qibao looked at Huo Sining with a perplexed expression.

Huo Sining, however, was unable to contain her excitement; she squatted down and picked Qibao up, even leaning in to plant a few heavy kisses on his face.

She was worried about what to do with that egg, and now Qibao had given her a hint, like getting a pillow when you’re tired.

Exactly, Huo Sining had been concerned about stealing electricity on land drawing the power company’s attention, but going to the sea was different. The sea had plenty of natural electricity to be utilized.

Electric Rays, electric eels, electric catfish - these fish are all electrified creatures. As soon as you approach them, they’ll attack with electricity. Isn’t that exactly what the egg needs, a win-win?

The ocean floor hosts countless such electrified creatures. The muscles in those fish bodies work like small interconnected batteries, capable of generating high voltage attacks, with maximum voltages reaching 800 volts, more powerful than a dozen military-grade batons.

Huo Sining considered this a great method; these natural batteries could be used at will, without any constraints. Normally, people would avoid these electrified sea creatures, but the egg would likely love them.

That night, Huo Sining took the egg to the sea, with A Yin carrying it into the deep sea, directly heading to an electric eel’s nest.

As soon as the egg entered the water, who knows if it was too excited or something, it directly rushed towards a group of electric eels, like Nezha stirring up the sea, disrupting the nest completely.

The eels weren’t easy targets either; when faced with an attack from an enemy, they got angry and charged towards the Blue Fatty.

But the Blue Fatty wasn’t fazed at all, like a monk in meditation, it stayed suspended in midair, allowing the eels to discharge electricity towards it. As the currents hit, it shook uncontrollably, appearing utterly content, and if it could talk, it would probably shout ”Refreshing!”

Its smug demeanor was so over the top that even the invisible Huo Sining couldn’t stand it anymore. She sympathized with the enraged and irrational electric eels, shook her head, and sighed quietly.

After a frenzied attack on the Blue Fatty, the eels realized something was wrong and started to retreat.

But by then, the Blue Fatty hadn’t eaten its fill yet, so how could it let this free food slip away?

So it quickly intercepted the eels again, starting another round of teasing the electric eels in the ocean.

For a full four hours, it was like a living hell, and after repeated electric attacks, the eels were utterly exhausted, losing all aggression, collapsing weakly in the sea cave, no longer daring to act arrogantly.

Huo Sining reckoned that after this hellish experience, the poor eels would have a mental block or conditioned reflex, avoiding anything resembling an egg in the future.

The egg, however, was fully satiated, and after surfacing, it shamelessly burped, leaving Huo Sining standing there speechless, shaking her head.

From then on, every few days, Huo Sining would take the Blue Fatty for a dip in the sea, like walking a dog.

Once it became a habit, the creature turned more docile during the day, no longer causing trouble, just lounging in Qibao’s room watching TV and soaking in the bath. Once it even sneaked into Qibao’s backpack, going with him to school, scaring Qibao half to death.

Like this, half a month passed, but there was still no sign of the egg hatching, which left Huo Sining a bit discouraged, and she began to wonder if her method was wrong.

And at that moment, Huo Sining received a call from Zhou Shitao, announcing news about Gao Yuyuan!

”The last call from Gao Yuyuan was made at the border of the Hunan, Hubei, Guizhou, and Chongqing region. Do you know who the call was to?” Zhou Shitao asked, sounding both excited and mysterious on the other end.

Huo Sining was taken aback and instinctively asked, ”Who?”

Zhou Shitao laughed heartily on the line, ”It was to that Oil Rat you lost track of in Changnan! Didn’t that Oil Rat escape before? We’ve had people tracking him, and we’ve just happened to trace him, and tapped into his calls. Guess what? A blind cat hit a dead mouse, and he bumped into folks investigating Gao Yuyuan over there. They got together and identified each other’s identities.”

Huo Sining was immediately amused, curious, ”So where are those two now?”

”In Xiangxi.” Zhou Shitao paused before replying.
