Urban Martial Saint

Fu Qingping and Shen Tianjun were truly the ones worrying about this matter, as they had also seen the current situation of the World Alliance. Therefore, they gathered together, prepared to discuss a strategy to make the World Alliance more cohesive.

Ye Qing wasn’t very skilled in these matters; in reality, he currently lacked the ability to command those masters. The ones truly capable of commanding these masters were Fu Qingping and Shijia, two masters beyond peerless. In fact, it wasn’t possible for the two of them to involve themselves too much in these affairs. Therefore, how to handle the current situation relied on Shen Tianjun and the others to worry about.

Seeing the situation the few were studying together, an idea suddenly struck Ye Qing’s mind. Actually, he had never thought of becoming the Alliance Leader of the World. In his heart, the most suitable person to be the alliance leader was Helian Tiehua, who once commanded the entire Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance. However, Helian Tiehua certainly couldn’t lead the World Alliance; even if Ye Qing were willing, it’s estimated the members of the World Alliance wouldn’t agree. Therefore, this candidate was impossible.

Aside from Helian Tiehua, in Ye Qing’s heart, the most suitable candidate was Shen Tianjun. Shen Tianjun was called the Southern Fist King, his prowess among peak masters was outstanding. Moreover, he was righteous and bold, truly capable of winning respect through virtue. If he were to become the alliance leader, it would indeed be very suitable. Just, Ye Qing knew in his heart, letting Shen Tianjun become the alliance leader was still impossible. Because, the members of the World Alliance each harbored their own motives; no one could find a powerful person to be the alliance leader.

Ye Qing had always been contemplating how to step down from this position and let Shen Tianjun take over as the alliance leader. Yet now, seeing this situation, he suddenly had an idea. Perhaps, instead of stepping down, he could give Shen Tianjun a very high position. This way, he would still be the alliance leader, and with Shen Tianjun not being the leader, people wouldn’t have as many concerns. Also, with Shen Tianjun holding such a position, he could legitimately manage the World Alliance, further uniting it—truly a win-win.

With this thought, Ye Qing didn’t hesitate, directly walking over to share his idea with Shen Tianjun and the others. Shen Tianjun didn’t expect Ye Qing to have such an idea, naturally surprised. However, Fu Qingping and the Wolf Monk greatly agreed with Ye Qing’s proposal, immediately settling the matter.

Of course, proposing the idea was one thing, discussing it among a few people another, but making the members of the World Alliance agree was yet another matter. Although Ye Qing wasn’t stepping down from the alliance leader position, to suddenly elevate Shen Tianjun’s position could provoke opposition. Therefore, figuring out how to implement it needed careful planning. Moreover, the key was obtaining the support of Fu Qingping and Shijia, the two masters beyond peerless.

Fu Qingping was naturally supportive, and that night Ye Qing went to Shijia to discuss the matter.

After hearing Ye Qing’s words, Shijia immediately became enthusiastic, slapping the table and shouting, ”Hey, Young Ye, your idea is to have me help you in promoting Shen Tianjun as the Vice Alliance Hierarch, right? Then I must ask you, why should I help you?”

Shijia had faced many difficulties from Ye Qing recently, and in the morning, Ye Qing even threatened him. Now, with Ye Qing finally seeking his help, he naturally wouldn’t miss the chance, clearly ready to extort Ye Qing hard.

”I’ve told you the matter, whether you help me or not is up to you.” Ye Qing smiled slightly, looking at Shijia, ”Don’t forget, in a couple of days, we’re entering the Demon Hideout Cave; aren’t you afraid of getting stuck there and not being able to come out?”

Shijia’s eyes widened immediately, ”You’re threatening me, aren’t you?”

Ye Qing replied, ”You could also think of it as me discussing with you; ultimately, it’s up to you whether you decide to help or not!”

”Is this your tone when discussing matters with someone?” Shijia snarled, blowing his beard and glaring.

Ye Qing: ”Then just consider it as me threatening you.”

”...” Shijia was rendered speechless; how could they chat under such circumstances? The Demon Hideout Cave was fraught with dangers; if Ye Qing truly intended to sabotage him inside, then he would be at risk. Therefore, he needed to agree on this matter.

”This matter isn’t suitable to be handled directly like this,” Shijia said. ”You also know I’m about to go wandering again. When I’m gone, only Fu Qingping will be left; can he intimidate so many people? So relying on our combined intimidation to forcibly elevate Shen Tianjun, isn’t very stable!”

