Seeing Shijia pick up the wooden plaque, Ye Qing hurriedly walked over and said, ”Finally found it, let’s quickly piece it together and see what it is.”

”What’s the rush!” Shijia packed the wooden plaque and said to Ye Qing, ”Inside this Demon Hideout Cave, what are you going to piece together? Let’s talk after we get out.”

”Oh, that makes sense!” Ye Qing nodded. The Demon Hideout Cave might not be dangerous for him, but it was extremely dangerous for Shijia. Not to mention, when exiting the cave later, that old fellow will likely get chased by the Devouring Demon Flowers.

”Let’s go!” Shijia beckoned, leading Ye Qing out of the cave. However, when standing outside, he wasn’t in a hurry to leave but rather curiously looked at the adjacent cave, saying, ”Is this the cave that Ancestor Chen Tuan entered?”

”Yes, what about it?” Ye Qingqi asked, wondering what thoughts Shijia had about this cave.

”Can we take a look inside?” Shijia said, ”Ancestor Chen Tuan might have left some clues here.”

Ye Qing widened his eyes and said, ”Do you need to see Taoist Sect’s things?”

”That’s not how you put it, Buddhist and Taoist Magic is one family!” Shijia paused and said, ”Moreover, who do you want to come in and take Taoist Sect’s things, Wuji that kid? If nothing else, Wuji and I are similar; he is also a Taoist Sect descendant. Entering this cave, he would be chased by the Devouring Demon Flowers like a grandson; he can’t come in alone. Then, if he asks you for help, what do you do? Would you risk bringing him in?”

Shijia’s words made Ye Qing have some thoughts indeed. After all, if Wuji comes in later, wouldn’t it be troublesome? In that case, it’s better to find the clues in this cave first and take them out, to avoid Wuji coming in and causing trouble later!

”Alright, let’s go in and take a look.” Ye Qing nodded.

Shijia happily said, ”Okay, you lead the way!”

Ye Qing, without doubt, proceeded straight into the cave Ancestor Chen Tuan had entered. After all, this wasn’t his first time here, and he was very familiar with it, naturally not afraid of encountering any other dangers.

”Inside here, it’s quite similar to the cave Patriarch Bodhidharma has entered, all just one path to the end. The clues you want are likely on the stone platform at the end, let’s go have a look.” Ye Qing explained as he walked, but after finishing the sentence, there was no response.

Ye Qing was puzzled, turned around and looked, and there was no one behind him; Shijia hadn’t followed!

”Old Bald Donkey? Old Bald Donkey?” Ye Qing called twice, inwardly puzzled; why did this old fellow suddenly slow down? He had walked over twenty meters in, yet Shijia hadn’t followed. What was he dawdling with outside?

After shouting twice with no response from outside, Ye Qing was initially surprised, then suddenly had a bad feeling. The old bastard didn’t come in, so it definitely wasn’t for any good reason!

Without more thought, Ye Qing hurriedly ran out. However, outside the cave, there wasn’t even a shadow of a person. Originally standing here, Shijia had now disappeared!

”Damn it!” Ye Qing couldn’t help but swear, knowing now that this old fellow Shijia had definitely played him. He tricked him into entering the cave Ancestor Chen Tuan had been in, yet Shijia hadn’t followed; surely off doing something shady. This bald donkey truly had bad intentions by having him lead him here!

”Old Bald Donkey! Old Bald Donkey!” Ye Qing called out while checking each nearby cave to see which cave Shijia had entered.

But after checking all the nearby caves, Shijia was nowhere to be found. Just as Ye Qing was extremely puzzled, a sudden shout from Shijia echoed from the cave at the end: ”Young Ye, help!”

Looking at that cave, Ye Qing was taken aback. It was the very cave where the Great Demon King Coffin was located, arguably the most dangerous spot in the entire Demon Hideout Cave. Why would Shijia be idly venturing into that cave?

Hearing Shijia’s urgent voice, Ye Qing didn’t think further and hurried over. However, he dared not venture too deep into this cave, because the Buddhist and Taoist magic within him clashed with the Great Demon King forces inside the cave. If he went too deep, the three forces within him might go berserk, possibly tearing his body apart.

Rushing into the cave, Ye Qing saw from a distance that Shijia was wildly sprinting towards the entrance, waving his arms. He was holding an empty scabbard, devoid of a blade, and behind him, three vines were racing toward him at an alarming speed, seemingly intent on entangling him. Shijia’s speed was fast enough, but compared to the vines, he was considerably slower, and he was about to be caught.

