Reborn As Super Heiress

Chapter 1450: Chapter 1434: The Plan

Gu Xu’s efficiency was astonishingly quick. By early the next morning, he received an email detailing the investigation of those shops.

Soon, they noticed something suspicious in one of the shops called Ruihe Pawnshop. The owner, named Chen Ruihe, had a wife who was from Dongyang named Yamazaki Tomomi. However, Huo Sining discovered that the photo of Yamazaki Tomomi looked exactly like Etsuko Misaki whom she had met before!

Huo Sining was taken aback. Despite having suspected this earlier, she was still surprised and confused when the truth lay before her eyes.

It seemed that Fujiwara Seiho was indeed the mastermind behind this robbery and murder case!

This made Huo Sining even more certain that Fujiwara’s grand schemes were definitely not for a simple thing; otherwise, he wouldn’t go to such lengths.

Huo Sining impatiently took out the Mysterious Iron Box she snatched from the Awa Maru.

The box was square, quite heavy, appearing seamless, and seemed to be made of a material like iron, but harder than iron—neither steel nor any known alloy, its material was entirely indiscernible.

Huo Sining took out the Longquan Sword forged by Ouyezi. The Longquan Sword was extremely sharp; she had previously conducted experiments to prove it could slice iron like mud effortlessly. However, when she attempted to use the Longquan Sword to cut open the box, she was astonished to find that even this sword couldn’t make the slightest dent!

Even more frustrating for Huo Sining was the failure of her Heavenly Eye Skill, which usually could penetrate any material. It hit a bottleneck with this Mysterious Iron Box. Despite many attempts, her vision remained blurred, unable to see what the box contained.

This result left Huo Sining utterly bewildered.

She was unsure of what was happening. Wasn’t her Heavenly Eye a super cheat? Didn’t it have the ability to see through things? Why couldn’t it penetrate this box? What was the principle behind this?

Huo Sining couldn’t offer a reasonable explanation, but this situation made her aware that the Mysterious Iron Box was likely not as simple as she imagined. She was eager to know the reason, but even Qibao was clueless, and Gu Xu was even more an outsider. The only person who might know the answer was her elusive father, whose phone was either out of service or turned off every time she called.

Huo Sining couldn’t help sighing, reluctantly tossing the box back into her storage ring.

With the auction ending like this, both Huo Sining and Gu Xu were in somewhat low spirits, so they set off back to the Magic Capital the next day.

Previously, when she accidentally entered that temple in the Magic Capital and was enlightened by Master Miaoshan, Huo Sining had a vague thought, but she never dwelled on it. With so much happening this time in Changnan, especially learning about He Fuye’s orphanage, that thought in Huo Sining’s heart grew stronger.

Two years ago, she was just a rural orphan, helpless, solely focused on escaping her uncle and aunt’s control, and struggling in a big city alone. Back then, her mind was filled with anxiety and confusion. Her sole wish was to establish herself in the city, own a house, and have a career to sustain her life.

Yet in just two short years, everything changed. Many things happened that brought her increasing wealth and elevated her status and position, but she often remembered that flustered but steadfast girl from her rebirth.

”Apart from one’s true heart, all else is illusion. Since it’s an illusion, why cling?”

”Learning to let go is to truly possess. Good and evil, becoming a Buddha or entering demonhood, are just a thought apart.”

The advice from the old monk echoed in Huo Sining’s mind, further solidifying her inner resolve.

”I plan to establish a Beauty Foundation. In the future, Crown Jade Beauty, Fragrant Beauty, and Red Umbrella Beauty will merge into the Beauty Group, and the foundation will be incorporated too. All profits from the Beauty Group, after excluding normal expenses and operating funds, will flow into the Beauty Foundation for operation.”

Huo Sining shared this idea with Gu Xu, who curiously asked, ”Beauty Foundation? What is it for?”

Huo Sining smiled and said, ”The Foundation’s service targets will be three categories: financial aid for impoverished college students, support for children left behind in mountainous areas, and children from orphanages like Mr. He’s who are orphans or disabled.”

”Although everything seems prosperous, in many impoverished areas, many children can’t go to school. Many students who get into college are sometimes forced to forgo the chance and move south to work.”When she spoke of this, Huo Sining couldn’t help but recall her previous life, shifting between companies to earn money, taking multiple jobs, spinning like a top with no rest.

Life was so grim back then. If she’d been able to attend college, perhaps her fate would have been entirely different.

”These people don’t need much, but with their abilities back then, earning that money was as hard as reaching the sky. So I decided to help them. For impoverished college students and left-behind children in mountainous areas, the Beauty Foundation is willing to offer free support, allowing them to study with peace of mind and live without worries. We’ll also provide more advanced medical equipment and educational resources for disabled children.”

Huo Sining often saw on TV that some children couldn’t attend school due to lack of money, or some children born with physical defects were cruelly abandoned by their heartless parents.

If Huo Sining was still an average wage earner, meticulously planning every cent to get by, she couldn’t even think of these things. But now, with money sufficient for several lifetimes, she wouldn’t need to worry about finances, and she could earn even more. In that case, why not use the money to help those in need?

Although Gu Xu was surprised by Huo Sining’s decision, he said nothing against it. Instead, he wholeheartedly supported her decision, saying with a smile:

”If you believe this is meaningful, let’s do it. And don’t just charge ahead alone — leave your man out of it — shouldn’t we cooperate and work together in times like this? For such a big thing, can I stand by idly? Don’t just exploit yourself—count Shengtang in too!”
