Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing’s words almost made Shijia spew blood from anger. He scratched his bald head vigorously and said, ”Young Ye, I won’t waste words with you, just tell me if you’ll help or not?”

”The matter I just asked you about, if you explain it clearly, I’m sure I’ll help you inside.” Ye Qing said, ”Don’t worry, inside the Demon Hideout Cave, I can absolutely guarantee your safety. If you don’t ask me for help, no one else can assist you. So, think carefully about how you want to decide.”

”Forget it, forget it, you’re really impossible to converse with.” Shijia waved his hand and said, ”Listen carefully, I will answer those questions one by one. Firstly, even though I’m beyond a peerless master, who says just because you’re beyond a peerless master you can enter the Demon Hideout Cave? What kind of place is the Demon Hideout Cave? It’s where the Great Demon King met his demise, where his body is buried; do you think just anyone can enter? Not even mentioning that I’m beyond a peerless master, even the Corpse Ghost Dragon back in the day barely made it alive, and once inside, there was no way out.”

Ye Qing nodded, he did believe this point. The formidable nature of the Demon Hideout Cave lies here; the Great Demon King, after all, was a figure who single-handedly challenged the powers of Buddhist and Taoist sects, his ability could indeed be described as defying the heavens. His body alone is untouchable by those who came after him, showing how formidable his strength was. This Demon Hideout Cave, known as forbidden land, is truly not a lie, and those few who can enter are the absolute elite. Ye Qing’s ability to walk to the end was merely due to a fortuitous coincidence. As for others, unless they belong to the Demon Sect, no one can walk in at all.

”As for why I’m sure Patriarch Bodhidharma left important clues inside, this is simple.” Shijia took a deep breath, took a piece of paper from his body, and handed it to Ye Qing, ”Take a close look, what is this?”

Curious, Ye Qing took the piece of paper, seeing densely drawn patterns that looked like words yet resembled a map, unclear in their meaning.

”What is this?” Ye Qing asked in surprise.

”These, I pieced together myself.”

”Pieced together yourself?” Ye Qing looked at Shijia in confusion, what does pieced together mean?

Shijia explained, ”I know Patriarch Bodhidharma ultimately acquired something very important, but this item disappeared with him. So, to find this item, one must seek clues from Bodhidharma himself. Therefore, I have been pursuing Bodhidharma’s clues, walking the paths he traveled. You know, Bodhidharma left behind The Six Ultimate Moves, and at every place where he left the move, I discovered peculiar symbols. When I pieced these symbols together, it resulted in what you see now!”

”That’s how it is!” Ye Qing suddenly understood, looking at the contents on the paper and said, ”Then what exactly is this, some words or a map?”

”That’s the problem here.” Shijia said, ”Bodhidharma left The Six Ultimate Moves in six locations, however, I’ve only been to five of these places. The last place where he left the move is in the Demon Hideout Cave, but I’ve been unable to enter. Therefore, these symbols have never been pieced together completely. To understand whether this is words or a map, one must find the last symbol, piece it all together, and then completely figure out what it is!”

At this point, Shijia looked at Ye Qing and said, ”Now you understand why I want to enter the Demon Hideout Cave, right? Among the last five caves in the Demon Hideout Cave, one is where Bodhidharma left the unique skill Power of Dragon Elephant. In other words, the last clue is definitely inside that cave. Only by entering and finding that clue can I possibly complete what’s on this paper.”

Ye Qing nodded slowly, according to Shijia, this matter is indeed not trivial, and Shijia should indeed be helped into the Demon Hideout Cave.

”The Buddhist Texts left by Bodhidharma in that cave, I’ve transcribed all, you saw them before too, yet there weren’t any special symbols.” Ye Qing said, ”Do you think Bodhidharma might have left the symbol somewhere else?”

”Impossible!” Shijia crisply shook his head, saying to Ye Qing, ”You couldn’t find it doesn’t mean I can’t. The symbol left by Bodhidharma can only be revealed using methods unique to the Buddhist Sect. Therefore, I must enter personally to find it!”

”I see.” Ye Qing nodded again, looking at the piece of paper in his hand, after a moment of silence, said, ”Then when do you plan to go?”

”In the next few days.” Seeing Ye Qing willing to assist him, Shijia was overjoyed and said, ”Let’s first go to Shenchuan City, settle the World Alliance matters there. Then, we can make a trip to Beimang Mountain. With your help, entering the Demon Hideout Cave would be no difficulty at all.”

