Urban Martial Saint

When Ye Qing woke up, he was lying in a mountain forest. The sky was dark, and there was a fire burning beside him, near which sat a person.

Because it was too dark, and the person was sitting somewhat far from the fire, Ye Qing couldn’t make out his features. However, the metallic sheen of his black hair already confirmed his identity, it was none other than the top master of the Taoist Sect, Wuji!

Not far from Wuji, there was a box about three feet long and one foot wide. Ye Qing had seen this box before and knew that inside it lay the famous Tianzhu Sword. Ye Qing had seen this sword unsheathed while at the Doomsday Sect; its power was indeed terrifying, it had chased away The Immortal Lord upon being drawn, demonstrating its formidable strength.

Ye Qing’s memory remained at the moment he was struck by the Undying Solemn Soul of The Immortal Lord, after which he fell into a complete coma, and what happened subsequently he didn’t know, nor did he know why he was here now. Looking around, in this forest there were only Wuji and himself; Du Canglang and Wen’er were nowhere to be seen, and he didn’t know where they had gone.

While Ye Qing was puzzled, not understanding how he ended up here, a voice suddenly came: ”You’re awake!”

Ye Qing looked up, Wuji was still sitting cross-legged with his eyes closed, seemingly motionless. However, Ye Qing knew, this was certainly Wuji speaking, as there was no one else here.

”What’s this place?” Ye Qing rubbed his head, slightly moved his body, and immediately felt a severe pain throughout, making even lifting a hand unbearably difficult.

Wuji said: ”Mount Wendao.”

”Mount Wendao?” Ye Qing looked around again, surprised: ”Weren’t we at Mount Duwang?”

Wuji: ”That was three days ago!”

”Three days ago?” Ye Qing widened his eyes, astonished: ”I... how long was I unconscious?”

”Three days.”

”What?” Ye Qing exclaimed, ”I was unconscious for three days? What happened? Why was I unconscious for so long? And, what about the girl who was with me? Is she alright?”

”She left.” Wuji replied.

”Left? Where did she go?” Ye Qing asked urgently, Mount Duwang was fraught with danger, and Wen’er’s abilities were insufficient to navigate it alone, who knows what could happen.

”That I don’t know.” Wuji glanced at Ye Qing, said: ”How do you feel now?”

Ye Qing was still worried about Wen’er’s situation, but hearing Wuji’s question, he replied promptly: ”I’m fine.”

”Good.” Wuji nodded, looking towards a tall mountain behind him, said: ”Since you’re fine, take a walk up the mountain.”

”Up the mountain? For what?” Ye Qing asked curiously.

”To save your life.” Wuji answered.

”To save my life?” Ye Qing was even more puzzled, looking at Wuji with a face full of confusion, unsure what he meant.

”This mountain is called Mount Wendao because it has a stone known as Wendao Stone. This Wendao Stone is the stone upon which Ancestor Chen Tuan sat to attain Dao. Chen Tuan himself was not destined for Dao, only by acquiring the Karmic Dao left behind by Great Sage Guiguzi, did he achieve future accomplishments. However, after achieving Dao, Chen Tuan had to forsake worldly possessions to progress further, the Karmic Dao that aided him now restricted him. So, there’s a rumor that Chen Tuan left this Karmic Dao within Wendao Stone!” Wuji paused, looked at Ye Qing, ”Your fortune reaches its end, fate no longer favors you. If you don’t reconnect your opportunity, surely you won’t live much longer. Thus, if you can obtain the Karmic Dao left by Ancestor Chen Tuan, you can extend your Qi Luck and keep yourself alive. Moreover, you can extend the Karmic Dao of Chen Tuan, achieving the extraordinary.”

Listening to Wuji, Ye Qing couldn’t help but look towards the mountain peak. He had a vague notion of his life being close to an end, just didn’t realize the situation had grown so dire. As the top master in the Taoist Sect, Wuji’s words had to be trusted. So to speak, Wuji brought him here to Mount Wendao to aid him?

Ye Qing had heard of Ancestor Chen Tuan’s karmic Dao before, naturally knowing how rare a karmic Dao is. Ancestor Chen Tuan received a karmic Dao, transforming from an ordinary person into a highly esteemed master in the Taoist Sect. This shows how beneficial a karmic Dao can be to a person. If I could obtain this karmic Dao, then I might be able to change the current situation.

”So when shall we enter the mountains?” Ye Qing asked.

”Since your body is fine now, you can enter the mountains right away.” Wuji waved his hand, and the box containing the Tianzhu Sword flew directly to Ye Qing’s front.

Wuji said, ”This Tianzhu Sword is for you to use as protection on your journey. The mountain roads are rugged, and there are many ferocious beasts. Without strength, be sure to stay safe!”

”Ah?” Ye Qing looked at Wuji in astonishment and said, ”Elder, aren’t you going into the mountains with me?”