”What do you mean?” Ye Qing asked in surprise, watching Shijia—was there another idea?

”Let me think about it, anyway I’ll definitely help you by tomorrow,” Shijia gripped Ye Qing’s arm. ”However, let me be clear. If I help you elevate Shen Tianjun to the position of Vice Alliance Hierarch, once inside the Demon Hideout Cave, you must ensure my safety.”

Seeing Shijia’s concern over the Demon Hideout Cave, Ye Qing couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly, ”Don’t worry, I’m not like you; would I deceive you?”

”When you say this, why does it feel particularly unpleasant to hear?” Shijia frowned.

Ye Qing: ”But I’m speaking the truth.”

The next morning, Ye Qing, as the Alliance Leader of the World, gathered all the members of the World Alliance in the main building’s conference room, effectively holding the first official meeting of the World Alliance.

Observing the expressions of those present, it was clear they didn’t really care about the World Alliance. Even though Ye Qing sat in the chief seat as the alliance leader, the crowd barely looked at him directly.

It was understandable; Ye Qing’s level of skill as the alliance leader was because everyone believed he couldn’t manage the World Alliance, thus they pushed him into the position. In today’s society, power is respected; without sufficient strength, how could these people place Ye Qing at the forefront? Ye Qing’s role as the alliance leader was merely titular, lacking any substantial authority. Being able to gather them all was due to Fu Qingping and Shijia.

Fu Qingping and Shijia sat in guest seats; neither were members of the World Alliance but served as its stabilizing force. It was because both of them were present that members genuinely listened to Ye Qing speak.

Seeing everyone gathered, Ye Qing disregarded their expressions, offered a few casual remarks, then said directly: ”For these two days, Master Shijia and I will be heading out for some matters. I’ve invited everyone over today to discuss who should handle the World Alliance affairs after I leave?”

At these words, even those previously dismissive of Ye Qing immediately perked up—this was significant. Ye Qing planned to hand over the World Alliance’s affairs to someone, implying that person would wield power within the alliance. Although Ye Qing couldn’t manage the World Alliance’s matters, his choice of anyone to take charge meant they held different significance. If the chosen individual were powerful, they might gradually acquire authority within the World Alliance.

The World Alliance had developed to this point, boasting formidable strength, far surpassing the Seven Rudders of Hong Alliance and Twelve Green Halls. With such strength, anyone would envy it. Those present, even the hermit-like individuals, perked up upon hearing this; before power, who wouldn’t be envious?

”The alliance leader intends to select someone to handle the World Alliance’s affairs; does the leader have a suitable candidate in mind?” Among the crowd, an elderly man stroked his long beard, inquired. This elder, named Mo Baichou, was also a peak master. Furthermore, behind him stood an entire family, and a brother equally a peak master. The Mo Family was also powerful within the World Alliance. Thus, upon hearing Ye Qing’s intention to select someone to manage the alliance, he became intrigued.

Mo Baichou asking Ye Qing like this was truly an effort to gauge Ye Qing’s thought process. If Ye Qing offered a candidate, opposition from below would arise swiftly. Everyone’s intentions were identical; if Ye Qing indeed had a candidate, this meant he intended to gradually take control of the World Alliance. If it were true, then everyone would immediately oppose him and remain wary of him ensuring he doesn’t truly grasp control of the alliance.

Ye Qing certainly understood everyone’s intentions; thus, when he heard Mo Baichou’s inquiry, he shook his head, saying, ”The matter Master Shijia and I are heading out for was only notified last night. This occurred too hastily; I haven’t had the chance to think about it. Thus, I’ve invited everyone to discuss whether anyone has a suitable candidate.”

Upon hearing this, the crowd felt slightly reassured. Without having a suitable candidate arranged by Ye Qing, it seemed this was indeed a sudden occurrence, not planned by Ye Qing. Hence, the crowd’s wariness towards Ye Qing diminished.

Of course, they then began discussing vociferously. While seemingly debating who should manage the World Alliance’s affairs, in reality, these individuals were each scheming, everyone wanting control over the alliance. Therefore, their discussion was mere nonsense; how could they possibly reach a conclusion?

In truth, their individual agendas played into Ye Qing’s hands perfectly. If they indeed united and chose a person to manage the alliance’s issues, then Ye Qing couldn’t carry out his subsequent plan, making matters troublesome. Now, amid their discord, self-dissension, Ye Qing’s plans could be executed smoothly.
