Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing also noticed the eye of that Fat Jiao, seeing it look at the Stone Platform with different eyes, Ye Qing knew that there must be something special about this Stone Platform, which is why Fat Jiao was particularly nervous.

Ye Qing didn’t know what happened after he fell into this Cave, so he also didn’t know the situation of Fat Jiao coming down in a panic pursuit. However, Fat Jiao blocking the Stone Chamber entrance without entering already made Ye Qing suspect if there was anything wrong inside this Stone Chamber. Now, Fat Jiao’s eyes further confirmed Ye Qing’s suspicion, there must be something inside this Stone Chamber that Fat Jiao particularly cares about and is nervous about. Moreover, what Fat Jiao is nervous and cares about must be related to this Stone Platform!

Thinking about this, Ye Qing started to examine the Stone Platform even more closely. He reached out and gently stroked the Stone Platform to see if there were any special marks on it. But the result disappointed him; apart from being a bit smooth on the surface, there was nothing special about the Stone Platform.

However, as Ye Qing carefully observed the Stone Platform, Fat Jiao became more irritable. It stood at the door, continuously roaring as if trying to scare or threaten Ye Qing, telling him not to touch the Stone Platform. It seemed very nervous and dissatisfied with Ye Qing’s actions and wanted Ye Qing to stop as soon as possible.

Since Ye Qing knew there was something wrong with the Stone Platform, he wouldn’t easily stop. Seeing Fat Jiao’s eyes, Ye Qing knew his guess was absolutely correct. He walked around the Stone Platform a few more times, carefully observing everything about it, trying to find any problematic areas. However, the result remained the same, finding nothing special; it seemed just like an ordinary Stone Platform.

Unable to find anything, Ye Qing was quite surprised. Since Fat Jiao was so concerned and attentive to the Stone Platform, it indicated there must be something wrong with it, but why couldn’t he find any key points? Could it be that the mechanism wasn’t on the Stone Platform?

Ye Qing didn’t understand the Dao of mechanisms, only learned a little from Handsome Fatty Wang; the real expert was Handsome Fatty Wang. If Handsome Fatty Wang were here, he could definitely find the mechanism quickly, but Ye Qing found it difficult. Still, Ye Qing was trapped here anyway, with plenty of time. Unable to find anything special on the Stone Platform, Ye Qing stood up and started searching other parts of the Stone Chamber to see if the mechanism was placed elsewhere.

After searching for a round, Ye Qing still found nothing. Conversely, seeing Ye Qing not approaching the Stone Platform anymore, Fat Jiao became more relaxed. Although its eyes were still filled with hostility towards Ye Qing, it was evident it was no longer worried and anxious as before.

While searching around, Ye Qing also subtly observed Fat Jiao’s expressions. Seeing it, he knew he was searching the wrong direction; the key problem was still on the Stone Platform. So, after searching without finding anything, Ye Qing returned near the Stone Platform, staring at it carefully, contemplating where he might have missed earlier. This Stone Platform definitely had issues, but why couldn’t he discover anything?

Seeing Ye Qing focus on the Stone Platform again, Fat Jiao grew nervous once more. This creature was like a child who didn’t know how to hide its feelings, seemingly smart but unable to conceal its thoughts, reflected clearly in its eyes, letting everyone know what was on its mind.

Seeing Fat Jiao’s nervous expression, Ye Qing deduced the problem must be on the Stone Platform. He slowly stretched out his hand, gently knocking around the edges of the Stone Platform, trying to find the key question. However, after knocking around, Ye Qing still found nothing; the Stone Platform was solid, impossible to have any special place inside.

”What’s going on?” Ye Qing couldn’t help but murmur softly, stared at the Stone Platform for a long time, and suddenly pressed hard on it, wondering if it was a pressure mechanism. But the result was the same; he couldn’t press it down. Even when he jumped up, putting his full weight on the Stone Platform, nothing changed.

Just as Ye Qing was about to give up, his gaze inadvertently swept across the stone wall opposite, where a faint painting unexpectedly appeared, which Ye Qing hadn’t noticed before.

Ye Qing’s heart skipped a beat, quickly running to the stone wall, inspecting closely, only to find nothing on it. This left Ye Qing even more surprised; he reached out to feel along the stone wall, yet found no trace.

