Urban Martial Saint

The Wanyan Family has been plotting for a millennium, with each generation leaving only the main members of the primary lineage, while other less important and branch members are sent out, changing their names to work for the Wanyan Family. It can be said that the Wanyan Family is like a large tree, continuously extending while scattering its seeds to different places to take root and sprout. These budding small trees still belong to the Wanyan Family and are all working for it.

So, saying that the current Wanyan Family is far superior in strength to the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance and the Twelve Green Halls is not an exaggeration. After a millennium of accumulation, the members of the main lineage are already countless, not to mention the branches. Each branch, after this thousand years, could at least form over a dozen families. The result of so many branches combined is self-evident. The present Wanyan Family can be said to have a base in every city in Huaxia, which is really no understatement, because they have too many people.

Of course, most of these people have changed their names and identities. For example, there was Nine-Fingers Wu Yong before, and the Seventh Elder hidden among the Iga-ryu; these are all branch members of the Wanyan Family. Since people from the Wanyan Family were able to infiltrate the Wo Country’s Ninja, one can imagine how vast the branch forces of this family are.

On Mount Tai, there happens to be a branch stronghold of the Wanyan Family. The matters of Wanyan Second Master and the others coming to Mount Tai were entirely arranged by the people from this stronghold. This stronghold is very secretive, even the people from the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance and the Twelve Green Halls haven’t found out about it. But, who could have thought that at this exact time, the people with the last name Wanyan at this stronghold were all killed, not a single one left!

If this matter wasn’t aimed at the Wanyan Family, then it would be impossible. Wanyan Second Master is no fool, he naturally knows that something is definitely amiss. The first point is that someone knows about this stronghold, so this person must be quite familiar with the Wanyan Family. In front of this person, the Wanyan Family is almost transparent, which is the most dangerous thing. Because the things that the Wanyan Family has always been planning are all conducted covertly. If someone knows about their plans, then the plans of the Wanyan Family are likely in danger.

So, this matter is no longer just about people in a stronghold being killed; it concerns a major aspect of the thousand-year plan of the Wanyan Family. It’s very natural for everyone in the Wanyan Family to be extremely anxious. After all, their thousand-year plans surely shouldn’t be ruined overnight.

Wanyan Second Master led his brothers down the other side of Mount Tai, where there are more cliffs and steep walls, practically no roads. However, they are all Peak Masters, so coming down the mountain was not difficult, only a bit slower, but it allowed them to avoid the masters on the other side.

After descending, Wanyan Second Master first contacted a car to pick them up. Instead of heading directly to the stronghold, they turned to rush towards a city next to Mount Tai.

This situation left the brothers following behind quite puzzled. One of them asked, ”Second Brother, aren’t we going to the stronghold?”

”What’s the point of going there now?” Wanyan Second Master glared at him and said, ”All the people with the last name Wanyan in the stronghold have already been killed. Going there now, we can’t save anyone.”

Another one said, ”But we should at least go investigate who did this, right?”

”The necessary information will be sent over later, and we can check it in the car,” Wanyan Second Master took a deep breath and said gravely, ”The most critical thing now isn’t to investigate this matter, but to secure our stronghold. Since this person attacked our stronghold here at Mount Tai, who knows whether they are aware of our other strongholds. If they know about our other strongholds, they might attack them too. The stronghold closest to Mount Tai is in Wuhui City. If we head to Wuhui City, we might be able to get there before them and secure the stronghold there!”

Everyone nodded in agreement; Wanyan Second Master’s consideration was indeed correct.

The distance from Mount Tai to the neighboring Wuhui City is not far, and they were driving quickly, taking less than an hour and a half to reach Wuhui City. The Wanyan Family’s stronghold in Wuhui City is located in a local night arena. The owner of this night arena is named Liang Juncai, who also controls a considerable amount of underground forces in Wuhui City. This Liang Juncai is actually also from the Wanyan Family, real name Wan Yan Jun. However, only the high-level members of the Wanyan Family and Liang Juncai himself know about this. No one else knows about Liang Juncai’s background.