”I’m not entering the mountains.” Wuji shook his head and said, ”If I enter the mountains with you, you would never find the Wendao Stone in your lifetime.”

”Why?” Ye Qing asked curiously.

”I’ve been to Mount Wendao thrice, but each time I came back empty-handed. The Taoist Sect values timely fate, and thrice I’ve failed to see the Wendao Stone, indicating I am not destined for this karmic Dao, and ultimately cannot see it.” Wuji glanced at Ye Qing and said, ”Although the Wendao Stone is on Mount Wendao, whether you can obtain it depends on your personal opportunity. The word ’fate’ is most marvelous. For those with fate, the Wendao Stone is right in front of them. For those without fate, even moving the entire mountain will not let them see the Wendao Stone!”

Ye Qing nodded slowly. He didn’t quite believe in these things before, but now he had to believe. Just like the tomb of the Duwang Sect Master, who would have thought that he could easily enter it and obtain the Buddha’s Relic left by the Duwang Sect Master inside. Whereas the people from the Wanyan Family and those from the Church suffered heavy casualties nearby, yet couldn’t even set foot inside; this is fate and coincidence. If Ye Qing did not have that Buddha’s Relic with him, he would not have been able to enter either.

”If that’s the case, then thank you, elder, for your guidance!” Ye Qing grabbed the box beside him, and couldn’t help but think of the Tianzhu Sword Technique he had memorized before. With the Tianzhu Sword Technique, he could tap into the power within the Tianzhu Sword. However, Ye Qing currently had no strength within him, and even with the Tianzhu Sword Technique, the Tianzhu Sword in his hand would be of no use.

Wuji seemed to have seen Ye Qing’s thoughts, and said, ”You understand the Tianzhu Sword Technique, you can control the Tianzhu Sword. Even if you have no strength to activate its power, this sword is still a sharp Famed Instrument, and dealing with beasts on the mountain is not difficult. With this sword in your hand, self-protection should be more than enough!”

Ye Qing nodded, Du Canglang had tried to use the Tianzhu Sword to break his Vajra Indestructible Body, showing the power of the Tianzhu Sword. Even without activating its inner power, it is still a powerful Famed Instrument. As long as he doesn’t encounter masters, the Tianzhu Sword should be able to deal with ordinary beasts.

Taking a deep breath, Ye Qing picked up the Tianzhu Sword, bowed towards Wuji, and walked directly toward Mount Wendao.

The mountain forest they were in now, looking at Mount Wendao, was not too far. However, the saying ”looking at the mountain tires the horse” was no exaggeration. Though it didn’t seem far, getting there wasn’t going to be easy.

Wuji stood in the distance, quietly watching Ye Qing slowly ascend the mountain, and after a long silence, he finally said in a low voice: ”The fusion of Buddha and demon, coupled with a karmic Dao, is indeed interesting. Since heaven has gifted this person, who can bear the power of Buddhist and Taoist Magic, it is fate. I want to see what the fusion of the Three Teachings will bring!”

After finishing, Wuji slowly gazed toward the sky. In the sky, the Killing Wolf TriStar was exceptionally bright, illuminating the entire sky under its radiance. The chaotic world of Three Stars had formed, and even the distant full moon seemed dimmed under the light of these stars. As for other Zhou Tian Star Dou, they seemed to be obscured by the light of these stars, and completely invisible.

However, not far from the Three Stars, a white star emitting white light struggled to shine. The light of the Three Stars was strong, yet it could never suppress this resilient white star!

Wuji looked at the sky, sighed softly, and said in a low voice: ”Three Stars’ chaotic world, Heaven, Earth, and Man Three Gates simultaneously open, the ancient prophecy shall finally commence. Can you alone save the world?”

No one stood beside Wuji, so no one heard Wuji’s words. Wuji’s words carried infinite sighing, with a hint of almost despairing helplessness in tone. For this acme Taoist Sect master to make such a sigh, it shows the dangerous and uncertain future!

After staring at the sky for a long time, Wuji slowly turned around, about to leave Mount Wendao. As he turned, he saw far away on the other side of Mount Wendao, several figures heading towards Mount Wendao. Judging by their speed, their strength must be considerable, at least at peak mastery.

Upon seeing these people, Wuji glanced at Ye Qing in the distance again. Ye Qing had already walked far, and judging by the situation, he surely would reach Mount Wendao first. But with these people’s speed, they might catch up with Ye Qing on Mount Wendao.

Wuji frowned slightly, given Ye Qing’s current situation, although holding the Tianzhu Sword, it is mostly useful against those beasts. When dealing with these peak masters, it is of no use. If these people catch up with Ye Qing, Ye Qing’s situation will indeed be dangerous.

Not to mention if Ye Qing can find the Wendao Stone on the mountain. If these people catch up with him, he might not even survive. Don’t even think about the Wendao Stone, the Tianzhu Sword might fall into their hands!