”Huh?” Ye Qing whispered softly. He had clearly seen a painting on the stone wall earlier, seeming to depict a person. Though vague, Ye Qing clearly knew he had seen the image. But why, upon approaching the stone wall, couldn’t he see the painting anymore?

Ye Qing turned to look at the Stone Platform then back at the stone wall, suddenly having a bold thought: Could it be that this stone wall painting is related to the Stone Platform?

Thinking of this, Ye Qing immediately retreated next to the Stone Platform. Mimicking his earlier action, he slowly placed both hands on the Stone Platform, then jumped up, fixing his gaze on the stone wall. This time, as he jumped and left the ground, he again saw the previously appearing painting on the stone wall. Though still vague, Ye Qing indeed saw it!

”Just as expected!” Ye Qing was overjoyed, finally understanding what was going on. It turned out there were paintings on the stone wall, but to see them, he had to be on the Stone Platform; this was the real mechanism.

Without hesitation, Ye Qing quickly climbed onto the Stone Platform and continued to look; this time, he still didn’t see the painting. However, as he slowly bent his body, the painting gradually became visible. Moreover, as he bent further, the painting became increasingly clear. Initially faint, it became very clear toward the end. But when Ye Qing bent further, suppressing his body downward, the painting started to become blurry again.

This process further confirmed for Ye Qing. Indeed, from the Stone Platform, the surrounding paintings could be seen. But the critical issue was also having a height limitation from the Stone Platform; the vision couldn’t be too high or too low, or the paintings would dim. Ye Qing carefully measured his previous height and found sitting cross-legged with a straight body on the Stone Platform showed the clearest painting.

”So this Stone Platform has this function!” Ye Qing mumbled in his heart. Observing the smoothness of the Stone Platform’s surface, he estimated it had been sat upon for years. It seemed the person who left the painting hoped that future generations, like him, could sit on the Stone Platform and view his drawings.

This mechanism, let alone Ye Qing, even Handsome Fatty Wang Nine-Fingers Wu Yong wouldn’t be able to detect it. Ye Qing only discovered this by coincidence; otherwise, even if he searched the Stone Chamber his whole life, he probably wouldn’t discover these things.

While Ye Qing marveled at the wisdom of the person who left this mechanism, anxious roars echoed from the doorway. Ye Qing turned to see Fat Jiao standing at the door, flailing its fangs and claws at him, clearly extremely anxious. It valued the secret on the Stone Platform dearly, and now Ye Qing was sitting upon it, so Fat Jiao’s urgency was understandable. However, for some reason, it hadn’t entered the Stone Chamber, and despite Ye Qing discovering the Stone Platform’s secret, it only roared angrily outside.

Seeing Fat Jiao’s extreme anxiety, Ye Qing knew the stone wall’s painting must hold some special importance. Hence, he ignored Fat Jiao, sitting cross-legged on the Stone Platform, attentively observing the stone wall painting.

Once Ye Qing sat on the Stone Platform, he then realized that not only did the stone wall have paintings, but the surrounding stone walls were full of them. However, these paintings were only visible when Ye Qing sat here. If he didn’t sit on the Stone Platform, he could never see these paintings his entire life.

These paintings all depicted a person’s backside. They seemed less like paintings but from Ye Qing’s perspective, more like a person’s back projection onto the stone wall. Each image appeared as if carved from a person’s back.

The backs sat on a stone platform just like the one Ye Qing was sitting on, identical. Appearing as if the backs in the images were based on someone sitting on the Stone Platform, uniquely, each back had a different posture. Although all sat on the Stone Platform, each back had a distinct pose, remarkably strange.

Ye Qing examined these back images, inexplicably feeling that the postures must hold some special significance. After all, if these postures weren’t unique, why would someone go to such trouble, create such mechanisms, and store these images in such a manner on the stone walls?

Just by looking, it was certainly impossible to glean the postures’ special significance. After carefully observing them, Ye Qing burst with an idea, mimicking the form depicted in one of the images, assuming one of the postures.

This mere assumption triggered a rapid stir within Ye Qing’s body, between two previously dormant forces!