In fact, all of the Wanyan Family’s external strongholds are extremely hidden and safe. The members of the Wanyan Family are people that no one would ever suspect. Even the person next to you could be a member of the Wanyan Family. In such a case, if the Wanyan Family’s stronghold is discovered, it’s quite significant. Wanyan Second Master’s urgency is due to this reason; he suspects there’s a mole within the family. Otherwise, such highly confidential information could never have gotten out. Therefore, he must find out who the mole in the family is.

Although the Mount Tai stronghold has already been attacked, going back there now is of little use because those who attacked the stronghold must have already left. Wanyan Second Master led the group to Wuhui City, saying it was to protect this stronghold, but in fact, it was to wait for those who attacked the stronghold, to capture these people directly.

Just as they were about to reach the Wuhui City stronghold, images from the Mount Tai stronghold finally came through. Everyone opened their phones to take a look; the pictures showed a total of seven deceased individuals. As previously reported, these seven deceased individuals were all members of the Wanyan Family. However, none of the non-Wanyan named individuals in the stronghold died. This situation was even more shocking because the attackers not only understood the situation of their stronghold but also figured out who among them had the last name Wanyan, which shows just how much the attackers knew about their situation.

”Second Brother, the attacker is very powerful!” said a man sitting in the back in a deep voice, ”All the deceased were killed instantly without any sign of resistance. Among the seven, there was even a Top-Level Master, who didn’t have a chance to resist. The attacker might be a Peak Master!”

”I’m afraid it’s not as simple as just one Peak Master!” another man said gravely, ”Look closely at how these people died. They all died in about the same location, meaning they were likely ambushed and killed in the same place. There were seven of them in total, none of them weak in strength. How could a single Peak Master kill seven people at once without giving them any power to fight back?”

Hearing this, everyone’s expression changed. Wanyan Second Master furrowed his brows and stared at the photos for a long time before saying deeply, ”The attackers are at least three Peak Masters!”

”Three Peak Masters!” Everyone looked at each other; this was no small number. Peak Masters are incredibly rare. Moreover, the fact that three Peak Masters attacked doesn’t mean that the attackers only have these three Peak Masters; their strength should not be underestimated.

”Judging from the time of death, they were killed during the Mount Tai battle,” another man curiously stated, ”But during the Mount Tai battle, almost all the Peak Masters were on Mount Tai. What kind of force could still command three Peak Masters?”

Everyone exchanged glances; this question was indeed very crucial. Who on earth did this, and who is targeting the Wanyan Family?

Wanyan Second Master remained silent. Based on the attackers’ capabilities, he already had a guess in his mind. However, he really didn’t want to go down that line of thinking. If it really is the force he suspects, this matter could become very troublesome!

Amidst the exclamations and discussions, the vehicle finally arrived outside the night arena. They did not stay long; upon reaching the night arena, they drove straight into the backyard and hid the car, while Wanyan Second Master led the group directly to the top floor.

Liang Juncai lived on the top floor, and usually, the main members of the Wanyan Family came straight to the top floor to find him. The elevator to the top floor requires a key to operate, which only Liang Juncai and the high-level members of the Wanyan Family possess. Thus, for the high-level members of the Wanyan Family, meeting Liang Juncai was quite easy, just by using the key to access the elevator.

Wanyan Second Master and his group went all the way up without any obstruction to the top floor. The décor on the top floor is quite luxurious, a place usually inhabited by Liang Juncai and the Wanyan Family members who live there. Therefore, the top floor doesn’t usually have many people.

As soon as Wanyan Second Master and his men entered the corridor, they caught a whiff of blood. This change made several people’s faces tense. Wanyan Second Master exclaimed, ”Not good, we’re too late!”

The others didn’t waste words, quickly heading towards the direction of the blood smell. They ran directly to an office at the end of the hall. As soon as they opened the door, a person rushed out, striking at them.

Leading the charge was one of the Wanyan Family’s masters. Facing this sudden attack, the master was startled because the assailant’s strength was too strong. In such a situation, he had no idea how to block the attack and could only hurriedly step back to dodge.

Fortunately, the others who followed him were also experts, rushing forward to strike back at the person inside, driving him back into the office.