”What are you doing?” Ye Qing asked in surprise. How did this old guy get into this cave, and why did he provoke these vines? Ye Qing recognized these vines; they were from the Devouring Demon Flower. However, Ye Qing had never seen these vines attack people before. He had only seen the Devouring Demon Flower itself.

”Save me first!” Shijia couldn’t spare a moment to say anything else. As he shouted, a vine had already rushed over and wrapped around his ankle.

”Damn it!” Shijia cursed and turned around, lifting the scabbard in his hand, and slashed toward the vine.

The vine was struck by the scabbard. Although it wasn’t cut through, it seemed to feel pain and retracted directly. Taking advantage of this moment, Shijia got up again and ran forward. However, more vines were pursuing him from behind. Judging by the situation, the vines were increasing in number and were about to surround him.

At this moment, Ye Qing also ran over and shouted, ”What kind of trouble did you get into? What exactly did you do?”

Shijia said nothing, grabbed Ye Qing by the collar, and directly threw him towards the encroaching vines.

”Damn it!” Ye Qing couldn’t help but curse. This **** bald guy really did something so despicable and shameless again.

Ye Qing landed on the vine, and this time, the vine didn’t avoid him like the Devouring Demon Flower but directly wrapped around him, dragging him deeper into the cave.

Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat. If he was dragged in, wouldn’t he die here in this cave?

”Baldy, save me!” Ye Qing called urgently.

Shijia had already run far away, his voice echoing back: ”Young Ye, don’t worry, you won’t die. The Buddha Master won’t wait for you; I must run now!”

”**** your grandpa!” Ye Qing finally couldn’t hold back, but there was no sound outside anymore, indicating that Shijia had indeed run far off. Meanwhile, the vines behind him were dragging Ye Qing deeper into the cave, and the Buddhist and Taoist powers within him, under the threat of the Great Demon King’s power, started to stir restlessly, even showing a tendency to confront the Great Demon King’s power.

This situation Ye Qing had witnessed before. He knew very well what the result would be if his power went berserk. The Great Demon King’s power was too strong; his internal Buddhist and Taoist powers were far inferior. If provoked by the Great Demon King’s power, his powers would go berserk, potentially tearing his body apart. If his body were torn apart, his life would end here.

Feeling the tumultuous surge of power within him growing stronger, Ye Qing’s heart sank to the depths. Could it be that he was truly going to end his life here this time? That bald fool Shijia, he had trusted him, yet Shijia intended to kill him?

Lost in chaotic thoughts, Ye Qing was left with only hatred for Shijia, forgetting to pay attention to where he was being taken. As the vines continued to retreat deeper into the cave, Ye Qing was dragged deeper as well. Finally, Ye Qing found himself beside the coffin in the depths of the cave.

Upon seeing the coffin, Ye Qing finally came to his senses, remembering where he was. This coffin belonged to the Great Demon King, meaning Ye Qing was now beside the Great Demon King’s coffin!

”This…” Ye Qing looked around in astonishment, confirming he was indeed next to the Great Demon King’s coffin, but he was even more surprised.

It is crucial to note that the Buddhist and Taoist magical powers within Ye Qing were currently coexisting. When he first came in, his internal power was agitated by the Great Demon King’s force, nearly costing him his life. If it weren’t for the demon pet taking him out, Ye Qing might have died here. But this time, things were different. He had already arrived beside the Great Demon King’s coffin. Yet why didn’t he feel any discomfort internally?

Though the power within him was undoubtedly surging, Ye Qing clearly felt that the power wasn’t going berserk. This meant that the power wouldn’t harm his body. What exactly was happening?

With doubts in his mind, Ye Qing slowly stood up, curiously looking around. However, as he stood, Ye Qing suddenly remembered another matter. Why was he able to stand in front of the Great Demon King’s coffin?

Previously, when Ye Qing entered, the closer he got to the Great Demon King’s coffin, the greater the pressure became. Towards the end, even lying down was difficult, let alone standing. Unless a demon pet brought him over personally, Ye Qing could not withstand the pressure. But why, this time, was he able to withstand it? And standing beside the Great Demon King’s coffin seemed to carry no pressure at all. What was going on?

While Ye Qing was in shock, he suddenly noticed the string of Taoist Sovereigns on his right wrist was emitting a faint blue light. Since Ye Qing killed the Young Master of the Sword Saint Sect last time, it hadn’t glowed again.