Entering the Demon Hideout Cave, indeed poses no difficulty for Ye Qing, so he did not say much. Watching the piece of paper in his hand, working out whether it’s words or a map, he casually asked, ”By the way, what is this key item you said Bodhidharma obtained from the Buddhist Sect?”

”This I can’t disclose.” Shijia said, ”After all, this is classified information of my Buddhist Sect.”

Ye Qing didn’t ask further; if it’s someone else’s secret, probing further isn’t meaningful.

”But you previously told me, I’ll keep you safe going in and out of the Demon Hideout Cave, and you’ll reveal the secrets of the Honored Buddha to me.” Ye Qing said.

Shijia patted Ye Qing’s shoulder, confidently said, ”Don’t worry, I always keep my word, would I mislead you?”

Ye Qing glanced at Shijia; for some reason, he always felt this old chap wasn’t being fully sincere. This affair might not be that simple.

However, Ye Qing firstly wanted to know the secrets of the Honored Buddha. Secondly, since it involved classified information from the Buddhist Sect, and specifically Bodhidharma’s matters, Ye Qing would of course lend a hand. After all, with global chaos approaching, Shijia is the foremost master in the Buddhist Sect, surely he has a reason for doing things.

That afternoon, the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance arranged a plane to send everyone to Shenchuan City. Strangely though, Fu Qingping and Shijia both were unwilling to fly. Seeing no other option, Ye Qing asked someone to drive them to Shenchuan City, naturally which would take a bit longer, roughly over ten hours.

Before returning to Shenchuan City, Ye Qing had already contacted Li Lianshan to arrange for a suitably spacious estate. After all, Ye Qing had established the World Alliance, and he didn’t intend to have further conflicts with the Supreme Elders of the Seven Steering Committees, so upon returning, he had to move out of their premises. Additionally, quite a few people followed Ye Qing to Shenchuan City, they needed a spacious place to settle down.

In fact, the estates occupied by the Seven Steering Committees were properties of Li Lianshan and Ye Qing. Nowadays, with Ye Qing’s influence and strength, he could entirely force the Seven Steering Committees to relinquish the property. However, Helian Tiehua had helped Ye Qing several times before, and under such circumstances, Ye Qing couldn’t possibly attack him when he’s down, so he spoke little regarding that estate issue.

Of course, Ye Qing also had Li Lianshan arrange another estate, which was intended for the Twelve Green Halls. Ye Qing brought them to Shenchuan City to suppress the Seven Steering Committees, preventing the newly emerged members from the Seven Families from seeking trouble with him.

Arranging two estates was no challenge for Li Lianshan. He now claimed half the city status in Shenchuan City, previously taking over a lot of Huangfu Ziyu’s industries, and almost all of the nightlife venues belonged to him. It’s truly described as earning gold every day. Not just two estates, even ten or eight, he could arrange easily.

As the plane landed at Shenchuan City’s airport, Ye Qing saw from afar Li Lianshan leading a group standing beneath the plane. Behind him were dozens of cars, prepared specifically to pick up Ye Qing and the others. The scene was quite grand. Since Ye Qing told him that those coming were masters among masters, Li Lianshan dared not neglect them. Thus, he arranged a grand spectacle to welcome them, wanting to first give these people a shock.

Seeing such a scene, members of the World Alliance appeared satisfied. Some are carefree wanderers and don’t care about such things. Others are characters from hidden world clans and naturally care about the grand view. But with their clans hidden for so long, their riches couldn’t keep up. Li Lianshan’s extravagant display showed them Ye Qing’s robust financial strength, naturally pleasing them. At least, coming to Shenchuan City, their future life won’t be lacking.

Ye Qing and his brother Li Lianshan met, naturally said little extra, exchanged punches to each other’s shoulders, all feelings conveyed within.

Under the arrangement of Ye Qing and Li Lianshan, members of the World Alliance left separately by car. Ye Qing, with Huangfu Ziyu and the people of Huangfu Household, bid farewell to Helian Tiehua, then also left by car.

As Ye Qing and the others drove straight from the airport, members of the Seven Steering Committees of Hong Alliance looked on enviously. Although their influence is strong, it’s primarily in the North. This was Shenchuan City; their influence here was inadequate. Therefore, the cars of the Seven Steering Committees were still waiting outside.

In truth, Li Lianshan could have their cars brought inside. But Li Lianshan indeed held some grudge against them. After all, in his heyday, the Seven Steering Committees made a strong entry into Shenchuan City, pressing him until he couldn’t raise his head. Fortunately, Ye Qing’s influence gradually expanded, and he finally got the chance to challenge them, which he dared not previously.
